I am quite surprised that the following movie has not been mentioned yet.
For me this is one of the most memorable scenes regarding mindset situations and poker. It comes along with a poker hand setup at the end, stonecold deck like in all the other poker movies, they are just playing 5-Card Stud Poker. Everyone of the viewers in the room is cheering for 'Cincinnati' (The Kid) during the final hand until Lancey Howard flips over his Gin card in the hole and busts Cincinnati for all his money.

But it is not the scene of the hand, it is about the scene afterwards. The Kid is being left alone on the street. He is totally down when he meets Mick, a young boy who is earning his money as a bootblack. They used to play a little gambling game when they met and so they do this time. Mick never won against Kid but this game. He follows up by quoting Kid himself: "You tried to hard man, you're just aint ready for me yet."
Alot of lessons learned through this movie, besides it is also a great movie too.
