pre call is questionable. on this flop minraising is really bad, you are 3way, just too many draws out there.

Hi Erniastukas

Preflop: since BTN is still left to act and we have to call 4 BB vs a short 3-better I'd just muck this here.

Postflop: As played this is a spot where donking would make sense.. As played, and as Tomaloc said, you have to raise bigger on the flop.

Hm, seems I was too exited about seeing trips and played everything too fast, without thinking enough about each action :/

Can you give some general advice when donking makes perfect sense and I should do it? Does it have any "tactical" purpose?

Generally, I tend to skip it if I hit at least TPGK since I don't want to scare away the opponent.

The key in this hand is that you have a fish in the pot and the board is wet and it's a 3-bet pot.

Of course we aren't actually donking here since the PFR is SB but if it was BTN i'd still donk because I'd expect many checks back on a wet board with two people.

So here we'd just bet for value/protection.
