Epic goal man
Will follow for sure
Thx guys! Plan on posting daily updates after I'm done grinding each day
July 18th Update
Day VPPs: 9719.24
Year VPPs: 767,063.4
Day Hours: 5.5 hours
Ended up grinding a bit less today than I wanted to in terms of hours, but can't be sad about getting just under 10k VPPs any day as that's over my pace of 8800/day that I work.
Going to be doing an hours bet with my buddy Ruse this Friday-Sunday, person who loses owes $20 for every hour that they lose by, so should be interesting!

Gla!
I hope you will achieve your 2mill VPP. Keep play like yesterday and everything should be okay.
By the way, you are very persistent player.

I have a question. Do you table select? I guess there are a lot of regs in 60$+ games. Or do u just play 6 reg games?
Thx everyone for the well wishes, I really appreciate the <3. Good to see more familiar faces that I recognie from 2p2/tiltbook :). Is there a multi quote function on here? I can't find it if so

I used to not table select at all, but after running so badly this year and also having my EV line go down, I now try to avoid 6 reg games and do game select. I definitely still get some 6 reg games, but nowhere near the number I did last year/early this year obviously

Day VPPs: 8627.75
Year VPPs: 775,691.15
Day Hours: 4 hrs 40 mins
Yesterday quickly turned to hell because one of my good friends showed up to my condo at about 6:30 AM minutes after being robbed + worse at gunpoint. I don't want to go into too much detail, but I'll c/p what I wrote about it on 2p2.
The Story:
So he's at a bar and this local that Ruse refers to shows up and our buddy ends up leaving bar with the local and 2 girls....the girls say they need to go to their house first and our buddy says he doesn't think thats a good idea and is just like nah nah etc but the local is like 'nah man its cool, i know these girls; anything that happens, i got ya man, i got ya!'
So buddy ends up agreeing and drives to the house, when they pull up, 2 guys with guns get out of a car that pulls up to them. Everyone gets taken out of the car, buddy has a gun put up to the side of his head. They end up taking stuff out of the car and then the local is made to stay with the 1 robber while the other forces our buddy to drive.
They make him drive wayyyyy up on these hills that are opposite the ocean side, up to where there's no houses, no buildings, roads are probably barely paved/not marked/etc...buddy thinks he's going to die because why else are they driving him way out here except to 1. Leave him and take his car or 2. Kill him and take his car
He ends up saying he has more money at his house and that there wouldn't be any problems if they went there and that he would straight leave Mexico and go to the US once they were done with him and that he wouldn't go to the police etc....robber decided it was a good idea, so they did that. Go to house, gives the guy money, then drops him off at the 7/11 in town and comes back home, packs * up, comes to my place and we figure out how to quickly get him out of here.
Was a real *ed up situation, I skipped some stuff but that's the main storyline. Sounded like a script out of a movie, couldn't even imagine being in my buddy's situation.
Yea, so my day quickly went downhill, didnt play much yesterday because of it. Didn't play very well the games I did put in after he showed up either. But yea, gonna study right now and get on the grind, gla this weekend!
Hmm i think the girls could be part of the scheme. And i don't think they were going to kill your friend. 99% of the robbers have never killed a man in their life/career as a robber. They were taking him there because they need some time to dissapear before he can call the police. But that's just my opinion and the whole situation is really fucked up. I hope everything is alright with you two.

Yea the girls obviously were part of the scheme, the local that my buddy left with might have been as well.
Also, this is Mexico....the cartel kills people. This was a cartel related robbery (I know this because the bar that this happened from is cartel connected, I know the owner, know his business etc, I partied with him a lot in Tijuana last yr). This isn't some random robbery in a first world country, this is prime cartel land in Mexico.

July 21st Update
Day VPPs: 9984.11
Year VPPs: 797,325.46
Day Hours: 5 hrs 40 mins

Ran really shitty the last couple days, but am getting the VPPs required pretty easily which is nice.
I think I'm going to start updating this once per week, probably on Sunday afternoons, where I'll go more in detail with how the week went and then also recalculate my 2mil pace so I/we can see if I've gotten more ahead or more behind pace etc. Just seems silly to update my pg&c on 2p2 every day and then snap post over here too. So yea, gonna try that. Next post will be in a week, BoL to everyone on the grind!
MTD Graph:

Heyo sorry for the lack of updates over here but I just don't think of it that often when I post more than 1x/day on avg in my 2p2 pg&c thread.
The rest of July was meh pokerwise, but I ended July on a health kick; currently doing a 10 day detox where I'm trying to quit all the bad shit I do (cigs, xanax, melatonin, alcohol, soda, weed) and start a 'new' life where I make healthier choices WRT food more often. The 10 day detox is pretty tough as I'm going cold turkey on all that bad shit while also changing up my diet, but I'm on day 3 right now and so far I've been doing pretty good other than being tired all the time.
Once the detox is over, I'm probably going to continue having this girl (health and wellness coach) prepare my bfast for me (2 smoothies pictured below along with something else, either hot bfast, assorted fruit, or w/e) every day and then probably have her supply some of my lunches and dinners, but am also going to try to learn how to shop/cook some of my own stuff, plus make healthier choices when I'm out.

Anyway, that might fuck up my poker plans as 2million VPPs is rapidly becoming something that might be really really really tough to do, especially if I keep wasting days due to being too tired to grind while going through this change in my life.
With that being said, I believe I'm going to continue the 2mil chase in August (pending my backer being against it) and will re-evaluate my plan at the end of the month. I'm going to be switching games in 2014, that is already fully planned out, so if I quit the 2mil chase, I'd just be switching to those games a bit earlier than was already expected...it'll be interesting to see how this all pans out
July graph: (rain) shitty month but I guess at least I didn't lose post RB

Tentative August Goals (change pending talk with backer)
-250k VPPs
-Finish Detox
-Continue to make better food choices
-Take all the manies
Gla, update to come maybe at the end of the detox on the 7th
gl with your detox/diet.
what games you planning on switching to in 2014? hyper satellites?

good luck with dieting and health plans! I am also trying to change my eating habits for the last couple of months! What I found though, at least for myself, is that it's way too difficult to go cold turkey. It seems like it is too much of a shock to the body so the body fails to adapt to the healthier lifestyle. So what works for me is making smallish changes on a weekly basis in diet and other lifestyle changes.
For example, one week I made the change of not drinking sodas. The next week I replaced all sugary buiscuits with nutella (which surprisingly is much healthier, or at least less bad for you). After 2 weeks, I switched from nutella to honey. And 2 weeks later from honey to fruits. The smoother transition makes it easier.
I am also very interested in your plans to switch. I play hypers now too, but lower stakes than you. If you don't mind, I would like to know your reasons for switching too. (my bet is that you're switching to HU hypers cos that's what the biggest winners are playing :P)
Also, can you please link your blog from 2+2 here please! I tried finding it briefly but i'm not very familiar with the 2+2 forums.
