Day 2.8.

I started to play only in the evening. But after I got my thoughts together, set the clear goal (4hours of play + analysis of marked hands at the end) and didn't stop until I reached the goal, everything doesn't look so bad anymore.

So as I thought I just didn't try hard enough 3days before.

After Day 2.8:

Day 2.9

Almost reached the goal today. Couldn't continued because I made 2 mistakes which did cost me 25$. I was very frustrated about the second one, because I somehow made it after I already analyzed the exact same one before.
Also I made only 1.5hours of analysis, missed the 1 hour of flopzilla.

As I planned, I would play tomorrow 4.5hours and off-table work of 4 hours to compensate for today's small failure in scheduling.

The result look awful, but I rechecked all of the big pots. Except those 25$ mistakes everything was ok.

After Day 2.9
Practice 18.5
Off tables: 20.5
Overall: 39.

Day 2.10
Did the planned 4.5hours + 2 hours off tables. But I still have 1 hour off-table work left.
I lost like 3 hours looking for day planning software, so I can visualize every day in calendar like style to find where else I can be more effective in my everyday scheduling.
I need to say that all 4.5hours were played in full attention. And I found when I'm playing for long time in such good state, I'm getting ideas how to improve my game in lots of ways.
The idea with planning software for example came to me when I was rescheduling playing sessions not to make yesterday's mistake again, when my middle session at the end was that great.

After Day 2.10:
Practice 23
Off tables 22.5 (1hour debt)
Overall 45.5

Days 2.11 & 2.12.

Nuff said.
I made my fair share of mistakes, actually today I thought I made more mistakes that I actually made, reassuring, sort of.

Yesterday I had a lot of stuff to do, so I'm behind on practice. I player 4.5 in 2 days.
Off-table work is ok though, cause I did 3 straight hours of math today in addition to 1.5hours of analysis.
So I owe 3.5hours of play. But I can't push myself more during such a downswing.

After day 2.12
Practice 27.5 (3.5hours debt)
Offtables: 28.5.
Overall: 56.

In the evening I'm too tired to write long posts every day.

Day 2.13

I played only 2:45. I'm only pushing my game as far as I confident that I will play perfectly.
3 hours off tables.
I noticed that I react to fish suck outs much better. Even if I could tolerate them earlier, always there were some small feeling of injustice. Now I don't care about the results (in a good way of course) if I confident that I put my money being ahead.
Also before there were times during downswing where I stopped caring about the results, but they were like temporarily give-ups, like your brain going numb and doesn't react to loss, but doesn't think even at b-level also. Now I think I'm playing even better when losing because l take every lost pot as a reason to recheck my plays, being more attentive.

Also while using Klok to visualise my day schedule, I found that I have to start playing right from the morning to achive 4hours+ of practice per day.
So since the next Day I would play from the morning, leaving all off-table work to the evening.

Day 2.14.
I made it a day off, because I need to help my grandparents early in the morning (normal morning) so I would be sleep deprived. And that's not a good idea to play poker in such condition.

Day 2.15.

Played a lot as planned. Only off table work was done after I played all sessions as planned.
The only problem, that I'm very tired and can't do any analysis except some basic looking through the marked hands.
I'll need to think about how I can do theory stuff at the end of the day. I can sacrifice it to play more hands.

After Day 2.15
Practice 36:15 (2:45 debt)
Offtables: 32.5.
Overall: 68:45.

Day 2.16

The local downswing passed and I let myself relax a little. It wasn't on purpose, I understood it only after I analyzed today's sessions.
This resulted in some small systematic mistakes which I missed until the end of day analysis.
Around 3rd session I sort felt that my play a little bit off. But since I didn't look through the hands right after each session, I couldn't grasp the results of my excessively relaxed state. But due to those observation even it wasn't complete, I managed to get myself together in the last session and avoided 2 extremely thin stack offs preflop, saving some nerves. Especially considering pokerstars gave nut hands to everyone at least 2 times every orbit J

As a result, I would return to hand analysis after every session, because it shows the state in which I played the session, and I can make immediate adjustments. Also I made notes of types of mistakes I like to make in this particular state.

After Day 2.15
Practice 40:30 (2:30 debt) +4:15

Day2.17 & 2.18.

practice 7:40; off-tables 5.5

Still looking for tuning the schedule to do more, now I'm on the other side.
If before I had problems with playing enough, now I have problems with allocating time for more deep analysis, postflop situations mostly. But I feel that I'm on the right track.
Less mistakes, more concentration.
My friend, listening to my talk about which mostly consist from the thing I do wrong, called me a perfectionist. I'm definitely not. I just feel all the time that my knowledge about how thing should be done is far ahead my practical realizations of that knowledge.I'm constantly thinking that I could do better, and I'm slowly becoming better.

