Pre-flop seems like a pretty clear shove. I like to min bet/call w/ down to 9 bb, but when we got less I would say push or fold pre-flop.

As played on the flop I like the check/call, he can't have too much when there only is one king left, so we might just scare him away with a shove.

Just shove this pre.
Min raise looks much stronger than shove and if A hits flop you have to fold with 5 BB, not good.
I think once you get below 10-12BB its either fold or shove, irrespective of how strong your hand is.

Hey Adam!

With 7bbs just shove pre with kk. That should be the maximum value line as well!
With 10bb+ you can still minraise qq+ and ak+ for maximum value depending on opponents (how lose they call shoves or reshove or defend against minraises)
