QT check/call flop, c/f or c/c turn depending on sizing
94s wp
65s c/c turn, but leading seems also ok, as played Im calling river

about 8-12bb nash is good guideline anyway its hard to be bad around that depth even playing just nash there is very little edge possible, also wriggers is right, people still minraise and limp around that depth, many people will minraise strong hands like AJ, not openshove, ofc if someone barely raises 40% hands 20bb id call much tighter than nash also if someone minraises all his strong hands than you can call much wider than nash.

Thanks for the feedback guys very much appreciated, kinda figured i misplayed some of the hands, regarding nash i dont know the ins and outs but i think from now on i will probably stick to nash when im at ~10bb and below, seems like the best way to go unless villian is super easy to adapt to. :)

Another hand, been working on barreling alot as i think ive realised the power it can have when used correctly, plan was to shove river apart from a 6 or 3 since i think thats villians most likely holdings. Also given this specific river if im checked to should i shove anyway?

Villian BB VPIP: 73 3bet: 30 (35 hand sample)

Check/call :57 Check/raise:29

Poker Stars, $1.44 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 670 (33.5 bb)
BB: 330 (16.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 Q
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) 3 6 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB calls 40

Turn: (160) K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 80, BB calls 80

River: (320) 6 (2 players)
BB bets 170 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

320 pot
Final Board: 3 6 7 K 6
Hero mucked 9 Q and lost (-160 net)
BB mucked and won 320 (160 net)

GL All :)

If checked to I wouldn't barrel this river, it's the nut worst card in the deck vs his range. Although I definitely agree on shoving most rivers as we get folds so much of the time.

Ahh ok thanks,

fairly low volume considering its a sunday, can you tell where i had a shot at 3.50s again?

Really frustrating, been reading blogs around here of other hyper players, also been reading posts on other sites regarding hypers, everyone says like yeah 3.50s and 7s are "lol soft", but im really struggling at 3.50s. Maybe its psychological but i doubt it since im comfortably rolled.

At 1.50s it is of course very soft, but at 3.50s i tend to run into the hyper aggressive fish who 4x alot preflop, raise every flop etc just standard fishy stuff but i dont know how to properly adjust, will continue working/grinding and see how it goes but defo hurting my motivation if i cant even beat 3.50s.

GL All :)

PS. Sorry for moaning like a bitch

Quick update

Played some more 3.50s last night/today and ive been running better, however im embarrased that for the first time today i berated my opponent in chat, losing/bad plays at the 3.50s seems to tilt me alot more than at the 1.50s, probably because im more results oriented.

Anyways it was a successful sesssion overall, and i have some hands to share:

Villian - SB PFR:40 Limp:0 (20 hands)

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): 520 (26 bb)
SB: 480 (24 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 8
SB raises to 40, Hero calls 20

Flop: (80) Q 4 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (80) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets 40, SB calls 40

River: (160) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets 80, SB folds

Results:

Spoiler

160 pot
Final Board: Q 4 5 3 6
Hero mucked 9 8 and won 160 (80 net)
SB mucked and lost (-80 net)

On this board texture i would expect most competent villians to cbet Qx,FDs,SDs,5x. When he checks back i have to stab here? And when he calls i think his range is likely A highs, 4x, poss 5x but unlikely, river is a perfect card to bluff, good move?

Next hand, villian - BB Call:57, flop c/call:50

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 500 (25 bb)
BB: 500 (25 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 7
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) 3 2 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB calls 40

Turn: (160) Q (2 players)
BB bets 60, Hero calls 60

River: (280) 9 (2 players)
BB bets 80, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

280 pot
Final Board: 3 2 8 Q 9
Hero mucked 8 7 and lost (-140 net)
BB mucked and won 280 (140 net)

Villian c/calling flop here makes me think he can have some A highs, possibly some 45, bottom/middle pairs, donk on turn makes no sense to me, Q2/Q3 i would expect to bet bigger because they now have 2p ofc, so it makes me think some random A high, or maybe like random KQ,QJ? River i have now no idea where im at and take the safer option to fold ? should i be calling here readless?

