How many hours would you guess an average regular at NL100-200 spends a day playing and how many hours studying. And how many hours day you usually spend a day on poker?

hello Dude ![]()
-what do you think the highest limit that every one (average guys) can beat it with the right hard work and dedication, and when the talent or gifted mind ..start to affect beating the game?? (like ofc any one can beat nl5 and only gifted mind guys can be the top 10 players in the world)
-how do you see yourself, why do you think you can now play at N1k :gifted mind guy or hard worker ?
-between which limits you struggled the most ,when you were moving up ??
( PS:questions from Nl25 learner/grinder
)

NL100-200 has a good mix of serious hobbyists (like college students) and full-time professionals. They probably play around 3-5 hours on average daily if I had to guess. I don't think they would study too much because if they did put in a lot of effort they would probably be playing higher.
Right now I'm averaging 6h a day until the end of the year to get my SNE, I still have around 240 hours to go in 41 days.

Hmm I have averaged approximately 100 hours a month, and I started playing a lot since Jan 2009. Total time played is approximately 5k+ hours. Coaching and studying is probably another 500-1000hours, I'm not exactly sure about the numbers but i don't study/analyze all that much.

What do you think about PedroKL? He also plays nl500 zoom.
Nothing special about him, I remember seeing his name before but nothing comes to mind

What's your approach on set mining
I only do it vs tight ranges (3% range), if not I'm prepared to bluff catch one or two streets on low boards with low pocket pairs

-With the right amount of effort, the average guy should be able to beat NL25-50. I define average guy as IQ 100 (IMO the average guy is not very intelligent). also, someone with average intelligence is not going to be able to figure out what he needs to work on without external guidance.
If you are talking about the average guy who has a college education, then maybe he should be able to beat NL100 with enough effort
-I think both are required for sure. Someone who is really stupid will never make it past NL25, no genius can get to NL1k without any hard work. I think I'm smart and although people generally know me as a lazy person (when it comes to school), I do put in a lot of effort and energy into things which I am passionate about (poker and gaming).
-Beating NL1k and 500 and 400. I basically tend to move up and take very aggressive shots at higher limits because I am a little reckless/impatient.
I have never moved down at any limit NL100 or below. I did drop from NL200 to NL100 and NL400 to NL200 once or twice during some downswings in 2011/2010.
I define average guy as IQ 100 (IMO the average guy is not very intelligent)
Do you know any real online IQ test i can count on? Not one of those "homemade" tests.
What's your IQ btw :)?

Well i mean not exactly fit or fold set mining but flatting with pocket pairs MP vs EP, BTN vs EP, BTN vs MP etc. I play FR. What would you do e.g with 22-66 on BTN vs MP against semi-decent reg on NL100-200, thanks

well i nv fold low pocket pairs for 100bbs as long as amount to call is 5% or less of entire stack (call20 rule)

If you have to give only one advice to a microstakes player, what would it be?
get a coach ASAP, and make sure he has solid fundamentals - you don't want to be learning the wrong stuff
In defending from sb or bb vs a btn steal we could go something like btn opens 2bb risking 2bb to win 1.5bb so sb and bb together need to defend 43% if only defending by 3betting is this right?
Is there a good way to approximate BTN's EV when we just call or what % we should be defending when as BB we play a mix of calling and 3betting? Is this something that's gotta be worked out by feel rather than maths or is it possible to have a rough approximation?
calling is worse than 3betting. If you 3bet, BU has to fold (we are talking about him opening the bottom end of his range so he should always fold to a 3bet) and the hand ends right away.
if you call, even if he plays extremely passive with his worst hands, he can still improve some small % of the time. Thus, you would need to defend even more when you use a passive defense strategy to compensate for this.
it's a little difficult to approximate it
