Should be more like "if we jam river, villain can hero call", right? Would not call it hero fold to lay down hand that is pure bluff catcher. Anyway real question is how often villain call this bet and how often he would call more polarized looking bet? E.g. if he calls this size 40% of time and shove 15% of time then shove would show more profit. But how much our sizing affects his calling frequency is hard to guess. Might be that he wants to call this to not be exploited by small bluff bet attempts, if your line is balanced.

Yeah, most likely it's semantics. Agreed though, it's not really a hero fold, but just a standard fold, when I shove. I don't really think villain should have a ch/c range on the river that he wants to call vs a jam. He shoves a str8 & flush for value and checks the rest hoping to check it down.

Don't know about frequencies here. BU was a big fish in this game so I think SB has better ev by folding to most river bet sizes. By jamming riv I may just be getting called by weirdly played AT/same hand as me, and miss all the value vs his weaker range.

In terms of his not wanting to be expolited, I don't think I have a bluffing range OTR (or not a big enough one that I need to balance). I can't think of many hands, at least.

I've hardly played any PLO since the stress and pain of my frozen shoulder caused a breakdown in May or so... But with the need for VPPs, I decided to take my dirty mistress out for a few dates. Will hopefully rub shoulders with Jake Cody, Alex 'Kanu7' and Liv Boeree. Although, let's face it, rubbing Liv's shoulders is kinda unlikely in the grand scheme of things ♦

1) how is an average rent for an appartment with a bedroom and a living room?

2) how much the food costs if you live alone but you know to cook?

3) how much do you think i will spent on average if i live alone there? rent gas electricity internet etc

I know all cities are different but i would like to give me an estimation. Not in London because i know it is expensive

2). well, im sure you can live on pasta and sauce for £20/a week. but I'd budget on £50 for a bit of variety, fruit, some meat and not feeling like a pauper.

3.) can't imagine your "bills" will be much less than £225-300 (TV/Elec/Gas/council tax/mobile).

November went really well on all counts. It's the first month for a long time when I have been able to put in some serious hours, even though less playing hours than I had planned on. I ran very well indeed (well, you can see that goes without saying!), did a ton of coaching, and managed to get my stakees moving in the right direction again.

Had some good news about Las Vegas. Some pretty unsatisfactory news about my shoulder (long story short: the consultant confirms I have a very severe frozen shoulder but isn't making an out and out recommendation for surgery since there's no certainty that it will restore full range of movement - only a 75% chance of restoring 75% mobility, which sounds to me barely better than a flip - ); and last, but not least, we are getting a rescue cat tomorrow, called Olive. I've been fighting a losing battle against getting any pets since I met Mrs Tim64. Her agreeing to let me go to Las Vegas in 2014 basically hands her the keys to the kingdom.

December will be grind time again and given how well I ran in November, I'll be quite happy if I can just breakeven while ensuring supernova for next year.

Hi Tim, spent quite few hours reading your blog today, but did run out of steam and had to scan forward. A hell of a journey so far

I think that I have it right, that you are still working towards SN ? If so is it normal for you to be short of this target, have you struggled with volume in this year particularly? Do you normally achieve this? ( As I said I have read your start of journey more than your current standing)

How do you feel the future might be with more and more players flooding the 6 max sng's and therefore being even more reg infested.

Will follow from this point, and GL to you.

Well done for persevering! Not normal for me to be this short; health troubles got in the way of more consistent volume. I was SN last year for the first year (so, not "normal" exactly) but I normally mix sites so I have a relatively low rakeback status on all sites.

The future is tough, no doubt about it. The key is game selection and/or volume. I suppose evenutally it make get to the point where I can't make a good living playing SnGs. If so, I'll switch to another form of poker. I think there will always be a living for those willing to work hard (subject to UK legislation )

Weird. I didn't even play there in November. Maybe I should not play on Stars and see what happens ♦
