Sometimes I'm not sure what to do with a flopped set on a mono board facing aggression. Is it better to call a raise and hope to fill up, or just get it in OTF? Obviously I have the advantage of position, so that made it easier to simply call. I hadn't noticed him raising flops, although I was 8-tabling at the time.

Villain here is 51/2/AF=2.3 so clearly not Phil Ivey!

Hello,

Just 3bet the flop and get it in. There are quite a lot of worse hands that he could have and with this hand we want to put the money in.

Turn is an easy call.

Best,
Plamen

Cool, against an unknown I'll follow your advice here.

Just one question though - if this exact scenario was against a post-flop nit, would it be any different, or do we simply have enough outs to get it in OTF against anyone?

Against nits this might be a different scenario since those guys doesn't really tend to raise draws and if we go broke here we are either against a flush or a higher set, which isn't cool.

So against a nit, I would just call and reevaluate the turn.
