Coaching: Fixed Limit [Advanced] with Boomer2k10

The coaching tonight will be a live session with Q&A while I'm playing

If the homegame fires on Saturday I will do that in 2 weeks

In the meantime we'll play the "Best Hand I Fold" game on the forum this week and go over the hands in the coaching next week

"what's with that call with 33 on a flop? a minute ago what were you expecting to happen?"

1) Neither player has to bet the turn so I could get a freebie
2) The guy in the middle there is often weak so there's definitely a non-0 chance I have the best hand
3) The pot is huge and I'm getting 12-1 so with implied I almost have the odds to draw for a set anyway before taking these factors into account (I need to make 5BB on Turn and River and if I bink a set pretty sure I do)
4) I would be folding way too much if I did fold 33 there

3-bet Pots
Dry Boards
Defending vs Aggression

etc

Send me a PM on the forum and I'll ship you the e-mail address you need. Those of you who've participated in the Home Games will already have it

I will go through them and the hands the person who's hands I deem most interesting, or who makes the best claim (PLEEEEEEEEEASE don't count) will get to be a part of the coaching live when I go through them via Skype.

I'm aiming to do this in a couple of weeks so get your hands to me asap

Aim for about 15-20 hands total

Hopefully you haven't moved permanently to Friday (coaching info says that the next one is on 1/11).

Some of us have a calling to get pissed on Fridays

I will probably be running again on Friday this week for a couple of reasons:

1) I've arranged to be out Wednesday

2) The Wednesday time slot cut off anyone in the UK with a job and actually caused a pretty severe downturn in attendance (33% downturn) and it wasn't the most convenient for me and it doesn't seem to be the cleverest thing having an English Coach on when people in the UK can't see it and the main thing we're after is interactivity (Sure you can watch the broadcast back in justin.tv but you'd have missed 60-70% of the reason to be watching last Friday)

3) We have a "prime time" slot open which seems foolish, although Friday is a bit of a graveyard slot sometimes

4) From a 1 hit sample, attendance was back up to the levels of the old stream and justin.tv was way higher. (At one point we had 70 viewers which we've never hit on a Wednesday) but obviously data needs sorting there

But the over-riding shot is that Wednesday 5pm UK time wasn't working out. Attendance dropped, awful for people in UK with jobs, using an open time slot which allows more interaction

Quick update on the coachings

For the next few weeks the coaching will be going out on a Saturday at 19:00 GMT/20:00 CET as I currently am having problems making it on a Friday night, so for those of you wiating for tonight's coaching I'm afraid it's been delayed by 24 hours
