i have a problem in that i have alot of trouble keeping focussed on things. as a result i've been sorta doodling around from one strategy to the next, dabbling in some BSS when i first got my BR, then going to SnG's, then a brief stunt in SSS which ended badly.

However after playing about 400 hands of SSS i found just how easy and worthwhile it is. making $5 in less then an hour from my measly $10(thats how much i have left on titan, i got my $50 on FTP) bankroll.

So... proper Hold em manager reports etc etc. hopefully ill be able to get back on track and start making some proper moneys.

at the moment im multi'ing 4 tables. but thats only because i cant seem to find any more. i feel i could probably handle up to 10 tables without too much trouble.

anyways.... onto the blog.

DAY 1:

aims:
[x]start my SSS career
[x]adhere STRICTLY to the SSS SHC
[x]be in profit for the first day

Starting bank roll: $10.01
Ending bankroll: $18.32

Today was my first day of official SSS grinding.
Starting at the 5c/10c limits, and i intend to be moving my way up as quickly as possible while playing conservatively as a proper SSS'er should.
i only played a bit under 400 hands because there arn't enough tables to play alot.

I play using the minitable option on Titan poker, and i am using 2 monitors, my laptop and a 19" CRT. i loaned my 22" LCD to my brother indefinitely. or at least... until i get my computer running again

today went quite well, every time i went in with the winning hand, i won.
I never went in with the losing hand.
Aces held up for me a total of 3 times.

Pretty pictures time:

Wow... all in with 33 after a raise... im glad to be the person to have taken the money off this girl.

And last but not least: the ONLY hand i played all day that i am sure i did the wrong thing in. luckily i hit my queen on the river and took the pot. however the opponent was stupid to have called the turn with mid pair?

best of luck luck, and hopefully you make good progress.

It's much easier for us to read if you convert those hands before you post them with a site like http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter.

*edit I would comment on the hands, but I've never played SSS

converted them using weaktight.

im pretty sure i was playing with one or two people from this forum at one stage, the names rung a bell but i cant remember them now.

edit:

PART 2 OF DAY 1:
decided to play some more poker as im really loving these returns im getting, i realise i must be on an upswing to be making $4+ per hour on NL10 but ill take it while it lasts.

Starting Bankroll: $18.31
Ending bankroll: $24.68

aims:
[x]continue to make money
[x]read up as much on poker as possible while multitabling.

managed to get 6 tables up and running and got profit from every table.
ended up going broke in one, rebuy'ed for 20BB and a couple hands later i trippled up with aces.(NOTE: it was more like 2.5x, one of the callers only had $1)

yes, i know... but hey, who's in APL regionals and whos not :P
i should start coaching you, we will call the class "how to completely donk out in a live MTT and still make the final table" michael can be our example.

DAY 2:

STARTING BANKROLL: $18.32
ENDING BANKROLL: $26.79 (rakeback gave me an extra $4 or so)

after a shocking start(down 26BB's in 10 minutes due to a donkey calling a raise with 2 4o and hitting 2 pair on the flop) i managed to pull it back to be in profit about $2.

i've got a few interesting hands today, but first, pretty pictures:

edit: nevermind the big $3 loss at the beggining, i was teaching a friend of mine how to play just before i started SSSing and he decided to shove with mid pair when i was out of the room

my Donkey play of the day. i am fully aware i should have folded on the flop, hell, i even said at the table "this call is SOOO wrong" but it paid off. last time im doing this however.

yeah. i won, but it didnt feel good doing it.

this next hand im not so sure if i made the right call or not. the guy raising had raised the last 6 hands without seeing a showdown. and i knew he hadnt hit the jack on the flop.

im also noticing that my holdem manager is recording hands i've never played.

according to HeM, i've played a hand where i open limped with 98o with $4 at the table... 2 problems, i NEVER limp, or play 98, and i NEVER have $4 at any table.

Not good I can see tears soon - calling a raise with TT with a over sized stack.

You DO need to read the rules again :) you lucky boy

BUSTED
[x]adhere STRICTLY to the SSS SHC

LAG SSS WINNA

so as a hard and fast rule you cannot use reads in SSS? i thought it may have been ok having seen his previous raises

skribz:
nice, you took a screenshot while i was BSS'ing with my brother(sarenace on these forums)

pr0 H4X imo

lucky he didnt make the screenshot bigger or you would have seen the blinds :O (1/2c)

also, even if i was LAG SSS'ing, my PR would be almost the same as my VP, as according to SSS you only VP if you PR.

sorry, 2g4u

another thing: i also play alot of HU, which may explain your VP stats on me(rigging pokerace? i think so)

No reads - just by the book.

I HATE SSS like you would not believe, but played it to get my bank roll up to where i can play BSS FR & SH - PROPER POKER - which I did and i am now playing at PP - but cuz of some cocks up and loads of messages betweem me and PS/PP I am not tracked at Party, even though i signed up with the code, BUT cuz I had a play money account as well, this is what ended up getting tracked X( - I have now given up trying to sort it out.

So when I hit Bronze, I go over to FTP and SSS by the book ,just to get my strat points and get back to silver.

GL

Paul

in order to break the monotony that is SSS, i've started playing some $1 HU, 6max, and FR SnG's on titan now that i have a $30 and can use proper BRM.

one thing i notice is that almost EVERYONE playing $1 HU are absolute donkeys, i managed to win my first one tonight in the first hand where he called an all in with ace high(i hit 2 pair on the river after 4 barrelling him with top pair)

just a quick update, i placed 2nd in a rebuy tournament without rebuying and won $77, bankroll now at $102

Well done Semesa on your 2nd place dude :) Was it a $2 dollar buy in with add ons? I'd imagine the prize pool being bigger for that :O
