Beginners SnG analysis – Page 3

Hi guys, As alot of you will know I had to withdraw my roll due to personal reasons, and wont be grinding again for a few months. To keep me active, and to keep my poker thoughts active I've had an idea. I am offering SnG players the chance to send me a video of themselves playing, and I will evaluate your play. I will tell you what mistakes your making, and hopefully help you with bettering your game. If your having problems with a certain stage of a SnG, you can send me a video of you playing multiple SnG's at that stage. You can upload your video to the internet, and send me the download link via skype, MSN, email or the pokerstrategy IRC channel. I would prefer if the video's were around 45ish minutes. The video should be of you playing your usual limit, and playing your normal style. I would also appreciate it if you would talk while recording. I would like to know what your thinking when you make decisions, and why you are playing hands in a certain way. This will help me understand why you are making certain mistakes. I can either analyse the video by text or by me talking over your original video, and then sending it back to you. EDIT: If you guys could send me the hand history file of a certain SnG instead, that would be great. I will then replay the SnG, and talk over the video. Its much easier for me, as atm I cant create the video's of other peoples video's (computer problems). I would like the people who have a video evaluated, to make an incentive for me to do it (just like in tribuns and soys staking threads, in the past). This could be either: welcoming "X" amount of new comers to the forum, agreeing to post "X" amount of sample hands, answering "X" amount of questions on the forum, or just posting "X" amount of forum posts. Or your own incentive. I will do it on a gentlemans agreement, and trust the people will complete their part of the deal. That way you wont have to wait for you video to be evaluated. I hope you guys take advantage of this, as it will be the only time I focus on strategy play in the next few months, and it will help me stay active. Hey sgaf,

I'm not sure if FT save the hand histories without enabling an option.

Do you use tracking software?

If its not stored on your computer, you will need to email FT, and ask for the hand history. You will have to know the tourney ID #.

Hi - I have just started doing $1 sng's would it be possible to send you some HH - I think I have played about 10 so far. $8 down so need HELP.

Hi cannell...

I just wanted to know how to convert the videos made by camtasia... they are on PCM(wav) format...
The software i use don't support PMC... and somehow rapidshare isn't working ...

This is very nice idea. I will definatly try to write my sng's video when I will have a free time, I just wonder how long this offer is? I am 4tabbling 3.40$ sng in stars was doing fine a month ago but now it is not so great any more so I think this is such a great offer then I will definetly use it and I promise to post my sng hands in forum atleast once a week. I would be glad if I could more but I am studying and working and don't have much free time.

Hey 1seednoir1,

I'm not sure, I dont use camtasia. I use BSR, as its the easiest to use imo. Also converting the files is a piece of cake on BSR.

Hi sahists,

I have a hell of alot going on in my personal life atm, so sadly I wont have any free time in the next few weeks. Once I have free time again, i'll make a new post to let everyone know.

You can always ask Unam if he'll make a video for you. He is an excellent SnG player, and a good coach. Heres his thread.

@sgaf + grudge, i'm just waiting for my brother to finish on his computer, and will send you the video's right away. Sorry for the long wait.

I know you have a lot on at the mo - so please if you haven't done mine. Leave it, as i was extra CRAP then and i have improved a little now, so only a little crap now. So please with all the other stuff going on in your life, please DUMP mine. Maybe some time in the future we can have another go.
