Meh, busted 24th for 910€. Started day really well, but then 2hours card dead, left 50bb, lost like 35bb KAs vs 77 and then whats left AQ vs AA, nothing much can do.
Maybe well go to swim a bit in a sea and then maybe some cash games. Tomorrow flying home.
Hey, my journey is over, came back home on Sunday.
Overall it was succesful for me, came back with more $$$ than had at the beginning. Don't have a lot photos, a little bit later will review them, if anything suitable will post them here and will share my thoughts about the journey.
Can't find time now to grind a lot, I'm just enjoying the summer. In hour going with my girlfriend by the sea till Monday, so no poker for few days again, but I'm happy
After I came back home, played like 2.5k hands mixing NL100 and NL200, up like 1k$, so I deserved short holidays ♦
So stay tuned, updates will come in short time
welcome back home ![]()
such a terrible day money for my bankroll...
Firstly had a small car accident which will cost me like 500-1k$ and then this:
It's two sessions. Nice last 300 hands, logged on to grind a bit during "happy hour" and yeah, it became terrible 20 minutes... FML just one day will cost me like month of grind
So okay, I'm not moving to NL200 anymore until I show 30BIs wining graph at NL100.
Not in a mood to write something more, just sucks that things go not on my side and I can't do anything about it. Goodnight.
Hey, finally got some time to update my blog, when I'm not lazy.
Yesterday was wondering, why do I suck so much and my results aren't stuning and just breakeven, where could be my major leaks and etc.
Was filtering graphs when I moved to reg tables and I was pretty surprised, that the reality is not so bad, I mean my results aren't so bad, I just have other mental issues, which causes my results breakeven.
And the most important thing which don't let me to grow my bankroll is that from time to time I do something silly, like start playing deep tables with antes or smth like that and there I spew majority of my winnings.
Now I'll show some graphs, all of them are since I moved to regular tables, not so many hands, but tendencies are clear.
So first graph, the most beautiful and surprising for me was at NL100, didn't expected that graph would look like this:

Second graph is only at NL200. Not many hands, but EV still up, which is nice.

Third graph merged NL100 and NL200 graphs:

And last one, the reality graph, with spewed money at deep tables:

So assumptions I can make from these graphs arem that I must control myself and stick where I am best at, only in this way I'll be able to grow healthier bankroll and move higher.
Not so many days left of summer and I have to collect 17k VPPs by the end of it, to hit 200k VPP milestone, coz plan of this year is 300k. It won't be so easy to do grinding only at NL100 and of course I'll have days where I'll be just enjoying last days of the summer , but somehow I must succeed.
So that's it for now. See ya and gl at the tables
For me it happens more often than time to time, I don't even imagine that it can be different, so I'm not disappointed too much ♦
Anyways have to work on my game a lot and don't spew and some day my results will skyrocket
Already several people asked why don't I update my blog, the answer is - it's the last days of summer and the majority of the time I was just chillin' and enjoying them with my friends. Didn't forgot poker, was grinding quite much, because had to reach 200k VPPs by the end of the summer and yeah, I've already succeeded that.
So a lot things happened during the time I didn't update my blog, I'll try to sum it up shortly.
Firstly I'll begin with short trip report from Golden Sands Eureka poker tour as I was lazy to write and upload photos before.
So it was the first live MTT for me, because I can't play in my country(21year old policy and I'm 20). I went there with my dad, he satellited to the main even too.
We came to Bulgaria at about 18:30 local time, but we had ~120km mountain road trip until we reached our hotel so it was already dark outside. We checked in and got our first dinner ![]()

After that sandwich we went to casino to look around. It took like 10mins till I joined cash games table didn't stay there long too, lost my first BI quite quickly ♦ Then decided that's it for today, will comeback tomorrow ♦
Next day in the morning finally got nice breakfast and could see how our hotel looks like. View was something like this:

Then went to the beach to look around and test the water. And we saw this:

Didn't expect so much people and water wasn't as clean as I expected, but still better than in Baltic Sea. If I would search a place for a vacation, for sure I wouldn't choose this one. I didn't like it because it was too much crowded, most of people like 16-20 years old drunk kids. Also the town was really noisy, especially in the evenings, because of the one after another bars fighting who will play the music louder. So as my plan wasn't to chill there I've chosen this building:

