by the way with switch kicks it is very important that your heel comes above your knee onces you make you kick. It doesn't matter if you can do 120 or 60 as long as your form is good and not like these people.
lol wtf are those two doing?!?! ♦
Anyway, I might update on my insanity challenge... I had to take almost two weeks off, first because my knee, and then I got the damn flu. With two weeks to go till the end, I didn't feel comfortable with jumping back in straight to the max stuff, so I started all over again
I know I could have done a few workouts to get back into things, but I planned on starting over again, and it looked like a good idea.
Day 3 today, and getting the same sore muscles I did the first time over. Got to love it
Oh, and this time, I'll try to eat right. I gave my mother, my sister and my best friend a 100$ freeroll on drinking coke and other sodas. I also plan on not eating any sweets (apart from a few m&ms once in a while) and not eat as much junk food as I used to.
How's your progress this time, giraffe?

I am sure am doing much better then last week
I am pretty happy with my results. I see a different person in the mirror compared with last year may when i first started to work out. I feel so much better.
I am in the best shape of my life ever, i will post some pictures briefly when am finished but they do not mean as much to me as i think. I feel am on the path of getting even much more fitter then i am today. This just feels like a new start.
I think i wil reach my true goal in maybe 2 years from now. I wanna get in the best shape possible within my personal limitations.
Compared to the first 90 days of insanity (last year) i feel i make more progress now since i eat a lot better then last year. I try to spend more and more time on the food side. I drink protein shakes every day and i eat good healthy meals on 5 times a day so my body gets the right fuel.
Still am pushing myself to the max everyday, the last work outs feels as hard as the first one cause every time you try to dig deeper. That is what i love the most, the feeling of pushing your body further and further, i also do push ups, chin ups en pull ups a few times a day. Just for fun, last year i could not even to 1 pull up now i can do 10. End of next year i can maybe do 25 who will knows.
I already decided to do p90X again after insanity. I am thinking about mixing p90x with insanity. I like the dumbel stuff from p90x but still i do love the cardio from insanity. Why not do them both in one 90 days challenge.
You're going to do insanity and p90x at the same time?! Man, you're one sick human being ♠_biggrin:
I feel like I'm making much bigger progress this time compared to the first time I started Insanity as well. And I don't think it's just my physical strength that got better, but my mental strength, as well. I know what it takes to do it right, and I'm prepared to do it. Knowing the exercises helps, too.
I'm going to add some pushups/pullups to the workout from next week. I was thinking of doing this, but will probably do this instead (with the added insanity moment of V-pushups before the diamond ones):
About the pullups, I found this book (on piratebay ofc), and will probably try to follow it. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open to them.
Are there any negative impacts of doing insanity and something like this at the same time? I'm 99% sure there isn't, but want to make sure

Hi guys, started insanity workout today with my GF. Im happy I did not puke during the fit test, cause I really had the feeling I might. Hopefully I feel better next days.Yeah first few days your body will into protest and you will be in pain. If your body could talk it would properbly say something like "He bro WTF are you doing to me" ♦ ♦ ♦
I just started with the max trainingen after finishing the recovery training part last week. It is all the same as when i started the first day of insanity. My body hurts all day long and i realy think why am i doing this. But when am finished i feel realy great and proud.
I forgot how hard the max training part of the program is (who is at the max training part ATM?)
I can't keep up with the insanity crew at the end of the training but am still pushing to the max I can do (wich insanity is all about, pushing to YOUR limits).
I thinking about doing a realy insane assault course next year called mudmasters. The trail is designed by marines and is 12 kilometer (or 6 whatever you want) long full with obstacles.
Check it out on google pictures here and official website here
Good luck if you go for the Mud masters we have something similar in the UK: http://toughmudder.co.uk/ maybe its even the same company?? If its anything like this then you are in for a real hammering ♦ electric shock parts of the assault course ♠_o: think i'll stay at home and do more insanity instead ♠_grin:

Which reminds me... do you guys always continue with the program even with sore muscles? I have in the past. But how sore is too sore? Should you take a day's rest (or take it easier for a couple days) if the muscles hurt to the touch and your movement is impaired?
Nah, no breaks because of sore muscles, I always work through it. The thing is, once you warm up again, you get loose as well.

when i had a few weeks break i did a push up challenge through a android app on my phone i started with 22 max and at the end i could do 55. I like the you tube tutorial so i saved it for when it my break time.
I have my pull up bar installed all the time so i just use it several times a day, this also realy helps.
I agree that the mental part is also realy important, you should always try to dig as deep as possible wich has a big metal aspect. Still i can't keep up with shaunt T crew sometimes but that is not importand at all.

Looks pretty much the same but i just love the video from the site, very inspiring if you ask me.
For the onces that are interested just found my new schedule for after this 2n round of insanity.
It will be this hybrid schedule

5 globe jumps 8
6 suicide jumps 8

Nice story men, you should feel realy proud indeed. Am sure you can make it just do not give up. I went from 107 to 88 kg and my overall condition is just 400% better. If i can do it you can do it, there are so much people who did the same just KEEP ON BELIEVING IN YOURSELF.
I really want to do this but with my back condition (had a discectomy 6 years ago) not sure if this is a great idea.
I started walking 6 weeks ago and I now walk up to 4 miles a day but I'm not losing any weight any more
Have you tried swimming? It's supposed to be the nuts for relieving back pain and recovery from back injury. Also a great way to lose weight.
@giraffe: Man, that hybrid schedule looks ridiculous, I'm seriously thinking of trying it after I finish the insanity challenge. Keep us updated, please

Swimming isn't an option, at least regularly enough - I could probably only swim only once a week so that wouldn't be enough.

You can do exercises at home (bodyweight), join a gym, jog or if you like it ride the bike.
Personally I don't know what's the fuss with insanity or P90X; to me it seems that the exercises are too tough. Why not build muscles to your body and in time you will lose weight or gain muscle (whatever you want first) and look much better than doing Insanity/P90X.
Hey again
I did the second session yesterday of insanity and today my body hurts like hell. I cant even walk. Do you think is ok to have a midweek free day in addition to the end week free day?

nope not allowed. If you read this blog you will see everybody is having major pains the first few days. I recommend keep on working out but just stop when you can't do any more repeat.
The pain will go away, just give your body the time to adapt to working out. I had same problems when i started my 2nd round of 60 days. Just keep on giving the max you can do.
If you stop now and start within 3 or 4 days then you will still feel horrible pains the next day.
