Stars Nick?
I'll put $1 on that right now
hahahaha 50/1 id love a $ but would probably rather burn my money than bet on the scum!
What better time to bump than transfer window time seasons will be made this month, smart money is man city all the way but if Arsenal sign a class striker and a solid defender then i can see them sneaking the title but will be close all the way.
Your reds are having a good season Gary they could attract some big names with the way they are playing at the moment and Suarez new contract unless thats just a plan to get more money for him?
Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton even Man utd, Spurs and Newcastle all in with a shout for top 4 imo great season so far, shame to see Southampton slip off a bit they're playing some lovely football just need consistancy
Yeh, it's been a great season so far for Liverpool although I get the feeling that we have peaked far too early and it's gonna flat line for the remainder unless we get some serious squad depth this month.
Any injuries like we had in the past 4 weeks, Gerrard, Sturridge, Sahko and we are very bare so we need some depth badly and fe hast if we are going to maintain a title tilt. To be honest, I'd snap 4th place tomorrow morning and build from there. I would imagine 100m will get Suarez in the summer if we don't make the CL and I doubt he will be allowed to go to another PL Club. Couldn't deny him the door if he wanted it without the CL next season.
I honestly think Chelsea are gonna win it. City have a far tougher second half (away against everyone in the top 8 iirc and Mourinho has done it all before. Arsenal have done very well to be at the top for so long but I reckon there is a bad patch to come and even if there isn't a few injuries and I think they are in trouble as well. I mean Bendtner FFS is your only back up striker LOL. How does that happen?
Would love to hear some other opinions!
If reports are true I am led to believe Suarez has a £70m release clause in his contract if they don't qualify for the Champions League this season. I think they will qualify though and he'll stay. If not he'll be the first out the door!
I'm an Arsenal fan, and Bendtner's definitely not our only back up striker. Podolski led the line against Cardiff, didn't have the greatest game but he's just back from a long injury so he'll take time. I like him as a striker anyway as opposed tso o on the left, great finisher. Walcott then led the line in the FA Cup against Spurs yesterday and was arguably one of the best players on the pitch. I've also never been Bendtner's biggest fan but credit where credit's due he has done what's required of him this season when he's played (scored the opener against Cardiff late on last weekend). So to say we've got little options up front is a little misleading as we have more than capable players already. In saying that, I would definitely not say no to a world class striker as even though we do have options, even when all fully fit I wouldn't say Giroud is high enough quality when you compare him to the likes of Suarez, Aguero and RvP.
It's funny, I know we were nowhere near getting Suarez but the title race would be so different if we did. I firmly believe Arsenal would have a clear lead and Liverpool would be lucky to be in a Europa League spot. Game of fine margins!

Yeah i've read about this 70m a few times today, if its true all of the big clubs will be on alert for sure.
How about Mata to liverpool? that would be an awesome signing showing some real intent. It's obvious he isnt a big part of Jose's plans and while he wouldn't like to sell to another PL team the right offer would do the trick for sure.
I'm a Leeds fan and its not exactly been the best few weeks for us but we're still up with a shout at coming back to the big time just got everything crossed that the investment comes this month
Whos going down? I cant see Sunderland or West ham staying up and i hope Norwich complete the 3

If Bareth Gale is worth £86m I'm not letting him go for less than £100m AINEC. So I would be highly disappointed and insulted if they didn't put that amount in as his GTFO Clause. Figures in papers are rubbish as it was part of the deal that the magic number stayed between 4 people IIRC.

Yes and no. A lot of different factors to consider, how quickly would he have settled in, Arsenal's system etc. Look at Torres at Chelsea, completely different systems has not been a shade of the guy that left Liverpool for £50m. L iverpool done alright in the first 5 league games without Suarez as well so I don't think we'd be that for off without him either. Obviously, yes, he has scored 20 PL goals but I don't think we'd be much futher off the pace than we are currently.

Well out and out striker he is the only BU, you cannot classify Podolksi or Walcott as out and out strikers. They would chip in with the odd goal here and there but neither would score 15-20 from up top. Giroud is a joke IMO (harsh?) He's just not a top top striker and you need someone better.
Speaking honestly, I'd love Arsenal to win it over Chelsea, Man City but I just don't see it happening this year. Please prove me wrong though.
Top 4 predictions boys?

I'd snap call Mata, no problem. Although Jose is gonna keep him and it would be ridic to let him go to us when you think about it. Be like Liverpool selling Suarez to Arsenal in the summer. If he goes, it'll be to Spain, Italy or Germany. Mata isn't Mourinho's type of player as talented as he is. He'd fit in perfectly for Liverpool, he'd go in ahead of Sterling for me but it would be hard to pick him ahead of Coutinho-Sturridge-Suarez as well.
The PL is not as good without Leeds and it's really hard to think that only what 10 years ago they were in the CL Semis! Would be nice to see them back up in the top flight again for sure.
Going down, West Ham without a doubt and today's result proved that they are in a bad way. Sunderland might just stay up. Palace, Fulham, WBA are all there or thereabouts. Gut tells me West Ham, West Brom and Fulham. I think Solksjaer's appointment came at the right time despite it being the worst sacking of a manager since Steve Clarke at WBA. The PL is a funny fucking league when you think about it.
Top for for me atm is Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in that order Man City will get their away form in order before long and i think they will be champions with anywhere up to 5 games to spare i would prefer to see it as man city arsenal liverpool and everton but chelsea unfortunately have too much class and a great manager so thats not going to happen
I kind of agree with you about suarez to arsenal Liverpool had a great start to the season without him but if you had been without him and you still got sturridges injury then you would have been screwed imo
By the way another great result for Utd today hahaha
Haha missed the last ten minutes and assumed that Swansea got the draw by your post. Even better!
Semi finals Croatia- Denmark, this will be hard bcs Denmark plays at home, final before the final imo.

PS. Can't wait until that hypocrite Lance Armstrong finally gets his. Maybe him being bought to justice will be the thing that FINALLY gets the cycling fraternity to take doping seriously. It's awesome to think that one day I might be able to love watching cycling again. Fingers crossed.
On my now semi annual trawl of the PS.com forums, and find that I'm a soothsayer. My ego can't let me miss this call in epic bumped thread.

1-3 seems to high, Switzerland is great team + playing home.. I would say something like 1-1 would be realistic, but wouldn't mind 1-3 ♦
