I play hu hypers, so I experience 20-40 bi daily swings a day I very often am down 20 bi and come back and end + 20 bi in a day, you just gotta ride it out and keep playing well.

On a sidenote, your ev is looking rather low and there is deff lots of room for improvement, so instead of focusing on money at the moment, you should focus on getting better.

I've pld hu cash 100-600 with 30 bb 100 w/r bum hunting mostly. And these swings r normal you are experiencing, could easily be down to bad card distribution or maybe not playing well enough, either way just focus on studying and things will start turning around. The higher your winrate is the less the swings will be

Actually stoploss is a cure against these daily swings if they bother you. I made myself stoploss at $400-500 depending on my mood and i obey it (i allso play NL 100), so i never get angry or tilted too much, but just quit for the day - which leaves me playing better on averge i think, bcs i dont play tilted or frustrated. And another sweet thing abt it: you win more on your best days than loose on your worst days, which feels good :f_p:.
The downside is afcourse not playing enaugh hours/day if u set stoploss too low (if i exagerate: seting 0.5 BI stoploss can mean stop playing after 10 hands abt 3/4 days of the month). So you have to set it to some balanced amount considering ur level of frustration and avg frequency of hitting that daily downswing.

You are right about it makes the swings easier to handle, but I believe when you are going past nl100 it is time to take it to the next level. You need to be able to handle swings and keep playing well even if you are down. Why in the name of god would you quit a fish because you are down 4 buy ins to him? When you play a fish, you know you are making money against this player, so you might swell just keep playing well and grind him down.

Yes, it's true you win more than you lose, but you also have a lot less winning days because you now cant lose 4 bi and make a comeback to winning. My regular grind day could b me starting off being down 15-30 bi like its absolutely nothing losing 2-3 k and then keep on grinding and b up 2-3k for the day.

Also setting a stop loss in hu after 4-5 bi is extremely funny and very bad advise in my opinion, unless this person has very serious mindset issues and will stop playing well instantly and just spew of money, but even if that is the case, to this person I still advise to keep playing with 15 bi stop loss because it will force you to get used to it and improve.

But now if i was speaking to the fish v pro in this scenario I would tell the fish to stop loss and 4-5 bi because to the fishes perspective it is very good advise to tell them to stop sitting a pro with a 4-5 bi stop loss.

Piercing.
I've decided to get rid of my tongue piercings.

For those of you who don't know, I used to have a piercing under my lip but I took it off over a year ago. And I used to have two tongue piercings. And now I've decided it's time to say goodbye to them.

I can't say what is the reason - the fact I lost a tiny piece of my tooth or that I'm just getting old... But it was damn hard to make this decision.

I've got a feeling that I'm missing something, that I've lost a part of myself, a part of my individuality.

I've had those piercings for almost 10 years.

And so far I need to remind myself all the time that those piercings didn't have any influence on my personality and they were not a part of it.

I am me, with or without some iron thingies. Besides I still have some steel, if you know what I mean.

A little bit about jealousy.

I've always thought that jealousy is a very bad feeling which doesn't bring anything good to someone who feels it.

Some time after I started playing poker, I found myself jealous of a tone of people. It was an unpleasant surprise for me to feel that way, but then after some thinking I figured that it was all because I wasn't happy with myself. I understood those successful people were just like me, but they realized their potential while I didn't and it drove me crazy.

After I figured out that it was all from within, I almost completely let go of that nasty jealousy feeling (which was pretty hard to do), and instead I got an annoyance. It annoys me a lot when someone whines that everything goes bad at his/her tables and then he/she posts a great graph.

I know this feeling, I can pull my hear out because of one crappy hand even if everything else is fine, but I would rather keep it all to myself.

This year I'm going to concentrate mainly on self-improvement.

For starters, I'm getting ready to start a new meal plan. Farewell, McDonald's!
