Vonki's definitely right about your sizing. Get it on on the turn. I would also say that you are not without reads. He limp calls pre, he has 55bb, and he cc, cc, donks. Screams loose passive fish to me. Although you think, omg, he has so many busted flush draws here, he probably thinks he's betting for value, so you have to ask whether you beat roughly 28% of his value hands to justify a call. I would say he has 77, 22, AT, T7s, which is 10 combos that beat you and one that you beat. You need him to have another three busted draw combos that he bluffs for it to be a call. Seems close, so no point in fretting about it either way.

If you question is, what's the GTO calling range, it's a hard question to answer, because you have to think what a GTO villain would get to the river with and take this line. It's such a weird line that I have no fkn idea tbh.

Thanks for the comments. You're right about the sizing, I was keeping it small to set up for a 2/3PSB river shove as I wasn't overly worried about and flush draws with me having the Ah, but yeah definitely better betting bigger on flop / turn.

Not Zoom but was my 3rd hand at the table so nothing to go on. Guess you're right JB assuming he's a fish due to his limp, stack, etc but yeah. Folded in the end so that's that, glad it's close though as long as it's not an obvious decision either way.

BACK! :f_cool:

'Sup guys! I thought about starting a whole new thread but then realised there's not much point really, may as well rekindle the old blog as at least a couple of people will hopefully still be subscribed

So in approximately 1,500words and a maximum of 4 days time ill be completely finished my last report and all going well, will be done with university for good! As such, I am doing something I have been itching to do for a veeery long time and get back into poker.

I've been donking around last couple of month when im bored with the little money I had on FTP, mainly just MTT's and getting bluffed off a NL50 rush hand by jbpatzer when ive got half my bankroll on the table as I was playing just for the fun of it. But now im gonna to have a looot more free time it's time to give it another proper shot.

As it's been forever since I actually played properly, im starting from the 'bottom' - NL10 FR. This is definitely my preferred game and ive grinded (ground? meh) a bankroll up playing this game type before so easy to do it again, right? :f_biggrin:

I've got around 30BI for NL10 which is more than enough, gonna have to study a lot though as im very rusty but that's fine. Bought the Mental Game of Poker on my iPhone too. That was only yesterday though so not far through but definitely seems like an essential read.

Also played by first 1,000 or so hands tonight and have really got the buzz for it, feels good. No idea of results as I'm going to probably look only every few days or so or every x amount of hands, results aren't all that important at the moment anyway.

Small sample (2.5k hands) but im currently running at 17/15 at NL10 FR (reg tables). Is this too loose?

Positionally raise un-opened:

EP - 12.1
MP - 16.0
CO - 39.0
BTN - 59.3

Far too loose from EP?

Wouldnt say "far" too loose, but what hands are you opening?

I'd probably say KQ+, AJ+ and any PP is ok to open UTG, but ofc it depends a bit on how ppl are playing too :)

Just fold everything from the first 3 positions and pretend it's SH. Easy. :f_cool:

Yes. Even better. No need to over complicate things.
