Having alot of trouble at plo10 atm, not skill wise but running good wise. Just seems impossible to run even half as good as in plo 5
I have decided that FDBs and rakeback won't count towards this challenge. So I have withdrew all that and left myself with $105.16.
So I guess I'm going to mix plo5 and plo10 tomorrow.
made another FT today, was 2/6. 1st gets $188.
I get KK in sb, vs this aussie(who was CL) who opens 88 3x on bu and flats my 2.5x 3bet with KK, then flop comes T76. I cbet 12k into 25k he shoves I snap call obviously. Turn is a bloody 8..
And he goes on to win the tournament playing the worst poker I've ever seen ![]()
There ends my streak of 7 consecutive HU when reaching final table, only due to getting sucked out vs 20%-ish equity and vs one of the worst plays I've ever seen. My luck against Australians have always been poor.
On the bright side, still a decent cash ($30, probably $150 under ev lol), and I played very well pre bubble (or rather the others played badly, folding way too much to my opens).
Hopefully bigger things to come in bigger MTTs ♦ Was in fact really mad at the Aussie but I'm looking at the bright side now (at least this isn't SM or some main event)
Also, played a small session in plo5 and plo10 today. +~$12 so all is good plo wise so far. Hopefully I don't move down again this time round (unless I get 2 outered by an idiot again)
You should grind MTTs instead at the rate you make the final tables. ♦
Quick move up from NL10, the rake is insane. GLGL

perhaps raising flop is bad when he has AA so often but pretty sick that we both hit our sets with only 1 out.. just my luck I guess
I think this is standard. Although if a person raises from the big blind, I am more than wary of his actions. I think this is rather inevitable that you will stack off, although I think with the action you take there you can easily fold flop. I know I would try to turn my set into a bluff more often than not on later streets if I assume he has top set here, so I would just call.

Yea perhaps the raise from the BB was a big indication which I didn't take note of.
Can't believe I made FT in the same tournament 2 times in a row. This time I improved by one spot to 5th ($52). Was really hoping for 1st but this time it's much harder.
Got 90th in biggest 3.30, got 2nd for $32 in pokerstrategy asia freeroll today. And currently omw to itm in biggest 5.50. Playing storm later too.
Probably one of the best tourney days I ever had. (But no big money yet)
edit: busted 5.50 in most frustrating fashion. Called a shove from shorty with KK he had AJ he flops J and turns J. Then i cbet/call a shove with nut FD and overcard but miss.
short 200+ hand session. + another BI. Was up 2.5BI at one point, then got into 2 tricky spots which I'm not too sure of and lost 2 stacks.
Just need about 5 more BI to shoot plo25. Hopefully I get there.

So sick ♦ Which also shoots me up to plo25 ♠_grin: after 4276 hands. If I continue to run this good I can finish this within the next 2-3k hands which is pretty damn sick.