I was impressed by this casino and hotel, it is for sure worth his 5stars. It was modern and clean, had a good staff and tasty food, which all players of the tourneys could eat for free in the evenings.
Main event didn't go as I wanted, but it was quite nice expierence and not boring to sit those 8hours. At the beginning was running pretty nice, slowly growed 1.5x of the starting stack, but then got one cooler, where I could bust all my chips, but somehow managed to loose not so much. Then again was recovering my stack slowly and when it was again at the peak I was card dead like for 2hours and got like 12BBs left. And then got one more bad beat ♦ I thought that the first day was 8 levels, it wasn't clearly stated anywhere that it is 9 levels, so I left my stack to blind out
Later when I came back to play some cash games, I was wtf!? Then finded out that I got still 7BBs left ♦ So came back at Day 2 as the chip leader from the bottom and busted in 3rd hand 88<KOo. GG!
Wasn't planning to play anymore MTTs, because I was satisfied with cash games, but still registered for 330euro 2Days Mini-Event and vuola finished 24th/400 for 910euro, thought that will go for the final table, but again at late stages was card dead and couldn't do anything. 22k for the 1st.
Also met 2 lithuanians from skype study group, who came to play cash games and just chill. Played some evenings together, at the same tables was pretty exciting ♦
To sum up, trip was +EV because of expierence and of course because of $$$ earned, came back with more money than left my home
By the end of September, with same lithuanians planning to go for another poker trip somewhere in Europe ![]()
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Already written wall of text, so shortly about online poker:
Several days ago started shooting at NL200, because got comfortable and felt like crushing NL100.
Graphs of both limits since moved to reg tables:
NL100, luckbox yeah? EV still owe me like 9K$

Graphs aren't beautiful(working on that), but still above 0.
So a couple of days left and university starts. Not so mad about that, but not excited too. One good thing that I'll have free Fridays, so longer weekends ![]()
Also finally will search for a table, chair and external monitor, got to set up my grining place more motivating to work.
Oookay that's it for now, it took me more that a half an hour to write this post, hope you enjoyed it. Gl and see ya!
Remembered my good old 25$ hyper-turbo tourney:
You finished the tournament in 16th place. A USD 156.55 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
Meh close, could be better.
Tomorrow it's last day I'm in my hometown. Moving to capital city on Sunday, happy and sad at the same time. Happy coz a little bit bored in this small town and nothing much to do there, so bigger city, more things to do, but sad coz I'll have to leave my girlfriend for one more year, luckily last one.
NL200 still running hot.
Good to see someone who really put in the effort succeed. Keep grinding and good luck at the tables bro!
Well hello everyone!
I see almost 3months passed since my last update and yeah as you can see I'm still alive and luckily not busto ![]()
A lot of things happened during these 3months, but I will try to sum up them, we'll see how big wall of text will be, will try to make it easy and intresting to read
So by the end of the summer I caught kinda nice upswing, but as usually it didn't last long and after that guess what starts? Yes, you are right a downswing! ♦ By saying downswing it doesn't necessary means that I'm only unlucky, I still have a lot of mental game issues and it's not only tilting during games(I guess this problem is dissappearing from my game more and more, especially during this year, I've improved a lot), but also not enough of sessions playing my A-game, some focus problems ant etc. These are major things why my game is so swingy, but after some analysis it's not hard to realise that this area has improved a lot, compared with the beginning of the year or last year. So I really happy about that.
So after the summer I've started my 2nd year at uni, it looks easier than previous year, but still kinda sux, because it takes a lot of my expensive time. So at these first months I was just studying, playing poker and other stuff.
One of the most intresting things that happened to me during those 3months: by the end of October I decided that it's time to relax a bit from routine and go somewhere, so with fellow cash games grinder we decided to go to Barcelona for poker trip and some other stuff.
So we went there for 7days and rented not expensive, but comfortable room near the casino.

It wasn't really hot at that time, but it was still nuts compared to weather in our country.
Some pics near our place:

Our office(first skyscraper):

One more cool expierence was to visit camp nou stadium(biggest in Europe almost 100k seats) and see home team playing, sick expierence for real!
Before:

After:

Also we went to themed park called Port Aventura, which was absolutely sick, didn't believe that I'll manage to go on that tallest and fastest hypercoaster in Europe, but I did! and enjoyed it a lot, I crushed that Shambhala as well as other scary stuff ♦

Some other pics:

