Good day to all!

Just want to share what my best friend has accomplished after 7 days of doing assignments I set him up without any prior poker knowledge. I will list things I gave him to learn and after this he is 2 tabling on his laptop (since yesterday) and already crushing 1.5$ 6 max - super proud of him!

Assignments I gave him within 7 days:
- Learn opening ranges for each of the 5 positions
- Learn defend range vs all opponents in and out of position (early and mid phase)
- Learn defend range vs passive opponents (early and mid phase)
- Learn bb defend range vs sb (early and mid phase)
- Learn 3 bet early and mid phase
- Learn call 3 bet and/or 4 bet all in early and mid phase
- Do every day minimum 100 examples with screen shots in ICM trainer (4-6,3-3,2-2)
- What hands do we call 1,2,3 streets, what hands do we bet 3 streets, reasons to bet
- Poker strategy basic articles on poker and sngs (especially odds and outs and equity)
- HU nash equilibrium chart to memorize call and shove for 10bb
- 4-6 players NASH shoving range with added edge of 0.10 in even stack setup
- Bubble adjusting to nash shoving ranges in various stack setups with edge of 0.10
- Concept when to steal chips, from which position and how to play HU

All this my best friend did in less than one week and I must say I am amazed with his progress. The ranges he knows by memory (hands + %) and I think there is very bright future ahead of him in poker - nobody believed in him because he never did anything serious and dedicated himself into his whole life but now he is shoving some real talent and hard work for poker - who would have guessed!

Here is his sharkscope graph 2 tabling past 2 days , already 55 games played! I gave him assignment to grind 1000 games this month 2 tabling and by the end of the month to increase to 4 tabling. In February we will aim for 1.5k - 2k games minimum 4 tabling to increase to 6 tabling. In March I plan for him to mix 1.5 with 3.5 , play 3k games a month and make 500$+ pre rb!

Graph stats:
55 games
ROI 21.9% (18.08$)
ITM 47.3%
1st 22% 2nd 25% 3rd 9% 4th 16% 5th 13% 6th 15%

Wow - starting from zero poker knowledge that seems like a crazy ambitious first week... I think my head would explode. Good for you guys and I hope he continues to do well.

There is one thing missing though - he needs to start a blog so I can follow his progress :).

I couldn't agree with you more on everything you said :)
He is unemployed has all the time in the world for poker so he decided to really dedicate to it. Plus it helps that I bust his balls a lot telling him all the horror downswing stories in poker testing his mental strenght if he got what it takes to do it for a living ;)
I will definitely have him open a blog at poker strategy but it might take some days. Want him to learn to review hands in HEM so that he can post graphs, interesting things he learned etc :)

Ivica,

1. Add to your HM statistics in Reports - "ICM DIF" and upload photo, how much money you owe the other players.

2. Stop to play for PokerStars(rakeback) and try to make some profit!

Today I played 100 games in 2 sessions (50 games each) without any table selection. Before playing I did 1 hour of working on the game, 2 hours working with my brother on his game and 1 hour working with my best friend on his game! My grind took 3.6 hours as I was mostly 15 tabling. Played 3 x 30s where I cashed in 1 but in other 2 I lost all setups. Since I am playing with my own roll now, I will wait to have like 300 buy ins for 30s to switch exclusively to them or 200 to start mixing them up more freely with 15s.
Anyways here is the combined graph using 30s for the day, without it EV for 15s is even higher!

January 2nd
100 games
EV ROI 5.7% (90.47$)
ROI -5.3% (-84.15$)
ITM 32%
1st 20% 2nd 12% 3rd 17% 4th 24% 5th 12% 6th 15%

Super pleased with my HU game!
Off to get some sleep now tomorrow is early LTT session - have to find a way to wake up that early

P.S. Some days I will play well over 100 games like 200 or something because I want to have days off but still play 3k games 10 months in this year!

Not that I have ever been there, but why don't you guys just move to Thailand and rent nice villa there? Doesn't seem like there is anything keeping you in Serbia.

Valid question , several reasons
1) Right now my family situation is of a kind where I can't move anywhere for longer period of time (have to stay close here in Nis)
2) I just started playing on my own like 2 days ago so I am way under rolled to move to Thailand
3) This year I plan several different travels (Sofia, Prague, USA - those are minimum)
4) Lifestyle in Thailand would work for me as future SNE or something (knowing myself I would just party with Asian girls, drink Votka and Red Bull or Beer and grind like 4-5 hours a day tops !)
5) I have taken my brother and best friend under my wing and I plan to teach them to make a living out of poker which means I can't just leave them now (yet)
6) Life in Serbia is great, family is here, friends are here, hot Serbian girls are here, its cheap to live here (excellent way to build a roll and improve faster) food and drinks are great , the only thing missing for me is Asian girls :)

Gavron wants to go there so bad, I also want to go there but now is not the time unfortunately. Maybe next year , in the meanwhile have to settle with Prague and 4 weeks in USA :)

You want an Asian girl bad don't you??

In my experience they LOVE the money!!!!!!!!!! (but are hot so I could live with that, then trade her in in a few years )

Hi everyone,

Just a polite reminder that we like to keep everything friendly in our forum. If we don't have anything of relevance to add then it's best not to make a post at all, right?

Happy New Year to everyone!
