Started my day at Party where i grinded 500 hands. I think i lost 40bb.

At noon played at Lads. Was super focused. Killed all external tasks and windows. Cardrun was pretty decent as well.

Those big pots on showdown where my KK vs QQ, FH vs FH where i was the stronger one. I still can't tell if the stable red line was because i had good cardrun or because if played focused. I'm more inclined to good run.

2nd Lads session in evening was not so good. It startet out well, i was up 2bi but then out of sudden i couldn't hit flop and got check-raised and cards where shitty, and i ended up in the set ups. Which made me tilt. Good thing is that I start to notice change in my mind but i don't trust this feeling and keep on playing. When i had this feeling i looked at Lads bankroll and noticed that i have 23 cents missing from 340£. I thought that i will give it a final push of 10 min to get that money and then sit out but ended up losing 1,5BI instead. Luckily i could shove my stack with good hand and got a call from 2 pair and this was kind of comfort. Otherwise i would have been mad angry at myself.

I'm currently in elevated mood because finished this morning's Party session and I can't complain.

played 560 hands at Lads yesterday. So, together with Party i did get 1k hands. I had a friend coming over yesterday and drank a beer so 3rd session was canceled because i didn't want to play poker while not being sober. Watched 'The Master' instead. I didn't get the movie.

Anyway, Lads session didn't go well - only red line managed to be over 0 for 20 hands. Everything else was below 0$ and final result -210bb. I don't know why. i was focused but...

Nice blog. I feel sometimes the same like you...it works everything ok and suddenly red line goes crazy....of course in opposite direction as we wanted Maybe this is also part of variance i don't know....we are at those micro limits to figure this out i guess

Yeah, i don't know why i couldn't play yesterday. Had no workout so i should have squeezed 3 sessions, but i guess schoolwork and coaching vid took my time.
I did listen to Krishjanis and reduced the number of tables. I would like to say that my play imroved but looking at the graph i'm not so sure - red line is still droping. Good blue line means only good cards. Any way, important is that i am more confident and fold more. emmm....this could explain as well decent blue line

I couldn't keep my head clear and just fold on turn.
Villain was a reg.

I was too lazy to make weekly update on weekend. Spent most of it on stressing about my CV creating and job application. Friday was chaotic as well. I'm trying to finish my school and turns out that there is one subject which is not teached any more in my school and i had to find a substitution for it from other unis and only one that has something similar is 200km away from me. To make matters worse i have to pay for it. Anyway, as a result twice per month i travel 400km in a day to take a 4h lesson in other city.

Poker wise i'm doing a bit above average. Considering that 4 days have passed from which 1 was schoolday and 1 day from weekend was planned for job application and some studies then i had 2 full days to play poker, which means i should have around 2k hands. Turns out i have 1970 hands and results are not bad:

Interesting thing is that i don't have any update about Party which is logical because as i completed all bonuses(+18$) then i have no interest in playing there and Party account is not linked with PS.
Short summary tells me that during this bonus grinding i lost 4 BI. So, this mission was not so successful.

I think i should still have my morning session to get at least 1k hands. Thing is that Lads doesn't have good tables in mornings but i have seen spewing at Party as early as 07:00 EET. That is 05:00 by Greenwhich time(?).

Had good sessions:

Funny thing about EV line. If you follow EV line closely then you see that i did have 2 suckouts. First (big) one was UTG(37/7) limping and me on CO raising 4x with KK. UTG shoves and i call and he turns around ofc AA. Flop xKx.

2nd one was 63/25/40 UTG(38bb short) again limping and me 4x. He 3bets me. I call(in my mind i was ready to go all-in pre) and we look at flop - T :club:5 :heart:8 :club:. He bets half of his stack(which is also half of pot) and i put him all in. He calls and turns around KK. River is A.

One thing that i forgot to say was that after my downswing i did as Krishjanis told and started to table select. Lot of money I have been bagging recently has come from fish. Before i just sat down at table that had avg VPIP at least 20. Now i'm standing up even when there is a fish at the table but he sits exactly at the opposite side of the table. Though I keep playing when fish sits to my immediate left.

Not so much luckbox at Party:

The player pool is totally different. People are more aggressive and i'm being pushed out of hands very often when i might have had the best hand. But let's keep fighting!

again, only 700 hands.

First, morning session, was kind of ok. I mean, i felt i played ok and was focused.

2nd session in the evening was not ok due to my lack of focus.

