Thank you for your answers. It's fantastic that PS has you... for the time being my life is a mess but I will have absolutely no excuses in a month time, so I will read a lot, get a solid theoretical basis and try to apply things myself, then I'll get a few hours from you if you still coach. I did something similar with Erik last summer, and this approach works perfectly for me. Take care
Hi,
i think you have discussed about this question somewhere in the forums, but you now, ask again is much easier ![]()
Anyway my issue is then I'm running good and all sessions are green, I'm starting thinking about upcoming downswing. I'm skipping my sessions just to avoid loosing feeling. Before playing I'm asking myself, is this session will be bad? How it will effect my mood? I try to escape from the future bad feelings, and this really cutting my volume down.
Any suggestions would be great.
Many thanks.

Hi SpecialEdd,
I think you can ask Erik Stenqvist about this in his Q & A thread, as this is more of his area of expertise :).

Hello sir I need you to judge something for me.
Competitive sports or not
I play floorball competitively (teamsport like ice hockey. I pay for it - you get no salary even if you play highest league)
trainings take me 19:30-23:00 3x per week. Which is prime time and my hourly is increased significantly, also my energy level peak comes after 19:00.
On top of that every second weekend there's games - at home they take around hours, away whole weekend.
I have decided that next year I'm going abroad for winter to a poker house which means I pretty much don't have the chance to play in the highest league team (3rd league currently).
If I didn't play floorball I'd do non-competitive sports like gym, squash etc. with my friends (aka, no competition motivation, higher chance of not going but on the other hand can fit schedule perfectly).
My main vision is to become successful at poker and is the most important thing right now.
[Q1]Should I keep playing floorball or switch to non competitive sports that I can fit into poker routine
Also follow up question
[Q2]is it a must to have a set schedule?
especially when it comes to sleeping. Floorball is excercise at night so O always go to sleep later on training days etc.
Hi,
1) I'd personally make sure that your prime time is actually helping you move towards your vision. In the end you'll need to decide by yourself though.
2) fixed length + fixed time of going to sleep/waking out works best. 2nd best from my experience is at least having consistent length of sleep, even if you don't manage to go to bed at the same time sometimes.
