I wouldn't usually call this preflop.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG+1: $33.65
MP1: $49.50
MP2: $14.40
CO: $16.85
BTN: $8.50
SB: $6.50
Kruppe (BB): $50
UTG: $50.75

Pre-Flop: Q♦ T♦ dealt to Kruppe (BB)
5 folds, BTN raises to $2, SB folds, Kruppe calls $1.50

Flop: ($4.25) T♣ 7♥ J♠ (2 Players)
Kruppe checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($4.25) T♣ 7♥ J♠ [ 9♦ ] (2 Players)
Kruppe bets $3, BTN raises to $6.50 and is All-In, Kruppe calls $3.50

River: ($17.25) T♣ 7♥ J♠ 9♦ [ 4♦ ] (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Why call this PF?

Why not check the turn since you obviously have some equity in the hand and are also unlikely to get action from worse hands if you lead out.

- pf

fold because it is full-ring.
If he is retardo you can push depending on his pfr stats and folding
frequencies. If he would call K7o no push ;)

- flop

i like c/r vs medium af donks because they feel committed with ace high
c/c vs maniacs who are a little deeper.
donk vs super passive bad station

with a HuD you can see his contibet stats.

If he checked behind

- Turnplay

potcontrol >>> betting turn
check call is fine and would be my plan for the river.

Rule: if Showdownvalue + draw ---> checking >>> bet

And is it worth calling pf even in SH? he's shortstack...

In this case not because you have no room to play, but there are spot if he has a bigger stack like 25-30 bb
and has obvious betting patterns and the right stats and ranges.

This was to answer possible questions.

Good luck
