also I think if u get 3 bet this frqtly yous hould condsider limping in. you can do the math on shoving its gonna be close imo.

If p is the probability that villian folds after shove and (1-p) that he calls and probability of losing the pot when he calls is 0.7 (because we have 30% equity), our E is:

E = 12.5bb * p - (1-p) * (47bb) * 0.7
we find p for E > 0

12.5 p + 32.9 bb - 32.9 > 0
p > 32.9/45.4
o > 0.72 (72%)

So it means that he needs to fold > 72% so that our shove is +EV.
If he folds 67% to 4bet,then we can't shove +ev´

Is it correct calculation?

E = 12.5p + (1-p)(-47 + 100*0.3) [with prob. 1-p we lose 47bb and win eq*potsize back]
= 12.5p +(1-p)(-17)
= 12.5p -17 + 17p
= 29.5p - 17

p = 17/29.5 = 0.58

it's bvb, I open to 3, he 3b to 8, so it should be 11

It is 12.5 bb because you have 1.5 blinds. Is the calculation from m3ta ok? Looks fine to me, but I would like to be sure.

those blinds are included in total 11...

my open to 3bb includes sb
his 3b to 8 includes bb

so total it is 11bb imo

I may shove if he is shorter but this seems like a pretty ez call. Too strong to turn into a bluff, too weak to shove for value.
