yes, it's just not worth it

Note: tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. This ticket must be used by the buyer to play in the designated event. If you register and then unregister from a target tournament, your ticket will be returned; you will not receive Tournament Dollars (T$).
So answer is: NO
found this on 2+2 (posted it in another topic already but this seems like the perfect place
)
Well, not, we're trying to decide the optimum FPP satellites to play.
Obviously it depends on the individual's goals and needs. I think we can sum it all up as:
5400FPP sat to Sunday Million
- Uses a lot of FPP quickly.
- Expensive and high variance for many micro players.
- Level of play is the highest (still good on week-ends).
- Doesn't run as often as the others.210FPP sat to Sunday $100K
- Level of play is very bad.
- 6 players go through so never short handed.
- Runs quite often.70FPP sat to Sunday $100K
- Level of play is the worst.
- Requires considerable HU/SH play which may be problematic if massively multi-tabling.
- Runs the most often. There are other sats but I think these three are the most commonly used. Others tend to be much higher variance (ie: Sunday Million, 500FPP, 27 players, 1 goes through).
Playing sats vs Buying bonus
- Bonus requires no variation for your cash game play.
- Sats mean you have to play donkaments.
- Sats you don't have to wait to save up FPP and then clear bonus.
- Sats will give better rate of return if you're better than the donkament field, but you're working for it.
- Sats are higher variance.

Any english guys out there on the forum up to Supernova or SNE yet ???
Seems like the promotions once u hit Supernova are fantastic, use of concierge or what not! I think if i was playing stakes that were high enough, from my research i'd definately play on stars for there benefits rather than just sole rakeback somewhere else!

Exactly!
I'm notSupernova yet, but the only question is when...
Playing FL SH @ 2/4 gives you effective rake-back of 37% as Supernova (not so hard to get there after few months). On 3/6 it's about 43% - and higher it is much better
Reaching Supernova Elite offers you more than 60% effective rake-back (depending on limit you play - heard it's up to 80%)
btw: I calculated this amounts on $0.016 per 1 FPP (the max you can get using cash bonuses)
It's killer difference between 0.25/0.5 SH and 0.5/1.0 SH.
At first you get like 1-2VPP/100, the higher limit gives you like 22VPP/100
i think cash is best for nl cashgamers playing sss since you dont need to go win some tours to get money and you have safe money and at same time you would be playing sngs or some tours for fpp you earn new fpp.
Guys searching through 2+2 and google there are some decent blogs out there! What i've found yeah NL SH is the way to go! I'd be keen to actually see how SSS NL would go ! I mean if i had the bankroll I wouldn't be going for SNE just cause at uni etc game not developed enough etc!
But SN looks like an achieveable goal if i was playing sufficient limits! Might see how my bankroll is looking at the end of the Australian Summer (Feb) Might start playing at stars to collect points! Do abit of a blog and experiment on going just supernova I mean the travel benefits alone would be my motivation of supernova! Im pretty sure even if your super nova you get the 2 trips or 1 trip plus 10,000! Definately 2 trips i reckon Monte Carlo & Carib for sure :))) Awesome options (Mcau, WSOP, APPT Sydney)
Anyways guys there is alot of info saying that pokerstars actually dont talk up its vip club and its alot better at supernova levels according to players than is promoted! I can't think of better rewards for playing poker! Hey why the fuck not i mean i know sports better guys down at our local casino im not talking about donk sports betters these guys win shitloads constantly and they bookies agent they use is like betfair etc they get showered in presents and rewards because of the immense amount of commissions beeing generated! So i guess pokerstars have got there shit together the realise that there players are the cash cows and they are treating them accordingly
Even average players breaking even or just above are playing on because of such benefits! yeah its been discussed will more people come to stars to ruin it no if more people come to stars its just more fish to get points faster etc!
Anyways guys all the information is there! I hope that maybe a few of us can do the Supernova challenge in 09` (not not going for sn elite need min 6 hours a day from what i've red at highlevels)
Anyways im only going off information i've red and blogs etc so if anyone can correct this let me know
Anyone explain what T$ and W$ are and what makes them different from normal USD?
Thanks

I won Million Turbo Takedown ticket from sat 8FFP+R ♦
That was funny
but if u unregister from turbo takedown, you will not recieve any T$ or FPP...
was kicked out in 1120 place, recieved 150$ ♦ had AK, guy called my all in with 74o
Total players were 11530, and after the tournament started players could register also...somthing like hell, not a tournament ♦
But in case of a Sunday Million, of course u can unregister and recieve T$...

it depends on amny factors.. it was only 10k last 3 weeks but there were some personal issues. From now, I'm going to play at least 7k hands per week (at least I'll try)..

