Prima, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

MP: $87.48 (87.5 bb)
CO: $211.57 (211.6 bb)
BTN: $56.69 (56.7 bb)
Hero (SB): $100 (100 bb)
BB: $104.44 (104.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A Q
MP raises to $3, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.50, BB folds

Flop: ($7) Q 9 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $4.50, Hero calls $4.50

Turn: ($16) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $6.50, Hero raises to $16.50, MP calls $10

River: ($49) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $24, MP calls $24

MP

MP seems like a weaker player, some kind of semifish.

Preflop should I 3bet him? I was unsure, so stick with the safe option.

My plan was to ch/call him down, but after his small turnbet I went for a value chRaise. Should I raise bigger?

After he called on the turn, on a blank river I'd have played ch/call against his busted draws (and maybe he just bets KQ/QJ for no good reason). But on this river I'd rather went for thin value vs worse hands, cause if I check, he could check them behind on flush board, and bets flushes anyway.

If you didn't detect MP as a fish, flatting pre seems fine.

Turnsize definitely has to be bigger. Would make it around $26.
River block bet is good and of course fold to a shove.

I'd tend to agree, although I don't think we need to make it that big. 21-22 seems fine.

Thanks. What do you think about the plan ch/calling on blank rivers?

Bet.
I think he will call all of his bluffcatchers which he called OTT.
You don't know if he bets all his missed draws and he never bets worse for value.
