Without a read I fold the river simply because anyone with KQ/QJ probably checks. The only thing you beat is a fish with something like AJ53. I fold and let him have this one.

Yeah, he had A78x something, for a bluff. I definitely see what you mean that there is not much we beat.

Am I right, though, that we wouldn't expect KK**/AA** to bet this amount on the river, so his value range is mostly either 6x or a straight?

If a straight, how much would/should he bet on this pairing river?

Thing is, villain will excpet us to call here some of the time with KKxx+, if not even most of the time, so this usually looks like value.

I'm potting a str8 here always otr. There's no way you have a boat after not betting ott, at least usually :). Also might look bluffy.

Problem with him having a bluff, is there just aren't that many hands that he can bluff with. Weak 2 pair filled up, main OESD got there, so best case scenario he floated with the terribad hand he had. That doesn't happen that often

What you think about bluff raising the river? It's unprobable he has any boat but we can make a 6 and a str8 to fold by raising...

I find most people who bet/fold the river (with a better hand than yours) tend to bet less than full pot.

Why? I would think in first line, that potting the River looks strong and raising this bet looks that strong, that I could fold my str8 here.
But who do you mean, when saying "most people"?

Or do you mean, when a fish(midstack) pots here he has either a boat or a bluff?
So raising wouldn't make any sense, of course

If he pots river I don´t think he is doing that with straight, so he is either representing some kind of boat or has air. And he is not going to fold value hands if we shove.
My standard play would be b/f turn 13$ and then take my free showdown. Unknown midstack would likely peel a lot of random hands that our hand is still ahead and then I can either decide if I want to turn my hand into bluff and barrel river or take my showdown value and check back. Also I don´t have to guess if he is potting for value or has air
