.
Hello Schnitzelfisch.
I would like to ask for some advice or relative material you already have posted about moving up in limits and not being afraid of money. This may sound silly, but every time my bankroll is over 600-700 euros, i cashout most of it because these are like a month's salary in my country. By doing so, i can't move up to mid stakes SNGs and eventually i end up grinding the microstakes until i reach that figure again and again.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi Erevos, Erik Stenqvist would be better to answer that question as it's most likely related to a fear of yours :).
Great thread,
Couldn't stop reading and just realized that its almost 3AM..
Will be following..
Hello, OP, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
A small remark - the first task contains 'what do you value most in other people?' yet you continue to talk about yourself.... "I... I... I... " It seems you are still too self-centered, probably egoistic and little conceited as well. It may eventually drag away some of the people you want to help. Nevertheless, you do want to help, so please don't take this remark personally.
Maybe its kinda buddhistic, but you must erase 'want to be' and 'I' from the phrase "i want to be happy" to really obtain the happiness.
And, on the brighter side - here's the link to an awesome psychological video which can help every single one to actually be happy. Like Don Juan said, “The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.”. And this video really shows what Castaneda's teacher(?) meant and gives some quite simple advices for everyone to become a better person. http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/en/shawn_achor_the_happy_secret_to_better_work.html And it is hillarious, too.
Best wishes.
Hey Primoz, how are u doing?
Just read the above post about you and Naveen. Again very inspiring! I can recall attending a college myself about time management and had to make a timetracking schedule. Ofcourse it had many 'gaps' where i was procastinating of some sort and was asking the guys giving the lessons. "How do i fix this" their response was: "we don't know, but now you know where you lose time" And i'm like WTF i already knew that, i came here to fix just that! So that was a very 'good' lesson. ![]()
But main reason for me posting here, i'm currently updating my laptop with all sorts of google extensions to increase my productivity. Do you have any suggestions that you use? Or for my phone(android)?
Will read your updated post in the near future!
Thx!

Hi Varune,
a couple of things:
- Google Drive and Google Calendar on my phone is a MUST. It allows me to access work files from anywhere, even when I don't have my computer with me.
- Skype on the phone for calls works pretty nice
- Sleep as Android works great for waking me up in the mornings (I love the captcha option)
- Stayfocusd extension for google chrome to limit time-wasting websites
- Evernote on the phone to take notes of pretty much everything
- Twilight (phone) and f.lux (PC) to dim my display overnight and make it easier to fall asleep
- Kindle (phone) - reading all of my favorite books from anywhere, even when I don't have my kindle with me
- Duolingo (phone) - learning languages while waiting for lunch to cook itself/on the toilet
- Take a break! (phone) / calm.com (PC): some cool free guided meditations
- Keyrocket (google chrome) - gmail shortcuts
- Instapaper (google chrome) - saving blogs for later reading, also the Instapaper phone app to actually read them
- VLC (phone) - great for watching videos and listening to audiobooks
I think that's the majority of them, and then there's a couple of secret ones that I'll share through my content in the future... :).
Ah thx, that's quite a list. Already checked out quite a few.
Tried to reconnect my old gmail account, but had no idea what my password was. So will try out later to get the functionality of the google calendar. Or does it also work with hotmail nowadays?
No idea about hotmail, but gmail works very well for me regarding productivity as you can use a ton of great extensions with it to make your life easier. I would definitely look into either recovering your password or making a new account :).

I'm still amazed at how much of a difference using these simple materials makes.
Hi guys!
I'm happy to announce that the Skyrocket Your Productivity Video Workshop is available!

In this video workshop, I share with you some new concepts that I've developed over the last couple of years. This video workshop will help you get even more out of the Quick Guide to Skyrocketing Your Poker and Life Productivity.
It includes:
- A 129-minute video of the SYP Workshop (Designing your own systems, System examples, 30-minute Q & A)
- A video of the extra 60-minute Q & A session
- The System Design Worksheet
- 48 System Templates and Guidelines
- Workshop Presentation Handouts
I haven't really shared these concepts in public before, although I did test them out myself, as well as with my 1on1 coaching clients.
This is also a workshop that you can get regardless of the stakes that you're playing right now, although of course the higher stakes players will probably see even bigger financial value in it.

Hi guys!
It's been a while since I've finished this guide, and since December I've been working on something similar to it, with a different perspective.
Instead of going wide into a subject such as productivity, I went deep into the subject of motivation and wrote something that I believe is the most complete guide to motivation in both poker and life.
With over 20 chapters and more than 11.000 words, it's also the most extensive guide I've written after this guide.
This guide will only be available here on the pokerstrategy forums, because I want to give back to the community that has given me so much over the last few years.
So, without further ado, I present to you:
Enjoy!

Great post!
I had already been doing some of the things you are suggesting and picked up quite a few from this post. Thanks a lot.
One question though, you say "It is cruical that you write down the tasks on the A4 sheets of paper and not on a list in your computer or something similar!!!". I don't really agree with this one. I have nicely organised lists for different daily tasks, for emails, for work related tasks, etc on my computer synchronised with my smartphone. I even have alarms set up for those that need it. So why is writing on a paper better?
Cheers,
Vahan.
This is just for the brainstorming/processing. It's easier to process the papers 1 by 1 during the processing stage (and less intimidating, so more likely that you will actually do it).
The actual lists can of course be on the computer/smartphone.
