Sorry to hear about your mojo. I'd let you borrow mine, but it's a bit rusty.

What stakes were the cash games you were playing? Don't play cash at DTD either the rake is insane. Play at J10 or come Birmingham still. I had a monster session on Friday. I had nearly 2.3k on the table at one point :)

We were playing 50p/£1. It seemed to me to play a bit like NL10 online. Everybody was playing too many hands very passively and not folding anything. I will just have to be patient, and the money will come for sure.

And the rake is indeed insane, although it is a very nice experience.

I'll still be Zimmering but nothing else (well maybe the odd live MTT when I feel like the entertainment although I can't play the £14 donkament now so it will be rare). I thought I'd mentioned this before, maybe to MC or Tdawg.

Lol @ Tdawg.

Well, I've got the taste for live cash now, so I'm expecting to be playing once a week. Just give me a shout if you want to come too.

Will do, though it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy out of my league BRM wise, I might occasionally come and short/mid stack the odd £20/£40 from time to time.

I was rather disappointed not to be able to spend more time with the Tdawg and MissC this weekend. It turned out that mrsjb was out on Sunday too, so I couldn't have gone out then either. I sense a conspiracy! Hopefully they'll come back, to visit DTD again, if not to visit me.

Speaking of conspiracy and disappointment, mrsjb got an email saying that Muse have decided to put the stage somewhere else when they play in Coventry, so our great tickets have been replaced with equally good tickets, and by 'equally good' they mean 'utterly shite and near the back'. Mrsjb is exchanging emails. We also discovered who the support act is going to be. Should be good right? There must be lots of rock bands who'd love to support Muse.

Drumroll.....

Spoiler

Fml.

They did a similar thing to mrs gadget and she ended up so far away from Michael Jackson she had to watch on telly because she was too small to see the stage anymore. Hers were also; ' ...of equivalent value.' how does that work when you can't see?

Sounds like you guys had some fun at the weekend, even if a little curtailed from your point of view, so well played there.

Dizzee Rascal...well played again sir.

This is the very definition of the lowest stake live games.

Simple strategy is only see the flop with "nut - type" hands and then "peddle the nutz" post flop.

He's a lucky bastard. What he meant to say was 'I'm 10-0 up in our HU 19 game challenge'. We played a HU FLHE SnG all the way up to the 150/300 blind level, and still I couldn't beat him. Bah!

Mrsjb currently has a friend and her son visiting, and she knows I don't like her much (her friend, not mrsjb), so she sent me to Ikea to buy furniture last night. I hate going to Ikea usually because the kids moan, but going on your own and getting to eat Ikea meatballs is actually OK. However....

Me: Do you have this wardrobe in beech?
Them: No, we only have it in walnut. We're only a small Ikea. You need to go to Birmingham or Leeds to get the beech version.
Me: You look pretty big to me. Couldn't you get one in for me?
Then: No, we only have it in walnut. We're only a small Ikea. You need to go to Birmingham or Leeds to get the beech version.
Me: Ikea logic. :f_mad:

It's also just taken me two hours to get in to work. It's a bit foggy, therefore nobody can remember how to drive. Number one son made me put on Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche at the weekend, so it was still in the car, and I listened to it this morning. It's actually rather good considering it's 25 years old. A bit 80's, but firmly in my list of favourite heavy metal concept albums at number three, although admittedly there's no number four.

Life's a beech. And then you die.
