Hello,

I've just started to look at English community.

Spoiler

sorry for English =s

This blog is mainly for record that will be my first challenge:
:diamond:Play at least 21 STT turbo $1.5 /day (reach Gold status at Pokerstartegy)
:diamond:Study more!
:heart:Hit 750 sng's

I'll be very glad if I do the last topic above, but I'll try to study more instead of playing more.

I started with a BR of about $90, and with this 'challenge' is more about me. Focus on playing one variant and study to improve.

I stated to playing at end of 2009 with free $50 initial BR and until 2011 I played different variants and did I cash out of about $400 :f_o: LoL
(including FT and PS cash).

After that I played more for fun and now I want to grow a BR and really more limits up.

I'm studying abroad so I don't have a lot of time to play and study to improve. This is why the idea of blog, because I can study and play and show results, so I can't cheat myself.
From December to early January I'll not play, so this is basic a challenge for this month. So, next year I put something more.

I started to play two days before November, but I will put graphs from November only.

Until now, I've watched videos and read some articles but I think that I'm not thinking enough and adjusting while playing ;(

By the way, I would like to reach 15% ROI, but I'm not sure if that is possible with my volume.

I'm playing 4-5 tables (but I think with 5 I get most worst results).

Well, not going very well...
I'm watching videos and reading some posted hands, BUT not reviewing my own game using sngwiz and/or holdemresources to look at the correct nash ranges.
I'm focusing and play at least 21 sng per day, so there's no more time to review, but I know I should do it rather than playing... ;(

I'd like to post a very frustrating hand... X(
SB was SITING OUT
BU was playing well, I think he would call tighter than nash here
Unfortunately, BB was a very weak player.

I found nash here to be 11.9%, 66+ A7s+ ATo+ KTs+ KQo QJs
How much tighter should I be here?

No Limit Holdem Tournament

BTN (4,393) 7bb
SB (1,038) 2bb (SIT OUT)
BB (5,858) 10bb

Blinds: 300/600 Ante 50

Pre-Flop: (1,100, 4 players) HERO is CO 9♥ 9♦
HERO goes all-in 2,161, 2 folds, BB calls 1,561

Flop: 6♣ A♥ 6♦ (4,822, 2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: 7♣ (4,822, 2 players, 1 all-in)

River: Q♦ (4,822, 2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: 4,822
BB shows three of a kind, Sixes
K♥ 6♥

Here is the graph until now

Spoiler

:diamond:Good point:
I found out that I was playing very wrong with antes. Pushing too tight.

:spade:Bad point:
I'm still calling loose some spots, and not calling loose enough other ones.

During the session I keep marking hands that I pushed and I was not convinced and hands that I fold but might be push.
So I'll look this hands at sngwiz and check the nash ranges.
Also have some hand of post flop playing and will put it at hand evaluation forum.

yeah...really sucks going like that! I'm very donk! :f_cry:

Hello!

I'm very glad achieving gold status (playing ~22 sng/day).

But, not very glad with studying this game ;(

I think I could be much better in some spots, mainly at bubble, by not spewy some chips.

Now, I will focus my on reviewing this hands and play less.

Hello!

Playing much less and trying to review my hands.
Looking for bad call and push that possibly are costing me a lot.

My plan is get out of this $1.5 limit asap. Also thinking in play 18-man too.

2013:

Aug -> Oct
SNGMTT 45-man $0.5:

From late Oct to the end of the year i played STT $1.5: (why?)

----
Not good results at STTs. Why? I think I've played a 'mechanic' mode and taking more difficult situations rather than play the standard (like making small raises with a short stack instead of push all-in).
But, I'm fine with the results.

2014:

Keep playing STT $1.5;
I'm thinking in playing SNG 6-Max.
Maybe some 45-man.

Also, I'm thinking in a coach of STT 9-Man.
I think it will help me to play the $3.5 and reach the $7 soon.

The idea of playing 6-max is to get more volume. But I'm not thinking in get a lot of volume in these micro limits.

2014 with a little (good) positive variance:

Cheers, and GL everyone!

Hi!

Just read an psychology article Time - A guide to often overlooked aspects of poker

I have been suffering with the following form of tilt (most of time is a call/fold spot): I think if is that a call or not, don't find a clear answer, do the call and right away I think "oh, bad call", but because the villians turns up mid-top range. Then, I find myself in a similar situation and I fold my hand because I think I will face another time the strong part of the villian's range.

I need to check this hands and realise if it is or not a call. Then I can free my mind and keep doing the decisions properly.

I consider myself relatively free of the self mind influence about the spots where I have to push.
Now, I have to work on that and improve my calling range as well as the mind trick...

Cheers! ;)

I'm not playing too much... (need to finish reports for Uni..)

Waw... almost 1k sngs LoL

I've playing 6 tables and very tight. Well...i fell like a miss some oportunites, but i think is better. I think is too difficult to lose playing tight this buy-in and I would like to explore some tendencies but i can't. I still have to learn a lot of things about icm before that.

Spoiler

This is the "Long-run" :P

Spoiler

I'm flying tomorrow evening, going back to Brazil. I'm happy but now I wish I could stay more.

Hope things get better soon in UK, anyone deserves these problems because of the bad weather...

Cheers guys!

Hi all!

I've been very busy, can't put volume =(

9-man results this month:

Today, i played some 45man. I really enjoy them.
I had (re)started playing 45man, but them I decided to play 9-man to improve icm playing for the late stage of the mult-table tournaments.

So, until June I'll be playing most 9-man during the week, and add some 45man at the weekends.

GL for all!

APRIL

I played 250 of 300 intended sits.
56 yesterday, to get enough vpps for mission week.
2 bi down doing it. I had to play 8 tables and I usually play 6 (max).

:spade: start mixing STTs $3.5
I play with a conservative bankroll. With some more $, I can include 33% of these sits, and so play with an avg bi just above $2.

:spade: play 300 sits
I didn't that, so lets try this month.

So...lets go!

Hi again!

Since my last post, I finished my grad and I started my master (in Brazil, it's a two year course).
I'm very happy for that! =]

In poker, I 'm not playing stts anymore. That is just because of time.
So, I'll try to play NL cash, 6-max, and also I have have entered in Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge.

Soon I'll post some specific goals.

Cheers!

Hey man, not sure you remember me, but we were in a skype group together for a few sessions - I really appreciated your input on a few hands as you were often looking at things from a different perspective as most of us and really got me thinking about things.

Sorry to see you aren't playing STT's anymore, but wish you tons of success in cash!

Hey hey,

I'm also on 6 max cash as of this month. Was at FR but decided to go 6 max and it's going well so far.

Flexibility was my reason to make the switch from STTs. Hope to see you at the tables and best of luck :f_drink:

Thank you guys!

Very nice to see you guys here! I wasn't expecting that! :f_drink:

@Ramble
I would play STTs, i really enjoy the format, but no time for that. Actually, I tried to play Hypers Satellites, but thats very tough. I mean, I liked it as well but really need much more time to see the results.

@maythany
I think i've noticed you first! I tried to talk to you on the chat....

well, actually i wasn't going very well until yesterday. I'll post the graph just because its nice. LoL

@zachrina
