Semi-grinding NL100, so playing like 30-40k hands/month and would try out NL200 Rush if it ran but runs very rarely, almost never more than 10 players. I might mix in some normal NL200 tabs just to test it out but no run towards high stakes.

1. Why Play Poker
As JB puts it in our book, poker is the king of games. It’s extremely complex and the more you know, the more you find out you don’t know. I’ve said ‘It depends!’ so often that some will think I have no idea what I’m doing but that is the hard truth: IT DOES DEPEND!
Complexity aside, poker is a fun game. Competition and money both add up for great fun for me personally. Some also like the pure thrill of uncertainty, of the luck factor. You can challenge the best in the world and you can still win without cheating. Try doing that against Usain Bolt in a 100m sprint!
Last but most definitely not least, poker develops skills necessary in non-poker environments as well. If for JB poker is the king of games, I consider it the ultimate teacher. Poker gave me a very different perspective on life and on what truly matters. If you are just starting out, maybe it will have this enlightening effect on you too. 2. Poker Player Lifestyle
Hookers and blow! Or at least that’s what you hear in the news! ♦ In reality, it’s a grind and if you want to be serious about poker you should stop watching all those TV shows that only present you the action parts. As in most cases, what you see on TV and in movies is not the same as in reality… I know, seems unlikely, who would present a manufactured reality.. I was just as surprised with porn and it turns out it’s true for poker as well.
Poker allows for flexibility and freedom but if you are lazy you still fail. You have to put in the hours of play, study and analysis before you can triple check/raise your opponents left and right. Yes, sick parties and bets happen but they are after intense, hard work! Aside from that, the sick parties are just a small part. If you are a smart poker player, you will see the bigger picture 
3. PokerStrategy community
Since I signed up, I considered it the best poker community out there. Maybe it didn’t always have the best videos, coachings, coaches for everything, but definitely the most involved team! Shout out to Ingrid for being the best community manager ever and to Patrick for building a great educational team in the English community!
4. How To Succeed At Poker
Work! It’s not just about strategy, it’s about mental game, it’s about reflecting and becoming the best version of youtself. If you do that, you also become the best poker player you can be. My current recommendation for best mindset book is a non-poker oriented book called Emotions Revealed by Paul Ekman.
Having said all that, it’s time I let others grind and teach the game. Poker helped me achieve what I wanted and then some. I met some very smart, capable and ambitious people, I moved out of Romania ( ♦ ), to marvelous Vienna no less. I also made some money on the side of all that and wrote this poker book together with JB and TT. It’s pretty good, I think you should check it out!
I moved to Vienna to be involved in some projects with TT which now got to a point that require all my attention. I won’t close this blog. Instead I will continue it as an AMaA. I will try my best to answer everything, whether it’s about poker, mindset, life or whatever else you have in mind.

ok i got a question for u... how easy/hard was it to move from romania to vienna? and get accustomed to ur new situation? im guessin havin a friend there already helped alot... anyway i know austria is a much more organized country to live in than romania and the quality of life there is alot higher... dunno if u wrote anything previously about it but i think that whole transition is an interesting topic for many ppl...

It was easy for me since I am in an English speaking environment and most people in Vienna know enough English. I didn't have to adjust too much, I lived by myself for a couple of years already in Romania, I spoke English regularly, the city is not huge plus Google Maps FTW!

I'm not informed enough to compare all the atheletes. I do know a few of the Jamaican sprinters where found using illegal substances but I would bet on super clean Bolt beating any poker player in a sprint 100m. Could be that he uses some funny stuff.. Or at least used when breaking record after record..
