i dont find the keyboard very important. I'm using some random cheapo logitech keyboard.
Honestly up till this day I'm not sure whether my Razer mice failed me, or whether I just use the computer way too much.
8 years ago when I was using Razer Diamondback, it spoiled within 1-1.5 years too.
Average Daily Usage of the mouse: 12-15 hours
That's definitely at least 2-3 times more clicking than the average user.

I was using Razer Copperhead for a long time before I bought DeathAdder. Well I have relatives coming back from China soon and I'm going to order at least one mechanical keyboard: biggest question the "avg/mediocre" ones cost about $65 (pretty much the cheapest price/quality) and we have a high-end one Razer Blackwidow for $125.
Anyway will let you know if there is a big difference with the mechanical keyboard, if your interested
sure
im not sure how important the keyboard is though. I play all sorts of games and I think that a regular keyboard suits my purposes well enough.
I only bought the DeathAdder because of the Ergonomic design - I was experiencing a little discomfort in my wrists and I don't want to get Carpel Tunnel like many progamers. Razer mice also tend to be much more sensitive and I also like the colour of the light emitted from the mouse. But I couldn't care less about all the macro buttons, I was never a fan of complex design.

i did make a video on the topic of range construction though, you could watch that if you want some ideas on how to do that.
I video you are calculating preflop equity we need for call in BB if BTN open raise with 2 BB 1/(1+3.5) = 22%. I don't see this call equity so important for constructing our BB call range because I have at least 98 BB more to lose. Could you play profitably every hand with 22%+ equity in this spot?
it's a guideline. I did mention that you need to have some considerations for postflop playability and equity.
Obviously if the hand ends right away then you are always committed into calling ATC. but some hands have higher/lower equity and playability (defined as the ability of a hand to flop equity)
I did show some examples of equity graphs and distributions which could help you guess how much you should discount your equity. Not all equity can be realized, maybe some % of the time you will get barreled off your hand.
You might want to rewatch it since I don't think you understand the main point of the video (that it's more important to consider REALIZABLE EQUITY as opposed to RAW PREFLOP EQUITY)
Started an AMA thread, feel free to drop any questions you may have, including strategy questions.
I have set up a Paypal Merchant account so you can actually pay via Paypal and you will automatically be re-directed to the download link on my webpage.
Of course if you can only pay via Skrill/Pokerstars Transfer, I'll be more than happy to process the payment manually and e-mail you the books.

i only play 1k and 500 now, with some 200 if 1k isn't running, I don't play 100
Managed to earn 6100 VPPs yesterday and 8200 VPPs today. I slacked off a little on Monday (1000 VPPs) so I probably need to make up for some lost time. Today was pretty easy in my opinion because NL1k was running all day long and I only played 7-7.5 hours today. Typically I would have to play 8.5-9 hours to get the same number of points, because NL1k rarely runs during the afternoon/evening period.
Grinding was also pretty easy today, I watched seasons 1 and 2 of It's Sunny in Philadelphia while grinding. It's a pretty funny Black comedy sitcom about a bunch of friends doing crazy shit to each other.
I'm not exactly playing my best because of this, but I'm willing to accept a lower winrate if it helps me to put in the hours more easily. For the next 50 days, the main goal is just to complete my SNE.

My question was for you. How wide you, as very good player, can profitably call at BB in this spot vs. let's say weak NL25 reg who open raise 20% at BTN?
20% what size? 3X? vs a 3X I'm probably calling all offsuit broadways and some mid connectors like 89s. 20% is pretty tight so I'll not defend any wider than that. Odds aren't even that good.
NL1k has added an insane amount of variance to my game. I earned 7600 VPPs today, in around 8 hours of play.
Played multiple sessions
1 - -$1000
2. -$4000
3. -$200
4. +$4000
I was actually up 8k at one point for my 4th session. Goes to show how much swings there are, especially if the fish pool is smaller. It's great that NL1k seems to be running a lot more these days in the evening, allowing me to accumulate points faster.
I'll try to get another 8k points tomorrow, and then I'll cut my volume down by half during the weekends to get some much needed rest.
Current VPPs: 741 500
Current VPPs earned for Nov: 80 000
VPPs required per day: 5500

new post - most suited for beginners I suppose. I did cover some of it in my first book but I suppose it's good to emphasize the important points. I discuss why we are doing certain things in certain ways, with some math to prove my points. Optimal bet sizes and strategy wasn't created from nothing.