Grinded 3.50s mainly today with a few 1.50s mixed in, started off well in EV, then at the end i won like 10 in a row lol

Couple of hands from today:

Vs fish

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BB: 510 (25.5 bb)
Hero (SB): 490 (24.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 7
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) Q J T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (80) 9 (2 players)
BB bets 40, Hero calls 40

River: (160) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 25, BB calls 25

Results:

Spoiler

210 pot
Final Board: Q J T 9 A
BB mucked 5 9 and lost (-105 net)
Hero showed 8 7 and won 210 (105 net)

I think when he checks river here he never has Kx, but maybe some random Tx/Jx/Ax or air, i bet so small basically to try induce a bluff raise from villian which i wud be snap calling, guess it turned into a lil value bet

Next hand

Vs russian guy

Poker Stars, $3.40 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): 365 (12.2 bb)
SB: 635 (21.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 A
SB raises to 75, Hero calls 45

Flop: (150) J 3 J (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 60, Hero calls 60

Turn: (270) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 150, Hero calls 150

River: (570) J (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 270, Hero calls 80 and is all-in

Results:

Spoiler

730 pot
Final Board: J 3 J 4 J
Hero showed 8 A and won 730 (365 net)
SB showed T 7 and lost (-365 net)

Flatted pre because was only 2nd time he had made it 2.5x pre, looking at that its probably a spewy call down, but he was Russian :f_biggrin:

dont fold that 89 hand otr, you have good odds, ~20% , you will be good more than that.

A8o is a fistpump jam, Id jam also 25bb, esp if its his 2nd time :)

plz explain this? Chips won if totally misleading as the blinds go up and pots get bigger. Luck adjusted graph calclates the $EV which is the stat we are interested in not the CEV which does give false information esp the AIEV which migh go very wrong if you play nash and shove wide which might lead into fcuked up AIEV line. I do understand looking at chips graph when playing mttsng/mtts where hm cannot calc luck adjusted $EV. So you can get a small grasp how you are running, but for hu/stts I think that chip graph is useless

chip graph is most precise graph for hu and $ ev is calculated directly from it just adding rake, but it($ graph) can mislead you if you play multiple stakes, like you are $ under/over/at ev but in fact you could be just running bad/good at higher stake.

But then you can just use the BI graph with Luck adjusted winnings instead?? What takes away the $ amount of runbad/rungood and shows how many BI you are running good or bad no matter the stakes. As it is still the chipgraph is somewhat false due to increasing blinds...

yeah it makes sense to use graph in buy ins but still chip graph cant give false info, also chip graph has nothing to do with increasing blinds 1 chip is 1 chip no matter what blinds are

oh yea tru on HU I give you that. But on STTs other than HU the chip graph is useless. as the AIEV lin can get very fcuked up if you get suckout tons bigstack vs bigstack and then you are able to suckout with small stats shoving few bb. That would create EV line to skyrocket vs rest of the lines..and vica versa if you suckout a lot with bigstack v bigstack.

But yea HU (especially if you filter hypers and turbos to different graphs) does write is correectly as the size of stacks are standard and always the same. Obv still "incorrect" AIEV is possible if you suckout 2bb vs monsterstack or suckout 25bb vs 25bb so the green blue and red do tell how games are going. AIEV is the one i am saying can still be "incorrect" on showing if you are running well or not and. Also afaik the increasing blinds will affect the redline. If you think there is a nit who folds a lot of bigblinds vs you being smaller stack -> your redline will grow but then he suddenly calls you with equal stacks and wins. Your blueline comes down AIEV moves somewhere and redline stays still

Hey,

Not sure about the chip discussion since im new to the HU Hypers, but ill post a graph in BI aswell, looks alot better than $ graph, but around game 400 i shot 3.50s which may be indicated by some run bad in the graph, im not sure:

Also, guessing people will know more than me about this, but i have been looking at sharky, and im not sure what stakes its needed? Maybe 7s upwards im thinking, ive noticed ive been sitting some regs at 3.50s by accident but theyre not the greatest anyways so its not a big problem

But im guessing ill need/want sharky when the time comes for me to shoot at 7s, what you guys think, also is it worth getting even if im only playing 3.50s, just for convenience of the regging, i have a habit of starting a session, then checking my graph/browsing internet in betweeen games, which lowers my volume alot.

Thanks all :)

You don't need Sharky until $30s mate. $7s and $15s are soft enough to do without, once at $30s however all theregs have it which means you can never get a lobby without it.

Get in a habit of not looking at ur graphs during the session it might affect ur gameplay. I have seen ppl do projects of playing for a week or a month not looking at graphs or cashier during the time period.
