Wants to take it down preflop, calls correctly, flop call is pretty easy one aswell given he is going to stack opponents KK/AA everytime if he hits
Hi.
I also guessed the hand correctly last week. Was I included in the raffle? (I posted my thought process a bit later but the original post was before the deadline).
Hey SilverFace,
Yes, you were included in the raffle! All members who guessed the hand correctly and fulfilled the conditions were included.
Will you be making another guess this week? ![]()
Kind regard,
Tino
pre, 3bet "bluff" to use your fold equity and add some hands to your range
when he 4bet we have implied odds considering that we will stack off our opponent very often when we hit
we call because we have outs for a straight and hope he has AK and slows down his aggression on future streets and check down his showdown value
on the turn we hit the nuts and call to keep his "bluffs in"
on the river we have a very strong hand and get it in!

3b bluff vs utg with card removal effect, call pflop with odds + possition, flop call with odds, turn we want to keep villain bluff range, river snap call. nh
I'm gonna go with sixes!
UTG opens 3BB pretty standard and then hero is going for a pretty wide 3bet, because he's (or she) on the button and will be in position on the villain if he or she calls. Hero gets quite a weak 4bet and has fine odds to call here, especially because of the button.
So, why am I going with sixes and not fours, threes or sevens... Because of the flop and turn play! About half a pot is a c-bet here and hero has gut-shot and of course two more sixes in the deck, also, has some odds of being ahead here (AK, AQ, AJ, KQ, 55... please I don't need to reveal my fishy thinking process here, because, I've seen 4bets this weak in with everything lately). Also, if hero has 77, 44 or 33, the board is very drawy, he or she would want this to not get ugly, and should avoid giving villain a free card. I mean, maybe it's only me, but I don't want to see for a 5, 6, 2 or another cube here, and any set is a favorite here unless it's a bad beat with our weaker set (or some crazy 56 combo). When hero hits a set on the turn, that's what was wanted (on of 6 outs from the flop). Of course, we can see a double-barrel here and although we should be ahead here (we are beating all premium pairs and pretty much everything, except that crazy five and sevens), we have perfect odds of just calling and waiting for a board to pair up or not to hit a cube, and even if it does, it doesn't mean we are behind. Also, the villain is showing extreme aggression and we are expecting him to triple-barrel as well with pretty much any card hitting river.
With that four on the river, this is the easiest call ever! ![]()
66 is my answer, and I hope I don't need to say what sixes! ♦ But if that's what I need, let them be cube and a spade!
You had KK.
If you had gone for a 5bet, since he was UTG, possibly all worse hands (such as AK, QQ, JJ) would fold, So you wanted to extract value out of them. So you called in position, with the thought of maybe folding if an A appeared. If he had AA, you were already beat, so you said to yourself, lets not push and scare him off of all those worse hands and make the KK profitable.
On the flop, he couldn't have had any of those baby sets, according to the 4bet, so you went on and called.
On the turn, although there was a 4 card str8 on the board, you weren't worried about 55 (again being a baby pair).
And on the river, you called, hoping not to see the only hand that would have had you beat. ♦

We 3-bet in position as we are ahead of his range. When villain 4-bets we call to see the flop as he has announced he also has a pp.
We hit that flop and are so far ahead of his range we happily let him barrel off his stack by only calling to set him up to bet the turn.
Same on the turn hoping to get him to bet the river.

In PF, we 3 bet since we have fold equity. After 4 bet, we call for implied odds and we have position.
In flop, we have a middle pair, more gutshot and flushdraw, so we call for odds
In turn, our card come, and as villains are still agressive, we just call and wait for all in bet from villain in river.
for me hero have A:SA:d utg dont call with less than QQ+ if he ship
so flat is good...
and on flop turn and R he have position so he control the pot size... and give him to shoot 3 times....
QQ - reraise then call the 2nd raise, the flop was no k or ace, just call then turn, just call then autocall for the river which again theres no higher than Queen...
Weird that hero chose to flat the 4bet vs a very strong range. Given that UTG 4bet is generally super strong value range but also polarized, I think hero has a strong hand to flat here. I would expect AA and KK to definitely shove for value though and stuff like A5s to shove as bluff. AA/KK trappy play could be good here but also disaster to not get it in vs AK pre. So I don't think it is these. hero seems to be bluffcatching so it often can be QQ,JJ, however because its a pleno hand I am gonna guess its some ridiculous impressive bluff catch where villain has air and hero has:
AQ
Not difficult. He have pocket Jacks.
If We 4-bet to opponent fold worth hand, also automatic losing to QQ+.
We hope He have AQ, AK, 88~TT type combos. calling calling calling post flop, then actually win maximize value for our pocket jacks.
A :diamond:Ax
Vill 4bets, without info we can't float with bluffs here so JJ-AA/AK
AsAx seems good idea to just call it down on this board, NFD blocked, not likelly small pocket pair.
JJ
3bets preflop and just calls 4bet because he doesn't want to get it all-in preflop 100+ bb deep, so he chooses to use his positional advantage to control the size of the pot and re-evaluate on the flop, hoping to avoid big face cards.
Calls 3barrel and loses to KK?
I guess KK is most likely hand, but hero can also balance out calling down AK (if he is flatting that spot KK), since villain should not valuebet too thinly just one pair hands on the river.
So I would go AdKx ![]()
3-betting pf for value, calling 4-bet, since 5-bet jam only get called hands that crush AK
floating flop, does not believe villain turn bet and hero call on the river

Righto in that case I'm going to go with 5♦6♦
Preflop: pleno is a spewtard and is calling 4bets with a wide range to try and make something happen postflop
Postflop: Flops the nuts because he's Pleno1 and that's what he does. Board non threatening so goes into calldown to keep UTG's range as wide as possible.
I'd go for 9 :diamond:6 ![]()
Pleno would never fold that pre or
he would castrate himself
+ he has position
and
position + initiative + skill = $$$$
on the flop with have gutshot + FD but raising would really be overplaying our hand so a call is fine
OTT we hit TP and now we beat all of villains bluffing range AJ+, KQ that he will probably keep playing repping big over pairs
OTR nothing change from OTT and still beat the same range
