Have just played Courchevel H/L to find out they won't award FPPs. Full tilt also owned by Stars have also just introduced new games where you do get FPPs. Different programmers maybe but to me it just smells like a ripoff.

Have sent email to support and surprise ....... no answer

My recommendation is not to play these games until I get an answer from support

After having my previous email just forwarded to a "poker specialist", I then sent this email

FYI I made a regrettable mistake of swearing in my original email

To whom it may concern,

I agree there was no excuse for my poor language and I apologise with total sincerity. As you have stated it was driven more by frustration.
Mainly because if I can't trust PokerStars, who can I trust in online poker? If I can't trust PokerStars then I can't trust Full Tilt either.

I have started a post on PokerStrategy.com warning other players they will probably not receive any FPPs for raked hands. Maybe one of your PokerStrategy.com members could come on to the forum and reassure myself and others that this matter can and will be resolved and players recompensed at the appropriate FPP Rate.

The forum title is
No FPPs on New games?

The author is Lazza61 and it can be found in the PokerStars section.

Again I apologise for my poor language.

Yours Sincerely

From what I have seen there is no rake in those games and because of that no VPP(FPP)

Finally received confirmation from PokerStars support.

Hello Larry,

Thank you for taking the time to contact PokerStars with your concerns.

Please note that currently we do not charge any rake in Courchevel and Courchevel Hi/Lo ring games, as VPPs are a byproduct of paying rake then no VPPs are awarded at this time. After some time Courchevel games will be raked as any other ring game but for now they are rake free.

In order to highlight the fact that there is no rake paid; at the bottom of this email we have appended a copy of some of your hand histories for your review.

Please be advised that 5 Card Omaha ring games are raked just as other Pot Limit games and VPPs are awarded accordingly.

In response to your request to have an official post in your thread; we read the thread and the User 'AlwaysRemember' has posted what we would post (albiet in an unofficial capacity).

Do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Michal M

Don't really understand why they are raking 5 card omaha games and not Courchevel but there must be a method in their logic which is beyond me.

However thanks to PokerStars for dealing swiftly with the matter, again proving they have the best support in online poker.

Nice one Lazza thank you for investigating.

I guess they are rake free to get people into the new game first ;)
