Thanks for analysis. In fact that happened in both cases, that you suggested. These were examples, that it's easy to make wrong decisins in a longer sessions, which I used to do.

My first opponent showed 9T:heart: after call, second opponent showed 76:spade: after 2 checks.

1. Have you had any success with taking breaks yet?

2. One thing that you can do is to start talking you thought process out loud when you make a mistake or lose a big pot. So that you can hear your won thoughts, this has the benefit of you letting things out, slow time down a bit etc etc. Focus on the facts etc. Mark all hands you struggle with and tell yourself that "I will go back and look at this after the session is over".

Try this out and let me know how it goes.

Shorter session works better, as you can see from my summarization. But I found another problem corresponding to play time. It's well known, that more fishes play on the weekends. So this should mean extra profit. But in this year I had only one weekend, when I finished positively (10/1), it's not a good ratio. Previously I played very long sessions at the weekends, but I finished this habit, I play only 1-2h sessions.

To try to solve this problem I recorded the worst session in the weekend (I recorded only one, so I had sence for it ...), and we will analyze this with my coach.

Until know I didn't create video, on which I talked, because I know, if I speak, that reduces my focus skill. I knew this long time ago (even before I started to play poker) from my chess carier, when I play 5-5 minutes game when I speak to my opponent, I play much worser. But my theory is proved, when we tried to play some sessions together with my friend (I played, he watched and told his opinios).

Hey,

did you perhaps manage to take a look at my videos to improve your studying skills?

I watched your learning to learn videos. I also think over how I am studying.

Hand reviews:
I think this part goes ok. After sessions I used to make a short overlook, for bigger pots, and for problematic issues I used to ask my private coach. I also used to group the problems. So most of our couching session is reviewing these hands. I also usally take part our national hand review pokerstrategy coachings. If I still have problematic hands, which hand is still not completle clear after I asked my coach, or I have different opinion, I used to also post to forum to get 2nd opinion.

Video watching:
I think this doesn't go as it should. At first my video watching timing is similar to that table that you draw. Sometimes I watch more, and sometimes I even don't watch any video for a week. Also no thematic plan, generally if I see a new video with a good title, I watch it, and if it's a series, I watch all parts.
But I have to say, it's not easy to find video for watching in my level and in the topic that I like. Maybe it would be good, if PS can create a news in each week with some suggested videos (maybe not only videos but articles, too). Videos could be in a table and separated by level (not PS status) and content. In Hungarian site we have daily news, but it contains nothing about learning materials.

Database analysis:
We went through all of the preflop position with my coatch once, but maybe it would be good to use it more frequently. In this part I don't feel, that I can't do decisions alone, I need help to identify issues and fix them.

Sweat sessions:
At the begining I recorded more videos and analysed with my coatch, but nowdays we don't do it. Now I want to do it more again, so I recorded my worst session in this month (it wasn't the goal to be the worst, but it happened ...), so we can find leaks in it. So I took action in this area.
On the other side I used to take part every week in the same 2-3 coaching sessions, maybe it can be a good idea to watch some other, to figure more people's thinking.

Hey again!

that's great :). I have forwarded your suggestion for news about poker videos and topics to pleno and the diamond forum.

Ok, it's good that you thought about your studying, now you can also make some more concrete monthly/weekly study goals for yourself to make sure that you don't forget about these things and stay on track ;).

Keep on taking action and let us know how it goes!

If you record yourself while playing with cam and try to be vocal while playing you can do a review of your mindset during th session. And you also get to see yourself as you shift from being present to lost in though, the game, and tilt. :)
