Hey bro how are you doing? Happy 2014!

I like to use these hands as 3bet bluffs, they will often call 3bets with really good hands and we have blockers to them such as aq, ak, qq, kk, aa.

if i have reads on them post flop such as they cbet too much then calling is good as they will represent k high, qhigh and a high boards alot and thus we can get good value out of the hand

Tnx for your answer and happy new year to u2 !

I was thinking about that as they prob would become the top of my foldingrange at some spots but I find myself a little bit too afraid to end up spewing vs those ranges.

hez bro

i raise most donk bets as bluff

if somebody donks a62

i will call with weak aces, raise good aces, raise air hands and just call with pairs between 6 and A.

Why do u use the "3bet Total" stat in your HUD ?
I think thats the wrong one ... u should better use "3bet Preflop".

"3bet Total"
Percentage of the time that a player 3Bet on any street when given the opportunity to do so.

Formula: (Number of Times Player 3Bet Preflop + Number of Times Player 3Bet Flop + Number of Times Player 3Bet Turn + Number of Times Player 3Bet River) / (Number of Times Player Could 3Bet Preflop + Number of Times Player Could 3Bet Flop + Number of Times Player Could 3Bet Turn + Number of Times Player Could 3Bet River)

You´re saying the notetracker is one of the most important "stats/notes/tool" etc ... do u display every possible note available in PT4 or only the notes/ranges of preflopaction (3bet,4bet+, ...)?

I think you should use the notes where you get most lost or that you think "wow I'd really love to know exactly xyz"

I think mainly this comes from pre flop ranges.

So for example if I 3bet gt called and bet flop and the board is 872q I want to know if he's called a lot of pre flop 3bets previously with suited connectors and small pocket pairs and thus if so I'm more likely to barrel the queen.

Hello,

How do you approach against fishies snap4bets after you 3bet them for value?
I used to do 5b with most of QQ, AK, KK and call/fold/5b rest depending on fish and his sizing.

But I just realized that they almost always have AA after they snap 4bet,
unfortunately I cant filter those spots in hm2 to prove that :).

So I decided to ask about it someone more experienced.

Thanks and regards

The thing is bro, is that fish just play so unexpctsnt and crazy that we can't fold the top of our range. I don't mind calling the 4bet with qq and playing down the streets a little bit and maybe hero folding certain boards and bet sizings but with kk and AA I just go with it

Hey Patrick

I'm currently playing on iPoker and recently they changed everything to €. I was close to nl$50, but now I'm well under rolled. What would you do?

a) Keep playing nl20 because I know the field, keep improving, kick their sorry **** and move to nl€50 when I have the roll.

b) Move to a $ site and start playing nl$50 as soon as possible.

c) Use the $500 bonus that I'm saving for coaching as a BR boost, stay on iPoker and grind nl€50 and get coaching later.

Pretty shitty spot I'm in now :(

Thanks!

Ras

hello pleno,

I'd like to know, how is your general idea when we 3 betting KK and the flop comes something like A84 rainbow?

or in what we should think for to play appropriately this spot?

regards!

Hey pleno1

I've seen your coaching sessions here at Pokerstrategy (which are extremely helpful, keep it up).

You were defending the BB with hands like J8s after someone raises and another player flats.

I've been trying this but I'm bleeding quite a lot of money from the BB.

What range of hands should we be doing this ?

And what is necessarily to play them profitable ?
Things like play the draws aggressively and watch out for reverse implied odds ?

Thanks! =)

Hi Pleno, how do u play those spots?

As played i give me the right odds to call so deep preflop.

On the flop i bet small like i would with my whole range.

do u take the free card or do u bet big to be commited on the turn ?!

what do u think about bet/f very small and jam the river?

___________

would u sqz AA/KK if u sit on the SB with the recreational player behind in BB ?

Hi pleno1,
I started asking this question on this weeks live coaching but every time you started to reply my internet lagged :rage:

Regarding Blind defence.

I have found that I dont really have 'calling range' SB/BB vs BUT - I typically 3bet or fold. I know that this is mainly because I am not comfortable playing OOP without initative. The only hands I tend to call on either blind are small-mid pairs. I realise my 'range' then is super exploitable -
What hands would you incorporate into your SB&BB 'calling range?'

Thus far I have had a fair amount of success 3bet or folding as typically people fold too much to 3bet at my limits so I have only recently started rethinking my blind defence.

Thanks for any feedback and thanks for your hard work on the Wednesday night coaching, always inspiring stuff.

MD

First of all I wouldn't worry about being exploitable or not at NL5-NL10, you're just making things more complicated for no reason. I would just think which hands are +ev to call. If you almost never call from SB/BB vs BTN, I would start to add some hands into my calling range and go from there. Hands like KJs/QJs/JTs/AJs/KQo are pretty good to call with in this situation. And keep in mind that you can call more from BB than SB because you're getting worse odds from SB + BB is still behind you and he gets to act after you.

Hey pleno1,

Something that I'm facing pretty often is check raises on super dry board. How to deal with them with unknown players ?

Boards like:
2 6 9 rainbow
Q 5 2 rainbow

Cheers mate!

Hi

I would move and play nl50 dollars because the rake will be bigger at nl25 and from a confidence pov and motivation its nice to play higher if youre confident you can beat the game

You could also move to a different site and leave 4-5 buy ins on ipoker and game select the very good games.

Hi Jose

I would check back alot, I also check back a decent amount of Ax here so when I check back these flops its not like my range is super weak.

It feels like SB has a hand better than 99, I would just check the turn and try to improve. I doubt he will fold many better hands when he check calls flop when it its 4 way.