But when i look at the red lines then it seems other way around. Looks like in the morning i was just folding and not bluffing and playing my premium hands. This big drop in blue line was my AA against regs KK. I'm sure he sucked out on turn because i slowrolled him preflop. Oh, the graph would have looked nice when i would have won that pot.
During the evening session i was peaking chrome on 2nd monitor and thinking about playing 'dungeon keeper 2'. Oh yeah, this game is bad ass. They don't make such any more.

Yesterday when i was jogging i realised that this blog doesn't quite serve it's purpose. There were 2 reasons why i wanted to start it:
1) Take a commitment to play
emmmmm....this haven't worked out as well - i still play less than 1k hands a day. I guess i should figure out penalties for days when volume is less than 1k.
2) Track my progress
I remember when i started with poker then i posted into internet some hands where it seemed that villain sucked out on me and i had the worst badbeat ever. I happened to look at those hands after 1 year and it was so embarrasing to acknowledge that it was me who played these hands so badly. I checked the flop because Q and T are both in his range and he doesn't fold to my cbet. When he checked back i inclined to think that he doesn't have Q and another Q on turn was good for my bluff. I think i repped Q quite well there. As i'm telling everyone that min raise on turn is sign of nuts then this was the line i decided to pick. Smallish river bet made it even stronger? Ofc only now i noticed that J was missing from straight. He could have easily have that.

I feel kind of improvement. Play more conciously - stick less to SHC and more according to the players left from me. I remember i used to bet and then take a look at villains stats now it becoming more and more other way around.
But yes, i must admit that very big role in my positive results is on decent card run which could end any time.

Yesterday i was sure that downswing has started because i droped below EV line ♦ and i was dealt crappy hands during 2nd session.

One more thing. Analyzed strategy points and rake contributed(PT4) and turns out i need to pay up to 4$ rake(at Lads) to get 10 SP-s. It could mean playing as few as 400 hands or up to 1000 hands.

Didn't have fish at Party tables so i decided to close them and not generate rake. At Lads i wanted to test if I generate 4$ rake then will it result in 10 SP-s.

I'm not sure how to play here. c-c doesn't seem right as i will not have any information about his hand. I could easily bet-fold here but once he calls me (which i was kind of expecting) then i need to slow it down. Another thing here is table image. Usually i am able to create tagish image by not cbeting with unmade hand and when i cbet the flop then i tend to win at showdown and when opponents have noticed that it is much easier to take down the pots on flop.

I'm not sure why i decided to 3bet OOP villain who raises only 5% and i have no info about him folding to 3bets. But the reasin why i posted this hand was to understand if i could have played it more profitably. According to Equilab AQs is 5% borderline. So, theoretically he could have floped 2 pair(best case scenario). Any way, i'm not sure. I think check on flop is good. If turn would have been blank i would have fired but in this case i was thinking that if villain checked behind on flop then he is less inclined to call on turn and maybe river will bring him some strength. I bet river so small to induce a bluff. I think that if i would have bet 1$ he is more inclined to fold than shove as he doesn't greate any FE.

confirmed - paid 4,6$ rake and got 12 SP-s. It means i can rely on PT4 stat. So, this level up challenge is only about finding the time. My only worry is that i will start playing only to achieve the challenge and forget the results as happened at Party where i lost 3 units at tables to get 1 unit as a promotion. Actually i am not so much motivated to get the gold. I have still lot of silver stuff that i haven't gone through and i'm kind of slow at learning so it will take time to digest gold stuff. Although i would like to see Raskolnikov's videos.
I guess my biggest motivation is to prove that i can manage my time efficiently and find the time to grind 4$ rake for 20 days and making profit. 20$ bonus by Lads is also welcome. At nl10 it doesn't sound so much but better than nothing.
No poker for today as today is uni at the hometown. I traveled already yesterday so that I wouldn't have to wake at 6:30 to catch the morning train. I kind of regret that as it meant not playing at yesterday evening as well

I have nothing good to report. I have played even less and Go for Gold campaign is neither going as expected.
According to PT4 on the 6th of March I contributed 4,2$ rake and PS gave me 10,6 strategy points(+10 extra).
On 8th i contributed 4,46$ and PS gave me only 9,08 SP-s which means I have wasted another day. So far i have 4 days with less than 10 SP-s. And i know i'm gonna have more of them.

Yes, i know - 3bet bigger. I think it was misclick or smt like that. Postflop: I see no reason to cbet as i get called only by A or in a good scenario by flush draw. Calling the turn seems ok as well. Folding is too weak and raising has no point. If he 2nd barrels on river i guess i need to decide on his bet size. He knows that i don't have an A and he could be valuebeting his J.