And other days was just grinding and eating(it's soo expensive there, people in my country can eat all month with the sum we spent on two steaks ♦ )
Overall journey was great, results aren't impresive, could be better if not bad last day, where lost couple of buy-ins(was playing 2/4 euro coz no smaller stakes tables were running during all week, just 2 days 1/2 with huge waiting lists). So covered all my expenses and came home with a couple of hundreds.
I'm now really excited, coz after less than 3 weeks I'm going for one more poker/skiing trip. Will be staying at Prague for 5 days during estrellas poker tour, EPT and other many festivals will be running at that time, so a lot of action guaranted. And after those 5 days, we'll be going for another 5 days for skiing, still haven't decided yet, where exactly, maybe somewhere in Austria, we'll see that soon. So yeah finally doing things, which I enjoy most
And something about pokah:
Lately caught a small downswing, couldn't win anything at the tables, was grinding NL100 and got one more beat. One day was looking around in tech shop and decided that it would be a great idea to finally buy a backup HDD and the funny, but crappy thing happened, that next day after buying HDD, my computer started showing errors, that I need to do a backup of my laptops HDD, because it is at risk and can crash at any time. So wasn't so worried when I had all important stuff saved. Already bought new one and some extra RAMs, should be grinding more comfortable now.
So still grinding NL100 and last days was good again, had several winning sessions in a row and the most important thing that I was happy about my game, even if I'm playing more tables than usual due to rakeback stuff. By the end of the year I need to play 70k more hands to reach 300k VPPs milestone and I have about 30 days left, because a lot of days will disappear, because of my journey, but for sure I'll manage to play that amount.
Also started helping two good friends of mine to start playing poker by staking + coaching a bit, it's really hard, when they don't have a clue how to play this game, but I see a potential in them, because they really want to succeed, that's the most important thing. A guy who started to play earlier already is playing NL5, other one started several days ago, you can check his blog here.
I guess that's it for now, already it took quite a lot of time to post this, need to study many stuff for uni if I want to go to the journey with calm mind.
So see ya and GL at the tables!
Hey what's up everyone!
Found my blog again not so far like on 6th page, it's for sure clear that I don't have a skill to update it very often, but big updates once in a while still cool, because I enjoy by myself reading after some time and see if any progress was made
So last update was with Barcelona's trip report, now I can write a bit about my poker trip to Prague.
So I was there in the beginning of December, with 2 other lithuanian grinders. We went there by car, it was like 1.5k km + some adventures when GPS starts trolling, pretty tiring roadtrip, but still it was kinda exciting.
We got a really cheap place for 19euro/night to sleep 1km away from casino at friend's friend's apartment, so journey by car + living costs was dirty cheap.
So after like 16-17 hours trip, like true grinders we went to casino to look around, but to play only came back the next day. It was the first time for me at such big poker festival, never seen such a big place with so many poker players. The level of organization was really high, I liked everything very much.

We went there to play only cash games, but I've still tried 4fun 330euro mini-event, unfortunately didn't succeed :/
We were grinding like zombies 10 to 14 hours/day, was really sick, but I liked that expierence, trained my stamina a lot ♦
Also one day we went to oldtown to look around and I was amazed with that nice oldtown, felt like in Medieval ages.
Some pics:

First days of grinding weren't the best for me, was running really terrible, but last 2 days turned everything around and came back from my 3rd poker trip as a winner again ![]()
We also were planned to go to Slovakia for skiing after grind is done, but due to some issues for one of my friend, we had to come back home, wasn't upset really much about that, coz felt a bit tired after a week of some sick grind. Was really nice to come back home again and with more money than left
So skiing is already planned in the beginning of March I'm going to Austria with my friend, but this time no poker for a week at all, will be cool vacation to refresh my head ![]()
Also in April considering to do one more poker trip to Ireland, but still anything is clear yet, but we'll see, already miss live poker a bit ![]()

ONLINE
Ended my year really good, collected my 300k VPPs quite easily and was crushing tables really hard. At the moment playing only NL200 regular tables, feeling quite confident finally, but still have a lot of work to do, can't wait to try NL400 for the first time, but I guess like 2-3 months I'll have to wait.
This is the whole graph @NL200 since I've moved to regular speed tables:

3bb EV winrate for me ex breakeven player is really nice!
I proud of myself, because I've improved in 2013 so so much, not only my skills at the tables became better, but mental game and productivity improved a lot too.
And for sure I'm not gonna stop, this year going to put even more work, because I want to succeed so much and reach higher limits, to build huge roll and start doing something more serious, I'm talking about business things, because taking money and not creating anything valuable for people not so fair
Goals for 2014 are pretty simple: work hard, grind hard, study a lot(not only poker), too lazy to specify them more at the moment
I guess that's it for now, nobody knows when I'm gonna update again, everything depends on feedback or if again something interesting will happen and I'll be in a writing mood, so c ya, GL everyone!