After Day 2.17
Practice 48:10 (2:50 debt) +7:40

Days 2.19 & 2.20

At Tuesday and Wednesday I got a couple of injections to make my immune system react as a part of preparation for medical examination at Thursday.
And as always I get some mistakes in my schedule. I played 1 hour at Tuesday and instead of playing a couple more I began to analyze hands. And after that the medicine kicked in and I got a temperature and other symptoms close to regular cold.

Looking back I see that pattern again and again. If I have the whole day free and I can allocate my sessions and other poker work through the whole day, I'm ok. But if I have to start playing later in the day, my schedule getting messed with 95% probability.
For the next days I would concentrate on fixing it.

Wednesday is a disability day off. After 2nd injection I got temperature of 39 and was not able to anything at all.

Thursday I was ready to strictly stick to the poker plan , even if I have to start in the second part of the day.
It wasn't that hard. The only thing I had to do is to concentrate on one goal of playing as much as I can and keeping awareness for the moments when something goes wrong.

Days 2.21,2.22,2.23

When I just began to think "Hey, I'm winning something", I immediately got -200$ day.
Actually in the middle of that day I was around -330, and it took a huge effort not to quit, cause I was playing good.
The days were 4+2.5, 4+2, 3.5+5. I studied first half of the third day, exactly because of that swing in the middle. I think that such swings give me an opportunity to evaluate my real strength of the game. Only when things go wrong you can estimate how strong of a player you are. Plus some rare mistakes show up only in downswing.

After Day 2.23:
Practice 64:40 (6:20 debt) +11.5
Offtables: 52. +9.5
Overall: 116:40.

Days 24,25,26.

I will stop posting once in a three days. Looking back a little I think I switched to such posting schedule because in the evening I'm either exhausted, or caught a downswing, or just didn't met the goals for the day and hope to catch up the next.
But if I look closer those are excuses, and the problem in all of the situations is the same, I just didn't want to do it bad enough. And with such attitude I feel like my game worsens as well as the quality of my life overall.

Now what happened day by day.

24. The day was ok, 4+2.5, I was able to raise my usual amount of tables, by better organizing them on the screen, so can I pay more attention to what happens.

25. The problem I described earlier showed up: by having bad day schedule which promotes distractions, by working on tasks which are non-essential for poker, I managed to get myself in the condition where I cannot physically play. I played for 30mins, and for those minutes I have troubles even with recognizing what happens on the tables. The average flop structure evaluation took me around 5-7 seconds.
That felt awful. Fortunately, I had a plan ready for such situations. In my hm I had around 250-300 hands with mistakes as well as good plays which I considered useful for repetition after some time. So I just sat down and tried to reanalyze those hands, and then compare my current thought with the conclusions I had made earlier.
My condition was very bad, and I had to make breaks every 40 minutes or so. But at the end of the day, I could make 5.5hours of hand analysis, and I felt much better both in poker and usual sense.
0.5+5.5

26. It's grandparents visiting day. But on the previous day I came up with the plan for the situations where I can't start poker from the morning, but have to delay it for half a day or even more.
So when I returned home, I was ready to do some poker.
First, I made a group training. I think that discussing some difficult postflop situations is the best way to get your brain in the zone, so I planned it earlier. It took 2hours, longer than I thought it would, but as a result I felt ready for playing even if it was the 12th hour of the day.
I played and hour, than 30mins of hands analysis, then I played 1:15 more. I played literally as long as I could. I stopped only after my thinking process completely stopped with only mindless button pressing left.
So the poker play with delayed start is also possible, and turning such days into days off is a waste of time. I think it comes from my lack of confidence that I can play my best if I start late.
2:15+2:30

Lesson from those days:
Keep yourself in good condition, make a plan, stick to it, and you can play some good sessions in any situation.

After Day 2.26:
Practice 71:25 (6:20 debt) +6.45
Offtables: 62.5. +10.5
Overall: 133:55.

thx
I will try to make a summary of those two months after 60 days will pass. (it'll be in a couple of days).

Day 2.27.

4.5+3

First? I could play more. But As I planned previously I made 2 sets of exercises, cardio in the morning, and some strength training in the evening. It took some time, so I stopped at the 4.5 not to sacrifice off-table work for playing.

Second, I can play longer sessions, if I have condition myself correctly.

Nothing more to add for today. I will try more of those 2hours+ sessions tomorrow, cause they simplify the day scheduling process a lot. (Less time is wasted in between).

