D&B Books have more than 30 titles from players like TwiceT, EmanuelC16, Jonathan Little, Barry Tanenbaum, Rolf Slotbloom and Phil Shaw.

They have very kindly donated ten books for our readers to be won. All you have to do is reply in this thread with the number one poker lesson you have learned from a book and we will pick ten at random. The winners will then be emailed and given the choice of one of 16 ebooks from the D&B catalogue. Check out the D&B store for the full listing - any of the titles with 'ebook' written above the cover is eligible for this contest.

The last day to be eligable to win is December 17, so make sure you post by that date.

Please note that these titles are only available in English.

The number one poker lesson I learned from a book was how to use overbets against tight ranges from Tri 'Slowhabit' Nguyen.

I don't recall ipsissima verba, but the advice Negreanu reported his mother to have given him when he first went to try and crack Vegas is priceless -

" Now Daniel, just don't you go and do anything stupid".

Don't squeeze with JJ unless you are ready to go AI preflop from Ryan Fee's 6 max.

Back in 2008 when I was still a huge passive fish I've learned from Super System the importance of aggression and it was enough back then to stop me from losing.

Ofc since then I've read many more up to date books and learned more advanced concepts, but if not Super System I prob would've quit long time ago so to me it was the most important lesson.

Damn, feeling like some old man talking about 2008 like it was decades ago :f_biggrin:
