Hey godfather2007

At a guess i'd say that Stars probably has the most traffic in micro HU tourneys and then ipoker second. So a room like William Hill or Winner would be suitable

Luke

Hey necro

Imo you want to check out Winner poker . They have a great 250% FDB to begin with and the rakeback/VIP system is 34% for rake of 1500.

Luke

Could mod please move this post too "which poker room is best for you", i couldn't locate the sub forum.

My Games:

Must be both an ipoker skin.

I already have accounts (no First deposit bonus available), at 770 titan and mansion, all tracked to pokerstrategy.

Also i want to save william hill till my roll builds, probably 4-6 months so i can capitalise on the full first deposit bonus.

Game: .10/.20 six max cash, speed.
Hands per month:50k

My questions:

1. Assuming no FDBonus, which room between, titan or 770 or william hill is better rakeback (bonus buying, etc) value for 50k hands/month at .10/.20, .25/.50 ?

2. When rolled better am i correct in assuming that at .25/.50 (with gemstones) william hill would be ultimately the best ?
Is this true without gemstones included ?
(i may not play for a month or 2, hopefully i can play every month).

For gemstones included calculation, please assume the 2014 structure and playing every month, Jan-Dec.

3. At william hill what is the effective rakeback,

3a) With a FDB.

3b) Without a FDB.

Ty and gl grinding

Hey JohnJames97

These are good questions. I've been thinking about this as well as I play similar stakes and on similar rooms.

1.) and 2.) mmm how much rake would that be at 50k hands a month? Looking at rake of $750, $1000, and $1500 poker770 is way behind WH and Titan so we'll just look at these. Have you thought about Winner? I'll put that in here as well just in case you might be interested to see how it stacks up

$750 $1000 $1500

Titan 24% 32% 38%
William Hill 34% (30) 36% (30) 47% (34)
Winner 32% 34% 34%

Based on these figures i'd go with WH but this does take into account the gemstone promo (I put the rakeback before the gemstone promo in parentheses). If you aren't fussed about the gemstone promo then maybe winner is the go. These figures are a little misleading though because they only take into account how much you earn at the highest VIP rating so these figures would be around 75% or so of the above values.

At WH we'll assume you rake $1000 at level 5 in their VIP system which is 25000 WH points and 125000 WH award points.

You get $5 for every 425 points WH points earned so that's around $295 and if you converted the WH award points to cash that's an extra $120 or so. That's around 42%. If on the other hand you converted that to bonus dollars rather than cash you would get $240 instead of $120 (but with this route the bonus dollars stack and there's a time limit on it of 30 days so it would be wise to save this up till after FDB was fully unlocked)

Without the FDB you get around 12% if you get it in cash or around 24% if you get it in bonus dollars

TY very much, very informative about ipoker options.

Probably go to william hill, would seem best.

Are all ipoker skins shared player pool at speed poker ?

Why you suggest "winner poker" ?

TY

NP

They don't have a shared player pool no, but all of our affiliates are in the same (larger)one except mansion I believe.

Yeah WH seems like a wise choice. Winner has a decent VIP system and is comparable to WH. Is definitely worth some thought imo

Hey MartinsCool

What are you looking for in a new poker room? There are tons out there that suit your needs and stakes. I'd recommend either Winner poker or William Hill but would like more info on your goals.

They have good traffic, a nice VIP system (rakeback) and solid first deposit bonuses.

Luke

1. Which game type you play? (No limit? Sit & Go? MTT? PLO, Fixed Limit, Other?)
No limit

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)
I'm gonna start grinding from NL2

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?
Full ring at the beginning and then i'm most likely going to start with shorthanded.

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)
I haven't thought about it that much yet but is it that important for a beginner?

5. How many tables do you want to play?
starting with 1 and gradually increase it to 4

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
Grind, grind and grind=)

Just wondering, where is the game the softest nowadays? I guess Pokerstars isn't that soft compared to the partypoker network. I see that PS dosn't have this deal with PartyPoker anymore. I really liked PartyPoker since the game was so soft there. I play NL4 cash games full ring, and moving to shorthanded gradually, (moving to NL10 pretty soon) and would like to play on the fishiest site that is out there. Thanks!

Hey tommykauz

I haven't thought about it that much yet but is it that important for a beginner?

This just helps to get an idea of how important traffic is to you :)

Do you have any current accounts with any rooms?

Something on the Ipoker network would suit you fine. A room such as Poker770 or Titan have great VIP rewards and rakeback plus the traffic on ipoker is second only to pokerstars. I think you'll enjoy it there.

Luke

Since you don't like the ipoker skins an already have an account at stars you could try one of the microgaming network. 24h is pretty good but from what I remember the might be trouble with getting your HUD to work but perhaps they've fixed this, not sure though. It has a flat 30% rakeback up to around $750 and it's also part of the gemstone promotion.

Hey hvard92

stars would have some stronger players there yeah but because the player pool is so large there will be a large number of fish there also. It might just take a bit of table selecting on your part.

A lot of the rooms share player pools too so the player pools don't differ too much from room to room in a lot of cases. At any rate check out one of the smaller rooms like PKR i'm sure you'll find the amount of fish there to your liking.

Luke

Hello legand73

I really appreciate your recommendation. But i don't like the 3D design. And i don't like the feature that you have to look at your hand to see what suit you have and that it's slow. Is there another great fishy site out there that is more regular?
