I have a question. You said that improving your redline is important on nl10/nl25 and good player who are looking forward to beat those limits should focus on it. I play ABC kinda weak TAG and it's hard for me to do some moves or call IP spectacular hands. For example like you did : Call resteal Bu vs Sb with A8o IP. I would 4b/fold there what were your thoughts with this hand.

Thanks man!

We called the re-steal because we were getting such a good price, if I make it 2bb and he makes it 4.2bb then I'll call, if he 3bets a normal size like 6bb then I'll fold/4bet, when we are getting SUCH an insanely good price AND we are playing in position + ofc lots and lots of skill advantage then we shouldn't be keen to fold much.

As for suggestions, maybe you can get into some battles with good players and regs next time and show us how to exploit them?

Every Wednesday, 7pm in the UK, 8pm in Europe.

Thanks for the nice words. Sure, gotta find dem good regs first though ;_

I way playing to much ABC poker wich don't work out so good in micros (rake kills you)

I have a question about preflop allin at zoom 100bb deep, you said that TT is bottom of you're calling range against not 100bb opponent (he had 17$ and he called with 99). How about vs a regish-tight unknown guy would you 4b jam TT/JJ 100bb deep or is it better to 4b fold JJ maybe even QQ?

Thanks so much! Will try not to speak too fast for you ;)

I said TT but it would have been super psotion specific, if I say, QQ is my range, don't just go and 4bet/call QQ from every position, its all relative and important to take everything into account.

I,E JJ bvb I'm just about OK to get it in, but UTG vs BU it completely changes, its extremely important to think about ranges and how they change dynamically with the effect of ranges.

Yeah, generally if somebody does something weak then I will try to punish it, it completely depends on the board texture. I wrote something in a French blog today (In English) which speaks about it.

raise the flop/turn and barrel off imo , both look weak to me and we also have bd spades. River I actually expect him to b/call the river given his stats/sizing.

sorry for English.

Hello pleno, even if you were writing in chinese i would be glad to see you here pointing out some of my leaks. =)

Turn i think i understand why my turn play is poor easily than why the flop is bad.

Could you please tell me if i am on the right direction?

I was calling flop to let the BB come so i was able to play multi way against 2 fishes with a draw on position. Why i think i was wrong: Given UTG's sizing we can assume he will give up turn frequently, but if BB call flop with Jx, Tx+GS with the turn PSB he probably won't fold against a turn potsizie shove seeing himself commit. But if i raise flop he will be more likely to fold with thoses type of hands... and ov with his small stack it's not that interesting to invite him on the multi way.

What kind of BB would make you call flop instead of raise? (100bb deep)

River is that the raise wuo is wrong or the raise with another sizing will be acceptable?

Thanks for your time and sorry for the bad english...

Generally, if they were weak players as well as being a fish, I would just raise flop as we have no sd value, we also 1) have a bd fd so can barrel extra turn cards and 2) can rep diamond and put on pressure, as well as obviously going for value on 8 cards. If it was a bigger sizing otf then I like calling, but vs a weak sizing otf (I always expect fish to bet bigger with 2 pair+ on such a wet flop) I think we can raise and take off (we also get value when they call once or twice and fold turn/riveR)

Ok , I see your point now , thanks for reply Pleno1 !

Opponent stats:

Opponent position:BU
Opponent stack:100bb
Hero's image: TAG
Hero's position:SB
Hero's Stats:

Your range:

Calling range : QQ+AT+ 88-JJ KQ
3bet Range : A2o/s - A9o/x K8-KJ Q8-QJ 22-77

But really I would 3b here 80% of my range since is going to be EV+ but problem is my 3b statistic will increase in eyes of regulars and they will 4b me more often right ?

I'm only at page 6 on this thread but I have a question.

How do you play from the blinds vs UTG or MP (which is a regular). What is your strategy or aproach?
- With what range do you cold call? And with what plan postflop? If there are conditions then list them if you can and say what is your adaptation for every one.
- With what range do you 3bet? And with what plan? The same for the conditions like above.

The more clear and accurate the response the better (no "etc." and stuff like that =) ). Thanks!

Also I like your notpad method, just use Ctrl + Z :P

Hi Pleno,

Great coaching, I appreciate what you are doing for the community. Keep up the good work :f_thumbsup:

I have a litle range question. You often mention you tend to fold 22-55 from EP, and yesterday you openfolded all Axs from both EP and MP. I remember from the begining of the thread that you are not big fan of opening AJ from EP. However yesterday you opened KQo EP. So I was wondering if that was accidently or you have some reason to do it. I understand the concept of this Axs being dominated and OOP and I don't make profit with the lowest PP EP so not playing them makes sense to me.

I suppose their alternatives would have to be suited conectors and suited broadways for their semibluffing potential unless we are fine with having EP open range <10.

However PPs and Axs/AJo have higher equity than these so when I think about how my open range from EP should look like I keep secondguessing if A5s or 78s is better hand to open.

My question is about why you prefer over betting when attacking a weak range rather than double barreling?

Lets say you get to the turn and you are checkked to IP and you want to bluff against an identified weak range. You are showing examples of betting 2 to 3 time pot. So you have to be good very often to be profitable. Now because you are picking good spots, you get this easy.

But, if you double barrelled say 2/3 pot you risk far less. Often the hand just ends after one street. And you also get them to put money in on 1 street and then fold it on the next.

Do you think your fold equity is significantly stronger by overbetting? And do you really need that fold equity anyway? Because you are trying to get them to fold a weak range, and you want to be avoiding the stronger range anyway.

Also twitch is the nutz, the coachigns are really helpful. And it's great to have these recorded and be able to watch them later. Tahnkyou!

Twitch is awesome. Missed the coaching on realtime but watched just few hours later.

I think I prefer microgame coachings over zoom, theres much more dynamics and read based play.

I adore twitch. It's done for mass volume listeners + You make a bit of profit :) The only problem is that this coachings will be for basic members aswell. That's not a problem for me though.

Hey man I know this isn't strictly the right place but I know you have a lot of HU experience, can you help me out with this one.

300bbs deep live NL20 with an aggro fishy guy. Every hand so far has been 4bet.

Hero is BU w/ AcAd
Hero raises to £0.6
Villain Raises to £2.2
Hero raises to £6.1
Villain calls
FLOP AhQh9d
Villain checks
Hero bets £6.8
Villain calls £6.8
Turn Jh
Villain checks
Hero bets £12.8
Villain calls £12.8
River 3c
Villain checks
Hero bets £~35 and is all in
Villain tanks
Villain vainly attempts to level hero

How do we re level here to get the fish to call 3rd pair?
