Last hand i opened AQo from MP with 25bb and BTN 3b shoved for 30bb.
Note: Games were super aggro pre. The same villain shoved A2o for 13bb from CO a few rounds before and he sucked out against my AQ
So i made the call since i was way ahead of his range. He showed 55 and i lost the flip. If i hit i would have a top 15 stack.

Standard play. What is the reason for not betting river? Well in this case we see that he can spaz. ♦ But like if he has underpair to the A, he might also check it back and if we bet he will call defo.

Why would you value bet river?
When you value bet , villain has to call with worse hands. If you bet the river what worse hands do you expect to get called by? He has no underpairs that can call such as JJ-KK as he would 5b pre with those. Only hand that MIGHT call is worse Ax such as AT, if he decided to 3bet bluff pre and call the 4b, but thats way too optimistic
The specific villain 3b/5b me with QTs SB vs BTN a few days ago and he is always acting like a monkey. So doing anything else than checking all 3 streets is v bad! Checking the river allows him to bet all his air such KQ, JQ, Missed FD etc.
Also in his eyes our range is mostly underpairs that we can potentially fold by the river, so we give him the illusion of fold equity
So AJo is in our bluff-catching range for sure I hope you understood the thought process and picked something up
Makes perfect sense when you put it down like that. But which part of your range would you put here to be betting the river then?