You need 100,000 VPPs per year to get to SN and then 10,000 per month to stay there so let's calculate with minimum 10,000 VPPs/month even you need "only" 8333 to be exact...
(don't forget you'll be Platinum star every month)
it's complex, so let's start with SNGs (it's easier to calculate):
- your effective rake-back will be $400/month = 20% (if you save all your FPPs to SN and then change them for cash) until you reach SN status; it'll 28% from that point
1+0.2:
- 10,000 VPPs = 10,000 SNGs
3+0.4:
- 10,000 VPPs = 5,000 SNGs
5+0.5 & 6.5:
- 10,000 VPPs = 4,000 SNGs
6.6:
- 10,000 VPPs = 3,333 SNGs
10+1 & 13:
- 10,000 VPPs = 2,000 SNGs
-----------------------------------
NL (i have no idea about rake so can't say how much rakeback will be there):
NL25 FR = 12 VPP/100 = 83,300 hands
NL25 SH = 10-11 VPP/100 = 91,000 - 100,000 hands
NL50 FR = 22-26 VPP/100 = 38,500 - 45,500 hands
NL50 SH = 22 VPP/100 = 45,500 hands
NL100 FR = 32-37VPP/100 = 27,000 - 31,300 hands
NL100 SH = 46 VPP/100 = 21,800 hands
NL200 FR = 46-49 VPP/100 = 20,400 - 21,700 hands
NL200 SH = 53 VPP/100 = 18,900 hands
NL400 FR = 57-67 VPP/100 = 14,900 - 17,500 hands
NL400 SH = 66 VPP/100 = 15,200 hands
NL600 FR = 75 VPP/100 = 13,300 hands
NL600 SH = 71 VPP/100 = 14,100 hands
NL1000 SH = 80 VPP/100 = 12,500 hands
-----------------------------------
OK, to cover everything, here are some FL info:
FL:
0,5/1 FL SH= 20-23 VPP/100 = 43,500 - 50,000 hands
1/2 FL SH = 38-39 VPP/100 = 26,000 hands
2/4 FL SH = 45 VPP/100 = 22,200 hands
3/6 FL SH = 70-80 VPP/100 = 12,500 - 14,300 hands
5/10 FL SH = 110-120 VPP/100 = 8300 - 9100 hands
10/20 FL SH = 140-155 VPP/100 = 6500 - 6900 hands
15/30 FL SH = 166 VPP/100 = 6000 hands
// all these "SNGs" & "hands" are the minimum amounts played per month

You are a god! Thanks for your efforts! Hope your personal issues work out and you can get back to your quest
Do you think the travel option is good at supernova thats my main goal. Would love the idea to get paid to goto 2 tourney's a year
Definately going to continue to build my bank roll currently $203.00
I might study up and start practicing playing sitngoes on stars with some light SSS's Perhaps wait till vacation because ill have to dedicate lots of time reading the sng articles on pokerstrategy!! Im only a novice / intermediate SSS player now
although starting to book bigger profits and smaller losses Im loving poker!.
Yeah looked at a few articles i think once i've made a little more profit sss i might try play sitngoes around december try get gold before the new year then go for plat in january
I've been debating the decision of what to do when i got brored of FR SSS my options were always SNG (10max) or NLSH. I think if i turn out to be a decent sng player this maybe a way to get to supernova with less variance / risk! Depends! I might be enjoying cash games more at the higher level!
Oh yeah don't forget peoples you get FPP' multipliers when you hit gold and plat that help you gain points quicker
So you don't have to bust your balls and get plat in one month get gold first then bust your balls to get plat
