KQ: once one of the flop card pairs on the river, I'm struggling to fold. It reduces the # of set combos by a third.

Don't like villain's lead much. If you are cbetting any boards, you are cbetting this one since it's Sahara dry. Clear spot for a ch/R. And he can't really balance his donking range here.

Yeah, that's what got me to call. I'm basically folding only to pocket deuces there and it always sucks to fold "cos he must be holding xx".

Pre-Flop: (150, 3 players) Hero is SB J♠ J♥
BTN folds, Hero raises to 200, BB goes all-in 6,189, Hero goes all-in 1,955

Flop: 5♣ 9♠ 2♠ (4,310, 2 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: 4♠ (4,310, 2 players, 2 all-in)

River: 3♦ (4,310, 2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: 4,310
BB shows high card Jack
J♣ 10:club:
Hero shows a pair of Jacks
J♠ J♥

Hero wins 4,310 (net +2,155)

BB collects 4,034 (net -2,155)

Got berated by a reg for this hand today. Guy is a huge winner but I've seen him going crazy against midstacks even when they're fish that don't care about the bubble both pre and post flop so I think against me he's gonna be shoving very close if not all the way to ATC. But that's just my guess.
Any opinions? Would you take this? Or rather just open shove?

Klompa: I don't play at your levels, nor with your intensity, but the current SNG philosophy appears to be to min-raise , then fold or call depending on the tournament situation, personal hand strength, direct opponent reads, etc. And nobody is backing away from JJ here.

Regarding the KQ hand, I'm never folding the flop (you have a bdfd as well), should probably fold the turn but I can see it's hard ingame, def fold the river obv.

You think it makes much difference when we're this short? Also, you never know what idea he might get on the flop, maybe that he can still make me fold or w/e. Not a big thing I guess.

Yeah, river fold is obv. Also the call on the flop I guess. Hard to say if he has anything else besides sets there. Would've been nice if he showed up with a FD. :)

Haha didn't even see that eff stacks were so short.. fishy reg indeed..

That's not the point, it doesn't matter what the current philosophy might be or if no one is backing away from JJ here. If an opponent is not reshoving close to ATC here, you are losing money big time in this spot, so to avoid that situation, it's better to shove.

Demonic said it all already. Personally, ingame, I knew it's not a fist pump r/c but I also didn't think he needs to reshove like 60% for this to be a good induce so that surprised me a bit. So, against most players, that's an open shove. Against this specific guy, I don't know, might've been a good r/c cos atm he was going crazy on some tables, writing stuff in the chat and playing wildly. But I'd be happier if I open shoved on him. :)

Very true but on the other hand if hero(Klompa) is not folding TP with 2nd kicker 3 barells vs me (seeing me as overly aggressive spewy reg) then the balance doesn't matter here cause he won't fold but rather go for bluff catch like he did here :)

P.S The only other hands I am playing this way would be AK and AA besides sets. If this wasn't against me sorry for interupting the blog

Around three weeks ago I reported two guys for chip dumping on me and today got an email back from support that they concluded those guys were cheating so they banned them. Funny thing is that since then I got two refunds from Stars and I figured it was because of those two guys. But, although they found them "guilty" I didn't get any money cos I finished first in that game. So, it seems cheaters have been quite busy lately. :)
Guys were just unlucky...it was my last table and they were doing it so obviously I just had to notice + they were from the same country + they had same city abbreviations in their screen names.

Movie corner
Couple of days ago I watched Prisoners with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. Although I'm not a fan of neither of them think they did a nice job. Movie surprised me, definitely one of the best this year IMO. A bit difficult with kinda gloomy atmosphere but didn't even notice 2.5 hours went by and that's always a good sign.

Didn't you miss the fact that it's a 4way pot? I mean it maybe dry but 4way it is nowhere near Sahara dry Furthermore, the likelyhood of Klompa cbetting w air is non-existent (I hope at least ) 4way.

What was shaping to be my best month ever didn't finish quite like that. Am pretty disappointed with it but what can I do. Ran miserably most of the month. Just setup after setup after setup. Not much to say about it. Feel like I improved a lot during this month but it's not much of a comfort. w/e, next month will be better. It's about time it gives me a break, last week was just horrendous, felt completely helpless. Think that my red line is greatly affected with the run, I'm not gonna bother myself with it anymore. I'm pleased that I played 6-7h a day in the last week, will try to "train" myself to play 8h a day, that's something I really need to do.

Hours played: 111
Games played: 1530
ROI: 0.4% (EV 0.9%)
Profit (including RB and refunds): 551$
$/hr (including RB and refunds): 4.96$

Can't stress out enough how disappointing this month was for me. But it's over and I'll do my best to have a solid December.

Yeah, this is completely normal. One more day of singing angels and dancing unicorns all around me.
25 BIs like it's no biggie. Setup after setup, bad beat after bad beat. So boring. :f_confused:

Had a great week. Played 48 hours, hit 5 golden SNGs in the promotion, won something in BOP, had/am having my first big heater on 15s. Fingers crossed that it continues for a bit longer. :f_biggrin:

Had another great week. Still enjoying the good run, pretty awesome, have to say.:)
Played 36 hours this week, find it a bit hard to maintain 8h/day throughout the month. That's a bit disappointing but will try to play as many hours as I can this month.
Started adding some 30s yesterday, feels pretty sweet. :f_cool: Just now and then when I see some good tables and it was the weekend so tables were pretty soft which is definitely pleasing and encouraging. :) Really looking forward to mixing limits, hope it goes ok on 30s.
