I'm definetly up for this, pitty I don't play $10NL anymore.

Can I use previous stats?

Hi Filintrino!
You are 1 of my TAF friends so of course you can join.
The only thing is that you will have to follow the rules so everybody plays under the same circunstances and only your poker skills will make a diference :)
I hope you still want to join and take this challenge, starting on the 8th of September with all the others.

Best regards,
Tuk

LOL I guess not - I expect at least some profit in 10k hands.

Just a quick reminder to say that the competition will start tomorrow and it will be running for 1 month and during that period you can always join!
Im really looking forward to start posting my development :)

Tuk

If you have the time I would love to receive your feedback either here or you could leave a comment on my blog.

Please note that the competition started yesterday and will be running for 1 month. During that period you can register at any time through my blog as long as you are able to play and present your 10000 hands in the end. Of course, unfortunately, most of you will not be able to participate this time around as you have probably not registered using my referral link from my blog BUT if this concept works out well I might open up for all pokerstrategy members and with other ways of measuring as for example BB/100. With a measurement like that you could continue playing in the level you play today and present your results.

In any case if you like the concept you might want to help me and share this idea with your "non pokerstrategy" friends :)

Thats it for today I hope on my next update to be back on the green light!

Best regards,
Tuk

1 week after - 6045 hands and still on negative profitability: -$7.55
Rake generated $44.87
Pokerstrategypoints - 123 (still missing 1 day update)

My comments:

So far Im not being able to go to green and stay on green. Im also testing a few diferent ways of playing and that might be the reason for this "bad" results... I should have stick to the Short Stack Strategy.
All in all apart from the fact that Ive been able to generate enough party points to join Party Poker promotional 50K tournament next Saturday everything else is being just boring... I might need to continue after the 10000 hands to see if I can present a nice upward trend graph :)

Most profitable hand so far: +$9.06

0.05/0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A♦, A♥
Hero raises to $0.50, UTG+1 raises to $1.50, 8 folds, Hero raises to $3.00, UTG+1 calls $1.50.

Hero checks, UTG+1 checks.

Turn: ($6.15) 5♠ (2 players)
Hero bets $2.50, UTG+1 calls $2.50.

River: ($11.15) 8♦ (2 players)
Hero raises $4.40 (All-In), UTG+1 calls $4.40.

Final Pot: $19.95

Most unprofitable hand so far: -$8,80

0.05/0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BU with 4♠, 4♥
3 folds, MP2 raises to $0.40, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.40, SB raises to $0.80, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.40.

The strategypoints have now been updated - 278 made so far.

Hopefully this would help you to understand the correlation between:

strategypoints: 278
number of hands: 6045
rake generated: $44.87

I should have done this on Titan and take advantage of the current promotion from pokerstrategy where for each $25 you get $10 back... That would take me to a positive bankroll.

Hopefully tonight I will be able to play a few more hands :)
I will keep you updated!

Best regards,
Tuk

Tuktuk if i may say so from your posted hands you play really bad. The only advantage of your play(and not a bad one) is that opponent can hardly put you on hand althought there are some good readings aswell mostly preflop ;) Postflop play you should improve in my opinion.

Hi slikec,

I like the fact that you have gave your input as it is - uprightness thats how I call it!
Its true that right now I am a lousy player and even after reading the pokerstrategy articles a few times when I get in front of the screen I loose any kind of strategy rational behind my actions... I just want to play and play as much as I can... so I end up making (a lot of!) mistakes... I probably dont have the profile to be a good poker player as I could see myself playing for example 1 table at the same time. And if I do that I would probably be wacthing tv and talking to someone else on the phone at the same time...

How can I improve that?