After Day 2.27.
Practice 75:55 (6:20 debt) +4.5
Offtables: 65.5. +3
Overall: 141:25.

Day 2.28

On the first look it nice like 4+5.5 day.
But I actually don't know how I could pull this off. On the previous evening instead of analyzing the last session I started to watch UFC 158. Because of that not only I had more work to do in the morning? but the quality of my sleep was worse than average.
Also I thought for some reason that it would be a good idea to do some serious theory work on blind defense right in the morning. It took me 3.5hours. I was in the middle of the day pretty tired and with out any sessions played.
Without planning even some good ideas can become harmful.
Since I focused my attention on the poker only I was able to play 2x1hour sessions.
took a nap and played another 0.5+1.5hours.
During the session I found that carefully thought through and executed hand gives me additional energy and motivation, I think that's the main think that kept me going at 4am in the morning.

For the next days I will try and concentrate on quick warm-up and playing right from the morning, and leave theory for the 2nd part of the day.

Lessons for today:
For overcoming fatigue problems you need to keep focus on the one thing to avoid distractions, and get some motivation to keep going to the end.

After Day 2.28.
Practice 79:55 (6:20 debt) +4
Offtables: 71. +5.5
Overall: 150:55.

Day 2.29

A good day 5:20 with 4hours of table work.

After I made 4hours, I was thinking "When I lift weights, the last repetition is the hardest and most important one, so let's apply that to poker". And I played 1 more session at the end. Due to my focus on poker only, I was able to keep concentration. Even when my overall condition was not so good, it's the end of the day after all, my brain froze, but it froze focused on poker only. I felt fatigue, but I was perfectly aware of everything what happened on the 8 tables I was playing (it's doesn't protect you from suckouts by random chinese grinders though).
The only so called problem is my false conviction that I don't do enough off the tables. Consciously I understand that 3-4 hours per day is perfectly balanced amount of time, but something inside is still bugging me "More, you need to study more, there is huge amount thing yet to learn".

After Day 2.29.
Practice 85:15 (5 debt) +5:20
Offtables: 75. +4
Overall: 170:15.

Day 2.30

It's ok day.
But I made a dumb mistake at the very last hand of the very last session, momentary inattention led to gambling with huge fish, which is always a bad idea.
That spoiled the result a little.

Looking back through the rest of the day, I messed my off-table work a little. Trying a little bit here, a little bit there. I worked for 3.5 hours, but I feel if I structured my studies better I could do the same amount in like half of the time.
And my first session was a little bit shaky after that unstructured studies.

Lesson for today.
1.) Structure your studies, which not only have better effectiveness, but also saves time.
2.) Keep attention to the last second of the session.

After Day 2.30.
Practice 89:15 (5 debt) +4
Offtables: 78.5. +3.5
Overall: 177:45.

What I found in the past days that it's very difficult to write about my own game in unbiased, unattached manner.
After summarizing a good day, it's hard to keep myself from bragging, after a bad day, it's hard to keep myself from excessive self-criticism.
So what happened in those 5 days.

I started to analyze the results for 2 passed months.

I looked at all marked hands and found. That I just through away 550$ in simpliest situations. As well as I got -250$ by not valuebetting.

Overall the quality of my game is still low, and the main reason I see — I'm not trying hard enough.
Almost every other day I step away from the well-tested every-day routine, just feeling that I don't really need it. (Yes, stupidity+pride is a dangerous mix, I know).

It took me 2 days to grasp the meaning of results. Actually, I can't call it grasping, I was in such a condition, I just can't make myself sit and play, due to lack of confidence that I could perform even at B-level.

So it was 3day vacation. And I already played 2 days. I will summarize them in the evening or tomorrow morning.

I play on stars, there is some rb, but not much. I think good field is equally important as a rakeback. And I prefer learning to play for winrate, not rb.
It's definitely possible, without making stupid mistakes on everyday basis.

As for new 4 days, I got really bad downswing again. So i can't write much.
I played 11 hours and studied 9.

Not much mistakes here, just very funny streak where I even can't win a top set over set situation :f_frown:

Quite rare situation. I lost only 1 flip and I immediately felt like I lost all my roll.
I wasn't able to get my condition back to normal, even after a set of physical exercises.
I studied hard though, 2.5hours of play into 4hours of studies.
Will read Jared Tandler book tomorrow, trying to solve the problem.

Keep the good work. It looks like you play right now more vs yourself than others. I was in such situations many many times before and i will be a lot of times in future to.

After everything i saw from you i know you are strong enough to keep with a great work you've done so far. Mental game is harder than poker:)

Good luck.
