How can a wanker like Tim Sherwood get them to play like that when suave, sophisticated AVB couldn't? It's just beyond me. I am, however, happy, although I'm not optimistic about the next 12 months.

That is harsh on Mr. Sherwood IMO. Small sample but he's off to a great start. I'm really glad that Liverpool played your lot just before this turnaround.
Levy needs to chillax and let Sherwood have AT LEAST 18 months and see how it goes.
Today I finally downloaded a 10 day trial of PokerSnowie. I gave it all the NL50 hands I've played so far this year (huge sample obviously).
Woohoo! I'm an expert. Why does this not make me happy? 
I looked at what it claimed were blunders, and it was mainly me 3betting preflop with the wrong sorts of hands (as usual) - it seems very tight preflop - but this one confused me.
I'm 3bet from the blinds and call with JJ. This it's happy with. I check back the flop. OK. Then I get berated for calling a half pot bet on the turn.
Too many aces in Villains optimal preflop 3betting range?? Idk, but it's very interesting to try this thing out.
You can also play against lots of clones of Snowie and see how you do. I will try this and report back.
My daughter was in the shower tonight, and after singing Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade, moved onto singing this, which I got for Xmas. That's my girl!

Screenshot please. Not that I can't believe it. It's entirely possible that one could play a strategy that results in both you and Snowie losing money. That's multiplayer games for you. It's also very different playing me v 5 Snowies to what you'd get playing Snowie v 5 randoms. Pinch of salt required for sure.
Interesting. Of course, those clever Snowie people will be training their neural network on these hands, so maybe it'll adjust. If those hands are HU, it certainly should be able to, as it's a zero sum game. If those hands were played against multiple opponents then things are looking less good for Snowie, as there can be multiple equilibria and it may be sitting near one that can be exploited by this approach. Local equilibrium is not a guarantee of winning against all possible strategies (a global equilibrium) in the way that it is for a two player zero sum game. Writing a bot that adjusts is much harder than writing one that plays a fixed strategy. On the other hand, just because this approach beats Snowie doesn't mean it's a good idea in the real world, and if you sit a person playing like Snowie with one maniac and four players who can adjust to the maniac, it should make money off the other four, who will also keep the maniac in check to some extent.
