3betting flop is def very bad without some special dynamics. call flop to keep bluffs in his range espc that we are in position.
just a cooler overall, I see no way we can fold at any point

I don't think there are many bluffs in his range. People at nl2 tend not to bluff very often. Opponent will call almost the whole made hand raise range that would probably fold on a lot of turn cards (high cards, spades). And even if he's bluffing it's very rare that he will continue his pure bluff on the turn after we call. Also I think a 3bet on the flop is suspicious as we are basically representing very few combos

I feel i played it fairly well and was just unlucky as it was an overpair that called. He would raise the turn with any highcard/spade so i don't feel i made a mistake.

I think that would be valid if we were oop, we put the 3bet to keep the initiative as we dont want him to check back turn with his air etc ... other than that, 3betting flop in this case seems very bad as we lose tons of value

flop is played 'well' but the bet is way to small, turn is missplayed, your hand is not afraid of getting outdrawn and you dont want to make any 0%EQ hands fold.

hey stompy91, i'll move this thread to the hand evaluation forum where a judge can take a look at it and give you feedback.

about the hand i think you played it okay, but you could also station the turn and then just ship the river to get max value if you think he has bluffs in his range. i agree that 3betting the flop would be a mistake because we would be doing it with the assumption that he will actually question what exactly it is that we rep, when really he just sees his hand and plays accordingly, i dont think he gives much of a damn what we rep here - thats higher level thinking and totally unnecessary here ♦ and yeah +1 to the flop sizing issue

I dont like raising the turn. It doesnt serve any purpose. Just call turn and u have slightly more than a pot size bet left on the river and can easily shove over his bet.
