Hey guys,

little bit frustrated right now about 60s+...last 200 games lost almost 4k (50BIs), straight down, cant do notin, losin such a funny 2outs, bubbles, w/e. It is sold action, so it dont actually cost me, but it feels the same...hopefully can climb up, it is def beatable...anyway at 15-30s am up 4k this month preRB = why oh why such a huge difference right? sick sick sick...am gonna post separate graphs at the edn, u ll see, LOL

Dunno how exactly u mean it but this should be pretty standard...as I do have 100BI swings at 30s and I believe I am the winner there and significant one...:) So when u lower the ROI, add some skill to your competition...there u go...and more laic - eve if u were losin player, u might not lose 50BIs straight line down, u might be lucky sometimes

hi milan....i know this is not a q&a thread, but i thought you might be kind to answer me some more questions:

1. as i told you before, i would like to start grinding Stt on stars, from the lowest buyin( 1,5 ko i think i will start with those)....beside articles on pokerstrategy( the ones from sit n go section and ones from psichology), can you recomand me other things to learn from? maybe a book or two, that you think might help me learn sit n go better?

2. i told you i want to grind stt's, but in the weekends when i have time i would also wanna play some 45-90-180 man sng....do you think it would be ok to combine stt's with other time of sng? or should i concentrate on playing only and only stt's?
i mean the strategy i learn from.articles and books could help me play good in any format of sng's?

3. can you give me some advices for grinding stt's? or any kind of sit and go's? i mean like how could i learn better, advance faster, how to succesfully grow to be a regular and so on?

4. i saw that you play on the 30s and 60s limit, and you deal with 50bi downswings, which for me seems crazy....i have to ask: when you have like 50bi downs, how long it takes usually to come back from that down, recuperate those buyins and start being on profit?(in number of games or time i mean)...

5. if you are a regular at 30s, what's the average profit you do on 1 month? i know you have swings, but i mean you still come in profit after all, so you got to have an average month profit...

6. what's a normal grinding day for you? how many hours you play? what about studying your game? how do you keep yourself concentrated and with good psihic and mentaly strong when you have crazy swings?

if you think the last questions are too personal, i apologise for that....but i would really apreciate if you would answer me, cause i really want to become a regular at sit and go's, and guys like you who sre regulars, motivate me a lot...

thanks!

1) anytin about poker that makes u think about poker :) I read only Collins book about SnGs and Harrington on Holdem, so I cant help with books. Hand forums, find someone of your skills, make skype group.

2) stick to one format

3) i always say everyone is different, key is to find out that u really like the game and wanna improve, grind - just dont be lazy, give it a shot and u ll see

4) I had many 80-100BIs swings at 9mans only in my career, u shouldnt expect it at micros tho. Anyway sometimes u can drop 100BIs in 200 games and thn climb up in like next 500 games...sometimes it s longer, sometimes u r BE for few thousands game and thn have sick few session +++...so many scenarios...

5) at 30s I make 2$+ preRB per one game

6) am not typical grinder, i have family, I work when I have time. Usually play about 3hrs session, about 15tabling+...I listen to some music, I make good coffeee before the sess, prepare water, some banana or chocolate bar or w/e and grind. I dont tilt or anytin, lately I have no problems with swings = healthy BRM and confidence. I dont exercise or so, even tho I should, but dont have time, I eat healthy I guess but not on purpose :) Notin special...COncentration - my work station is in the kitchen of 1+1 apartement with my daughter running around, my wife baking a bread, wasching machine on sometimes...LOL...u get use to anytin if u want ;)

U know I think that would help u? Just do it, just play, study a lot and all the things will come up...u dont and u cant have it figured out all before u even become regular :) It comes with it, gogogog and GL

you have 2$/game in average, after all the swings and stuff?
at the 30s, this means like almost 7% roi....and if you also add the rakeback, you have a very impressive roi for that limit:o

one more thing man...if you beat the 30s with more than 7% roi, why wouldn't you go pro? and grind those for a living? you mentioned you do easily 15 tabling, so volume would be big, you could do a lot of money...

i guess you have a very good payd job if you dont let it down in those conditions:d

Lol u made me laugh. Didnt excpect that tbh.
How do u manage to stay focused on grinding?

