Hero mucked 8 9 4 T and lost (-$2.29 net)

This really is a strange line
What to think of it ?
Maybe I was bluffed.
On the one hand it looked like a bluff he bets super small the turn when the straight hits and the river changes nothing he fires the pot.

The problem is I've seen people do this line bet normal on the straight draw the flop hit the straight on the turn bet super small and a big river bet.
The irony is I've seen several times guys from Russia to do it .
This was a russian guy so I opted to fold.

dizela, time and time again over the months you have posted, you have repeatedly been asked to stop limping preflop. This is a huge leak in your game and it's costing you money, a lot of money since you haven't stopped making the play. It makes me question whether you're actually reading the replies that are posted for you if you can't manage to get this terrible play out of your game (it's really simple to do, just don't limp!)

The reason UTG bet the river is it's super obvious you dont have a straight because of your call on the turn. Therefore UTG can bet big on the river with his non nut straights (A3, 36) knowing it's good.

I would have raised the flop, checked back the turn and possibly considered a river call unless villain is not that aggressive and wouldn't typically bluff in this spot.

Yes I have read every one post that was written for me.
And I thank you for that and all the guys here that are helping.
You have given me many good advices that helped me improve my game.

The reason I limp in is because I am advised to so in my educating materials.
The teacher talks about which hands to limp how to play and when to play them.
The idea behind limping is these hands are speculative (7652s 9854s etc. ) some of them very marginal ( like T972s K675s etc. ) but they still have potential to hit something
big and we limp cause we don't want to bloat the pot as these hands will realyy miss most of the time.
He also knows the opinion of most people who atack limpers from the blinds and never limp pre flop but always raise.
But he says limping is ok.

Well I know you are not going to agree with me on that point about limping.
And I am not going to argue with you.
Who am I to try to teach you or argue you with ?
I am just explainig why I keep on limping.
It's not because I don't read the post.
I read them and I thank you for the time that you spent helping people.

What's your plan when you don't hit? You shouldn't be limping as your play gets very exploitable - you are most likely giving up without hit and play hard when you hit. Easy to read, unfortunately.

Hey dizela86,

i believe you are reading some very old educational material. From my quite extensive PLO experience, from pl10-plo100 in the last year or so, i'm yet to find a winning player that limps with the hands you do.

Check out some modern videos, even here at pokerstrategy, read some articles, and just look at the forums how people play. Limping is just not present. Limping caps your range. When you hit you are not getting payed off.

It just isn't good to limp in general in PLO (you might complete the SB sometimes, but that's about it).

Yes, this is the biggest problem with limping. It's clear you never have AA,KK or any strong suited rundown so on boards where say an ace or king hits, opponents very often can bluff raise you knowing you haven't hit that card.
