on flop he could have any thing so I get value on a lot of his hands
when he barrels this size normally I have seen him playing strong hands so I put him mostly on AT+, A4 A7

On river I tried the Pleno shove, hoping to rep hitting my backdoor FD and mostly a hand like KhJh, KhQh and shove 145bb into a 37bb pot

$0.25/$0.50 No Limit Holdem
3 Players

Stacks:
BTN ($81.53) 163bb
SB ($50) 100bb
hero (BB) ($143.34) 287bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.75, 3 players) hero is BB 8♦ A♣
BTN raises to $1.50, SB folds, hero calls $1

Flop: 7♣ 10:diamond: A♥ ($3.25, 2 players)
hero checks, BTN bets $2, hero calls $2,

Turn: 4♥ ($7.25, 2 players
hero checks, BTN bets $5.50, hero calls $5.50,

River: Q♥ ($16.25, 2 players
hero goes all-in $134.34, BTN goes all-in $72.53

Final Pot: $217.62
hero shows
8♦ A♣
BTN shows
J♥ K♥

BTN wins $162.31 (net +$88.28)

hero collects $61.81 (net -$74.03)

Hi,

I really really dislike this tbh and not just being results oriented. Even if we he folded I wouldn't like it.

First of all, I don't really like the 4.5x jam. Second I think it's really bad to copy someone elses move without having a good understanding or a reason of why you are doing it. You have no good blockers, and imo you wouldn't/shouldn't x/c twice with KJhh here and you can't have QKhh unless you are playing a rigged game :f_biggrin: so you can't really rep anything. Also if you are saying his range is pretty tight here then imo it's a mistake to call here with A8o pre, it has pretty bad playability vs 3x. But as played, I think x/c flop and turn is fine, and just x/f river when a bunch of his draws get there and you can't really rep any.

yes you're right , but I need to choose my spot better. Learning through errors, I guess.

also wanting to rep I would have achieve nearly the same result betting 60-70 bb (close to 2x pot) and folding to a raise and saving myself 60 - 70bb as well

yes you would, but the problem is, he is like never going to fold to you, this is a spot where your range is only bluff catchers, and it's very hard for you to have the nuts, imo you shouldn't have KJhh in your range. And also if you did have KJhh, it's way better to x/shove river for you.

Is that a good spot to turn my hand into a bluff? Opponent is nitty reg(18/14, AtsSB 24, Cb 61/53/63, Cb&FoldtoRaise 43/50/100(2/2)). Small sample though(8k)

Hero (BB): $67.27
UTG: $21.69
MP: $51.33
CO: $50.00
BTN: $15.63
SB: $48.50

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with 8 :spade: 8 :club:
4 folds, SB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3.00) K :spade: 3 :diamond: 5  (2 players)
SB bets $2.25, Hero calls $2.25

Turn: ($7.50) 7 :spade: (2 players)
SB bets $5.00, Hero calls $5

River: ($17.50) 4 :club: (2 players)
SB bets $12.50, Hero raises to $58.52 all in, SB calls $27.25 all in

His range is stronger than yours OTR so it does look a bit optimistic to me

I think his riverbet is kinda large and thus a bit polarized which should make us rather call or fold?

.

The problem is that a large % of this barreling range is made up by turned flushdraws, which obv are never folding. I don't expect sets to fold either, so this is a no-go for me.

What about this one? I have some history with small blind(20k), and I only raised his 3rd barrel with nutz. His stats are: AtsSB 59/CbFl 70/ CbT 52/ CbR 49/ Cb&Fold to raise River 75/ WTSD 28/ W$SD 51

SB: $100.50
Hero (BB): $137.07
UTG: $104.92
MP: $18.50
CO: $37.33
BTN: $134.59

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BB with 5  5 :spade:
4 folds, SB raises to $2.00, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($4.00) 4 :spade: 3 :spade: K :club: (2 players)
SB bets $3.00, Hero calls $3

Turn: ($10.00) 2  (2 players)
SB bets $10.00, Hero calls $10

River: ($30.00) 7 :spade: (2 players)
SB bets $18.00, Hero raises to $122.07 all in, SB calls $67.50 all in

How it would change the fact, if I would have A :spade: in my hand?

I'm not sure man... it's SB vs BB so he probably opens any two suited cards, by the river he probably has a decent amount of flushes. I do expect him to sometimes vbet like this with a set or 2pairs, and then fold to a raise, but he probably still has at least 50% flush. It would be better with the ace of spades, since we then block all the Axss that he definitely opens pre. I think it's fine/good with Axss, but with this hand I would just fold.

You could consider raising the turn instead though. You block A5 and 65, and it's going to be hard to call you down with anything less than a set.

What does everyone else think?

ifs

Villain potbets turn.. What do you read in that? I think there is less chance he's bet/folding like that?