Since i have a daughter (nearly 11 month old now) its hard for me to get going and try to get a routine in grinding. We moved into a house with 2 bedooms and i had to buy myself a laptop to even manage to keep playing. Now i have to Play in our diningroom which is included in our livingroom, but even then ist nearly unpossible to concentrate, cause i allways have to worry about our daughter waking up. Beside that, we have got 2 stupid cats who are allways making silly things. i even thinking about moving into the bedroom of my daughter while she is still sleeping in our bedroom at night.

Keep up the good work, allways nice to read ur blogposts.

Hehe, well, as u prolly noticed, when u have a child, routine is the word u ll never use again
It is both great to be with your child every important moment, but also hard. Solution might be - rent workin space somewhere apart of the house, act like it is "regular" job - drastic, maybe someone would like it. Or what helped me was to realize that money is only instrument, I can (blessed) make almost always enough money to cover the basics...IF we neeed money i know I can put extra hours and few things will step aside - like family trip, babysittin, sleeping...it was hard from beginin, i was very tired, no routine, notin, i played only few hours, luckily had solid winrate, but u know, u win not much extra...when your child is a bit older and u dont get another one or few more cats/dogs, it ll get easier - not much, but there are habbits like regular sleep that your child has :) and thn there can be kindergardens and stuf...
My kitchen space...I always remember on what setup i grinded my first supernova, how my neck was stuck, headaches...i had literally stoned ass from sittin on that stupid kitchen chair... But it s makin me laugh now, it s progress, it s fun...now am lookin forward to move in march or so and will see about new work space...
One thing is for sure...cant play when there s any chance your child will need u or sometin - stress, cant play and talk simultaneously - no brain can do that (maybe women s, but...)... Buy big headphones...but loud music is also not great, but it makes it easier...and learn to distance from surroundings...somehow...:)

GL and thx

well I am playin 60-100s but there s no reason for me to play too reggy games = 8regs - if I had some SNE goals, ok, but I dont. I try to select games with 3 randoms and I see value there, but that s such a small number of games...BUT am stickin to it...unfortunately this way I wont ever have sample or so there.

Hello guys!

November has ended for me, takin last day off, it was absolutely great month for me in many ways.
Before the month started I knew I had to put solid volume to not fall too much behind the pace for 200k VPPs milestone this year. To help myself more motivated I set up propbet with few friends and that helped a lot coz last days I wasnt much in to playin, but still I did :) I think am gonna try more of these next months, not December coz there is obvious goal to hit milestone, am not lettin 2,6k bonus there just coz I ll be lazy lol.
I also sold my action at 60s+ because of scary memories from last year when I had ugly downer and felt stressed and so on. It was different, my ABI was much highe,r was mixin formats, but still...I sold it and felt free. Unfortunately ran bad again at 60s+ but wat u gonna do, it dont hurt me money wise, coz I didnt lose any, but for my backer and coz I know it s such a small sample again but it sux to not flip just right :)
I played almost every day, two 3hrs+ sessions, wasnt crazy with tabling, mostly as usual about 14-16 tables, how I like it the best. In December I will need to add some, RB bitch :)
As I mentioned earlier, it s very interesting how can u be trained - sessions feel shorter, u dont need to sleep that much, u just play, feels great. Need to not to be lazy first months of 2014 and build up some solid routine, I mean not to take like 4 days off thn grind 5 days and so on...

I played most games this year, most hours, had best profit after RB, best BoP month - 1220$ and 4 tickets to freeroll. I also invested most on stakings and horses run mostly great. And I had to say NO to coachings - wow :) I didnt study much, I miss it, January will be awesome :)

First graph, 15-30s only, kinda sick:

Total:

NUMBERS:
games: 2442
ABI: 32,3$
hours: 132,9
profit from games: 2977$
BoP: 1220$
FPP value: 1756$
Stellar: 815$
propbet: 400$
sodl action at 60s+: 2442$

TOTAL: 9610$ _evil:
total hourly (not countin propbet in coz it took me few hours to load numbers, dont ask, so ):
69,3$ _evil:

ALMOST 10k month and that s sometin I didnt expect at all...totally epic month, opened so many new posibilities to me...addin these stakings am actually nicely over 10k...woohoooo gonna be nice Christmass.

GL to all of you, push yourself, dont be lazy, it really pays off sometimes, big time!!!

P.S.: About same volume needed in December for 200k VPPs.
