SnG Blog - Stars Knockouts -

Sitting in a boring class at uni atm, so decided to write this little post now.

January wrap-up

[x] Get silver status on Stars
[ ] Play 500 games+
[x] Atleast 1 sweat session/week

Need ~50 games to complete my volume goal, might play them tonight, not sure yet. If I make it to the 500 games, I'll update tonight

So far I've really enjoyed my KO grind, games are soft and traffic is pretty decent. Player pool is pretty huge, though I've encounterd some regs. Most regs aren't that good, though they probably still have an edge on me haha
My understanding of the game is a lot better than when I started. Need to study a lot if I want to beat the games at the higher buy-ins though

There's not a lot to wrap up this month, I hope next month will bring some more exciting updates than this one haha, obv the micro stakes aren't the most exciting stakes to follow

I've also made some new goals for February:

- Maintain silver status
- 1000 games+
- Move up to the 3.50's
- Clear 2 stellar bonus rewards

Not the most aspring goals ever, but I like to keep my short-term goals within reach. Completing a goal is really motivating for me, and motivation is always good

Small update, just to let you guys know I´m still playing

February started out pretty bad, running bad + playing worse than my C game, so had to change that around. I´ve had 2 sweat sessions so far where I played, which helped me notice some flaws in my game, that weren't there in January. Having someone watch me play really helps me make focused decisions on the tables.

After the first sweat, I was back in profit During the second session, I played 3.50's. Even though I wouldn't have played them by myself, with a 7-15$ reg watching over my shoulder I felt confident that I wouldn't be over-run there. Play at the 3,50's still looks pretty much the same as on the 1.50's.

Second session ended in a nice profit aswell, probably gonna have another sweat session at the 3.50's tonight. With a bit of rungood, I might be able to move up very soon.

BR is a bit higher than the KO's justify, after another weak session I decided to re-read some material about sng's, while playing some 0.10 360 turbo's for fun. Played like 10, 2 final tables, 1 ship, ez game ♦

It's amazing what a few tips from an other player can do for your game. I've been playing pretty good lately, and luckily that's reflected in my results

I've cleared my first 10$ stellar reward and am currently in the top 15 of the high orbit Mercury board. I hope my score holds up, I expect the score to end somewhere in the top 50 giving me a nice little bonus.

Also, I'm now officially rolled for the 3.50s! Time to move up tonight/tommorow. I'll keep a stop-loss of 30 BI's, so when my BR gets < 250$, I'll move back down to the 1.50's. Let's hope it doesn't come to that!

Update!

I´ve moved up to the 3.50´s, and so far it´s been pretty good. Pretty confident I can beat this stake, but I haven´t put in any significant volume as of yet. Been feeling sick the last couple of days so that didn´t help.

I've cleared 1 stellar bonus so far, and I received a 10$ bonus from the Mercury Sit and Go Leaderboards last week. So that was a nice little boost for my bankroll.

Wish I had some news to update my blog, but uni has been keeping me from playing lately. Just finished my paper, 2 more tests next week and then I´m able to grind again

I'll start updating again after my exams are over!

Don't worry about things like this, get your qualifications and then you will have plenty of time for poker and other stuff.

My internet provider has been giving me random disconnects the last couple of days, but I think (hope) I fixed it now. Also got a back-up internet connection which should be fast enough to finish a session with.

Due to the connection problems I've spent my time reading some books; re-read crushing online SnG's, read Treat your poker like a business. Last one isn't really strategy related, but it's a nice read Also spent quite some time practicing with ICM trainer. And finally, set up a laptop account just for poker, which should help me keep focus during sessions.

Less than 20 games played since my last post, BR slightly below 350$.
