Pics are great, but I see no trolls. I've heard that Iceland is the only place with more trolls than forums

Poker
Not going well. I finally managed to fix all the LAG issues with my laptop. I shutted down most services on Windows and disabled Aero and some other visuals, made my wall paper black, cancelled auto-refresh on HM2 etc. Have not lagged a single time since which is really great.Lost in a bit of money here and there with a couple of short sessions. Will try to grind a little more, still need 6 more hours to hit 200k VPPs

Hi Galvin,
which services did you disable? I'm having real slowdown issues on my laptop too. I've disabled aero but can you give me some tips/a link on what else to stop if possible please?
Thanks in advance
you can just google on how to speed up windows 7
I'm currently in a bus headed for Lithuania, going to meet up with doolovles.
I did meet up with getdotacom yesterday in Riga for a couple of drinks, dinner and played some pool (he raped me 3-0 ♠). When I get back to SG in July hopefully we'll get some skype discussions and sweats going.
I have been doing quite a bit on reading recently, ranging from poker books, investment books, and productivity guides.
:SIwillteachyoutoberich.com - Found this link for Ramit sethi's site from Schnitzelfisch's blog, I think this guy is awesome. I really like his approach to owning at life - He just does some extensive trial-and-error, testing and research for a wide variety of stuff, and he has a good understanding of basic psychology. Covers Productivity, Personal Finance, Clinching a Dream Job, Free Lancing

where's that? I'm in Bialystok now to visit some forest tmr and i'm going to krakow and warsaw after that. haven't really planned much though.
I'm currently in Prague now. I did play at Spielbank Berlin for 3 hours at 2/2 Eur since I was feeling kind of bored (second time visiting berlin and I did go for many of the tours already). Managed to make 500 EUR, since I ran kind of hot.
Those of you who follow my blog know that I did have 2 extremely bad runs in 2011 and 2012 playing ~the 5/10 USD equivalent in the Macau Games, losing somewhere around 10-15 k in total over 10 sessions. This time round I just opted for a more solid and conservative strategy. No need for fancy 3b bluffs or opening loosely/limping from EP. Just playing a standard positionally aware game. I did "cooler" donks quite a bit but they played pretty terribly overall.
A few things which annoyed me
1. I post my blinds and play my button, then I move 3 seats to my left and I was asked to pay the blind again. Is this right?
2. I posted BB and SB. In the next hand, some guy sat on my left and posted BB + BB (dead money). Then in the following hand, I, as well as the guy on my left, was made to post another blind again and the new player got the BU. At least from what I saw in other places, I am supposed to get the BU in this situation and not pay the blinds for an extra time. I pointed that out to the dealer but she insisted that I had to pay.
3. The entrance fee: Sure it's only 2.50 EUR, but why do we have to pay to enter? I also did not play in the afternoon, just walked one round inside and realized that the games weren't running and I got charged.
4. Drinks were ridiculously expensive, one bottle of still water is 3.50 EUR, whereas it's free drinks in Vegas, and free bottled water in Macau.
i have finally arrived in vienna. As soon as i got to the hostel i rushed to my PC to log onto pokerstars and there were 2 million hands to go. I desperately tried to load as many tables as possible at the micros but to no avail. Every single table, including the empty ones, were instantly filling up

anyway a bunch of NL5 players got the money. Hope they come to my limits to pay me a visit ♦
Gonna pay TT and Manu a short visit tomorrow - Pretty bored of visiting Old Towns around Europe as they get pretty repetitive after a while.
Hey mbml, when is part 2 of your book coming out which players would benefit the most from it?
i'll try to finish it soon (in 1-2 weeks), I think NL10-50 players could benefit the most from it. Mostly left with editing and maybe I'll add a chapter or two.
so...
I've been rotting away in Albania, melting under the sun. My initial impression of Albania while I was doing my research was that Albania is going to be a shit hole. It's really way better than expected (thought it was going to be as bad as Bolivia).
Everyone back at home in Singapore is bitching about the haze caused by Indonesia so I'm really glad I'm away. Heading for Gjirokaster today, and I'll end my trip going to Athens, Santorini, and Turkey. 20 days to go, and I'll be back grinding like a complete beast.
I've been trying to squeeze in 1h sessions here and there when the internet is stable and I am only playing 4 tables on my laptop. So far I've been running slightly hot and crushing the competition (lost 6k in May over 10 hours playing 4-8 tables but now I'm up 4k over 5 hours in June playing only 4 tables). Maybe I'll start cutting tables once I get my SNE this year and drop back to 6.

Awesome!
I've been in Santorini, and it's magical.
Bit too much maybe for some tastes, it's like a tourist city, but still something to experience.
that's nice to hear!
I'm in Kalambaka now, that's near Meteora. The Greek monasteries look beautiful and so do the rocks. Here are some pics.
