HM2 mis-recording tournament finish places

HM2 has been working absolutely fine until yesterday's session.

From what I can deduce, HM2 is recording a lot of my finishes as cash finishes. If I go out on a table with 8 players left, even if I am way out of the money, it will record it as an 8th place finish in the money. So instead of showing ~$60 profit yesterday it shows almost $300.

What are the possible reasons for this? Is there an easy way to correct the results? Will I have to do it manually? Is there a way I can stop this happening in the future?

And this worked before? So i assume you are importing the additional tourney summaries?

You can edit the results manually: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2082/Reports+%7B47%7D+Tournaments%7B47%7D+Tournament%7B47%7D+Tournament+Editor

And please try to import some of the tourneys and summaries into a new database to see if it works there.

If you think its a HM2 bug please send us the original handhistory and summary files of some sample tourneys with screenshots of the wrong results and a link to this thread to hm2support@holdemmanager.com.
You find the files in the archive folder c:\hm2archive. Please zip them before attaching to a mail.

Everything was working fine for a month or so until that one session!

If I import the tourneys and summaries into a new database, is this just to see where the error is?

If that doesn't work I can just edit the results manually, but I don't know if it will happen again.

Yes, the test import is just to see if the problem is reproducable.

If it works again now you can just edit the wrong results.

I just reloaded HM2 and the problem seems to have solved itself and is now showing, as far as I can tell, the correct $ profit for that session.

Thanks for your time.

This sometimes happens, tourney data are updated after a restart. We are still investigating this problem.

The problem is back except this time it has lasted 3 days and won't go away after a restart of the software.

Any update on this problem or a quick fix??

Please zip and mail the original handhistory and summary files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to hm2support@holdemmanager.com. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

Will do, thank you.

It seems like we have a random problem when importing summaries while playing which we can't reproduce when importing the hands/summaries later. We are working on it.

Ok, is there anywhere I can go to find out the progress on the solution to this problem?

Click on Pokerstars - Options - Tournament Summary Options - change folder on to whatever you want, and make sure that folder is in autoimport for HEM2.

Are you saying the solution is to change the folder location of saved summaries?

Because HEM2 is already set up to import my saved summaries.

Hey there,

I had a similar issue a couple of months back playing 180s. I had a lot of finishes between 7th and 9th because HM2 was importing them as STT instead of MTTSNG. I've started noticing it when I cross referenced time played (duration of sng) and finishing position. And noticed also when comparing HM2 results with sharkscope/pokerprolabs.

Here's what I did:

1. Set Stars to save Tournament Summaries (and to keep +150 days).
2. Set HM2 to auto-import that folder.
3. After every session I still do a Manual Import in HM2 of that same Stars Tournament Summaries folder, which I notice always changes the stats/results.

This manual import of that folder could have the same effect as restarting HM2, without that hassle.

Now there's almost no errors in my database, but I keep tracking and comparing results with sharkscope/pokerprolabs every week just in case.

Hope it helps.
