Comment:

Put him on a draw because of his betsize so i raised but BB called so i just gave up turn, then he shoved 9bb's into that big pot so i called because i had some outs and the odds to call and gave up river.

Hi hvard92

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: You have very low equity on this flop and it's multiway. On top of that you have a big pot already so you should simply fold it. Raising is just spew especially given MP3s stack size.

So you would have just raised and fold to his tiny donkbet and let him bluff cheaply?

Raised flop or preflop?

i would have folded flop and looked for a better spot before putting a raise in.

You don't know he is bluffing and you forgot to realize that you have another guy behind

Flop

I didn't forgot that the pot was 3way. I thought this flop didn't fit his range most of the times so i isoraised and hoping to get shoved by MP since he was lose and short. But you're right, i didn't know he was bluffing. It didn't make sense to me that he bet that small with a pair but they actually do that when i think about it so yea, i should have folded. But these donkbets are really annoying, especially the small ones! But this wasn't a tiltraise. There was a thought behind all of this. What i've learned from this thread is that i should
fold to donkbets if i don't KNOW they are bluffing (unless they give me good odds) and look for better spots to invest my money in. Totally agree with that. Probably fixed a beginning leak right there, thx!

To add to the lesson learned is the fact that your equity matters. Here you have just A high and you can't even beat his small pairs that take this line (and don't fold to a raise).

And remember that vs most fish you want to be betting/raising for value a lot more than doing it as a bluff, especially versus the shorter ones that stack off lighter (with more weak pairs).
